Well, I think it is pretty clear that I am not going to be able to continue. I am sorry about that everyone. At least we were able to liberate Whitebridge with an epic battle.

Thank you all so much for the good roleplay and for hanging in there with me.

Putting the bodies of Stig and an unknown gnome to rest underground, you all quietly get about with the business of loading up the salvaged goods and get back on the River Queen.

Faruq pulls the anchor and the boat continues on upriver. "We must be ever cautious, the river narrows up ahead and the trees completely envelope the river." The river does perdiocally narrow and widen, leaving the crew feeling on high alert.

Despite the warning, nothing significant happens over the next day or so. At some point during the journey the Captain strikes up a conversation with Shwarto regarding the spores of Acrophage he found. "That amount won't help keep us going; we need more. However, please keep them for your studies as I promised. Maybe you can figure out a way to make them reproduce. If we had some plant creature, we could implant them, but that is all I know about it."

After a couple of days, you pass by a major fork in the river. "This is where the Kurka river meets the Vanjii (which is what you are on). The water here is disgusting out of the main channel and the Kurka swamp stretches out for 3 or so miles up along the Kurka. Nantambu is just upriver but we may need to come back here. We'll almost certainly find plant creatures here."

The main other point of interest is that over the last few days Faruq has taken ill. Until today, he has trudged through it, "just a bit of river sickness" he quips. However, this morning he is barely able to get up from bed due to the fever.

It is the morning of Day 9 on the journey. 8 days on the river and you basically lost a day at Whitebridge.
For some reason, I just get and error constantly when trying to edit the Campaign tab.

Hey all, I am really struggling with free time, sorry about the lack of updates. Every day I think "tomorrow I will get a chance", but then it doesn't happen. Just wanted to let you know what was going on.

As far a loot goes, all of the elf stuff is yours. The items in the armory belong to Aspis, however the captain is fine with you keeping anything that is an upgrade. The rest of the masterwork items will go to Nightfall. Anything else found is yours to handle.

The captains countenance falls and he shakes his head. "I am very sorry for the loss of Stig. Dying out here so far from home is a terrible price to pay for adventure and some gold. We should certainly take care of his body and the other you found hanging. As for the elf bodies, they should be tossed in the river as far as I am concerned."

[b]"It is very curious that you found no bodies but the more I hear of this tribe the less I am inclined to believe they are still alive." He looks over at Speraggo."Sorry friend, but we cannot madly trounce through the jungle and look for them. What if we do find them? They took out all of Whitebridge for Rova's sake. That party of nine elves you fought was probably just a small part of the raiding party. How many would it take to carry everyone away?"

Separaggo nods in uncomfortable silence and after a moment speaks up, "Take me to Nantambu Captain and let me go. I am through here. Someone there will help."

The captain frowns for a bit and then agrees, "Yes, we should head to Nantambu, it is not that far. Though, I do fear we don't have the magical fuel to make it there. We must get somewhere to get word back to Aspis as they will need to staff up this entire station again."

Captain looks over at you all, [b]"Have you any way to get a message hundreds of kilometers back to bloodcove?[b]"

@Selena: light crossbow. Yes you are able to find a shortbow in the armory.
@Shwarto: in addition to its obvious poison use, you know that arsenic is a last ditch cure to sleeping sickness. If the original infection point of the source flies is completely doused in arsenic, and the patient survives the dosing, they are usually cured from the disease.
@Shakaro: The MW heavy mace does have a wooden shaft. You are also able to locate a longspear and sickle in the armory.

You head back down the gangway and board the skiff. The rowing back to the boat is much more difficult without Stig handling the lion's share, but eventually you get close enough to the River Queen that they toss you a rope and pull you in. You unload your haul and perhaps collapse on the deck while the Captain approaches from the topdeck.

"Well? What did you find?", the captain asks anxiously.

Shwarto skillfully opens the lock on the armory door, noticing that the elves (most likely anyway) had tried to force it open but failed.

Within this armory is a cache of mundane and masterwork weapons and armor. Of note, there looks to be a masterwork quality halberd, masterwork chainmail, masterwork crossbow, and masterwork heavy mace.

There is a high chance you could find a specific simple weapon here and the same for light armor, if you desired any.

Additionally, there is a small chest with the lid already open and inside you see a number of crossbow bolts, 3 smokesticks, a crowbar, and a healer's kit. Strangely, within the healer's kit are 5 bottles labeled arsenic.

You cover up Stig's body for now and set out to look for survivors in the building, taking about a minute in each to check around the camp. Here is the summary of the area.

Bridge Buildings:
- All buildings look to be thoroughly looted except noted below
- Armory: Locked
- Manager's Office, Officer Quarters, Garrison, Smith's quarters, while ransacked of valuables, do have remnants of personal affects strewn about
- Smithy: There are a few mundane weapons laying around. You find a dagger, spiked guantlet (still in progress), morningstar, and longspear with a broken shaft.
- Both tollbooths: There are a number of coins on the ground, mostly in silver and copper. Taking the time to collect them results in: 5 gp worth in the west tollbooth and 7 gp worth in the east tollbooth.
- Storehouse: Contains pieces of what was a plant creature of some kind. There are tiny spores on the ground that detect magic that look similar to the acrophage the captain has shown Shwarto. The few spores can be carefully collected but clearly this won't be enough to refuel the engine. The sign of battle in this room is clear.

Warehouse/Guest House:
- The eastern door stands open and the elf that went inside is nowhere to be seen
- A single silver necklace is found in the guest house
- The warehouse does contain some crates/barrels that are still intact, but most others have been bashed open.

Paddock Area:
- Well: Has been clearly soiled with anything the elves could throw down
- Paddock: Clear signs of battle. There are a large number of bloodstains about the field where fat black flies congregate. All the farm animals are gone. The fields have been sabotaged.

Laborer Housing:
- Black flies swarm the body of a gnome hanging from the main beam. He suffered numbers wounds from arrows and other weapons
- One of the houses did have a trap door in the floor but it was discovered and is empty
- There is no sign of other survivors

Outskirts:
- A large amount of tracks lead into the eastern jungle

The rest of you can decide to wear one or not. The non lethal damage is inconsequential at the moment. If it becomes relevant, we'll roll it.

Waseem (1) vs Shwarto (2), who put on amulet first?: 1d2 ⇒ 2
NL dmg: 1d4 ⇒ 4

Shwarto hands out the amulets and is the first to put one on. As soon as the amulet hits his chest the thorn vines expand and dig into his chest (take 4 NL dmg). The pain seems to be much less than what would be expected of thorns digging into flesh, but it hurts the wayang nevertheless (about the equivalent of a modern shot). More startling, Shwarto is not able to remove the amulet once it is attached to him. However, as expected, he notices his skin magically hardening up.

A full spellcraft check will reveal that the item is also functions as "cursed", in that it cannot be removed normally. There seems to be no other downside, and this enchantment was probably placed on them to keep them in place, or perhaps identify members of the tribe easier. Anything that can remove a curse will also allow the amulet to be removed.

Heal, DC15:
Shwarto's nonlethal damage is just from the normal pain of the thorns digging into flesh and can be healed as any other non-lethal damage.

As soon as Shakaro heals Shwarto, he stops feeling the throbbing around his chest where the amulet sits.

I was guessing that is what you were going for. Yes, I think it would be -3 with the mwk longbow.

Speraggo nods at Selena and softly says "Perhaps. I don't know. I have been with the captain for a long time but never really spent much of any time here at the station. I do know these elves are ruthless in their hatred for us humans though."

They are all amulets of natural armor +1. I had the school wrong in previous post. They are individually crafted from natural wood and some strong thorny vine. This construction is typical of items a jungle shaman would make.

After a time of sadness over the death of Stig, Selena quietly searches around the battle on the bridge and is able to replenish her darts. While focused looking for her own arrows, she suddenly snaps out of a mind fog and has to laugh at herself at the perhaps hundreds of arrows still in the quivers of the elves. Taking a few, she notices they are expertly crafted and there are two different types. Some arrow bear a razor sharp obsidian tip while other have a tip from some sort of large thorn plant that also bears some sort of sticky substance on them.
You are able to collect many normal and coated arrows. There are around 80 coated arrows and 40 normal arrows.

She turns her attention to finding a proper bow and sees that all of the elves had longbows made by a master craftsman (Mwk quality). Additionally, the elves carried a masterwork quality dagger and each also wore a similarly styled amulet around their necks. The amulet is made from some combination of thorn vine and a dark barked jungle tree.

Meanwhile, Shwarto sends Twikli back to the ship with a message. The owl circles the deck a couple of times and having not detected any danger lands on the topdeck. Danner moves over to the owl and removes the note. He opens it, scratches his head a bit, and hands it to the captain. "Don't know the language cap'n. Maybe you do."
The Captain looks it over and shakes his head. "If we didn't just fend off a horde of savage elves, I may have thrown you overboard," the Captain smirks. "Its just written in script style."
The captain reads the message and nods approvingly at the owl. He digs up a pencil and scribbles a message back.

Twikli flies back and lands at Shwarto's feet. He takes the note and reads it.

Ok here. We will continue to stay near middle of river to protect the boat. Search the buildings for salvage. If find plant creature, be careful that is our fuel.

Cutting to Speraggo ...

After finally recovering from exhaustion, he picks his head up. "My sister. We have to find her, dead or alive."

Waseem summons another spider which attacks the raptor. Its bite hits and the raptor fails the fort save. (9 dmg, poisoned, -1 str)
[-]Shwarto casts acid dart but misses the (peach) elf in the chaos of battle.
[-]Shakaro mightily crashes his club into the raptor. It lets out a nasty squeal and falls to the ground unconscious. Switching you over to the elf instead since the raptor is down. He then follows up and swings at the (peach) elf, hitting him in the thigh. The elf cries out as his leg is obviously shattered, and moments later he falls to the ground as well. Shakaro then heals himself.
[-]Selena moves into view of Shakaro's fierce attacks, about to try and daze the elf. However, she backs off after seeing the oracle take out the raptor and elf with his club.

As a side note, one of Columbus' old maps has been uncovered and published recently. It was pretty interesting to see what explorers in that time understood and didn't understand about the world.

You all do a very good job at being descriptive during your actions. Keep it up and feel free in your creative freedom here. I am going to try and focus more on resolution and less description on my end for your combat actions.
The elves AC is 14 nominally to help you out here.

[-]Shwarto successfully suprises and hits the cyan elf (14 damage) and then disappears back into hiding.
[-]Selena casts unwitting ally on the peach elf. (passes save). Though the creature saved, she continues to play her inspirational battle tune.
Waseem's crossbow shot misses the elf wide to the right. Waseem's spider moves to the cyan elf and sinks its fangs into him. The elf flinches at the pain from the bite, looks as though he is steeling himself for a moment, and then just falls to the ground dying. (9 dmg, not poisoned)
[-]Shakaro's clubs smashes into the blue elf's head and he falls to the ground, clearly dead.(21 damage, dead). He then smashes his club into the peach elf's abdomen, who is clearly caught off guard by the sudden turn of events.
[-]Speraggo (npc) having lost his target, steps out to see what is going on with the fight at the gate. Seeing another elf still standing, he loads his crossbow.

Waseem takes advantage of the lull in the battle to check on Stig, pouring a healing potion of cure light wounds into his mouth. Stig's body jerks a little, briefly offering Waseem hope, before falling motionless once again. It is now clear that Stig isn't coming back..
Waseem's shoots another strand of webbing out at the elves, but they all dodge easily.Let me know if I am doing anything wrong there. I didn't look up how the spider's web works again, but 10 doesn't hit the elf AC. I am also not sure how it hits all 3 but wont worry about that right now. Heh, and I just also came to Shakaro's comment. For this combat it is fine since we've already been doing it that way. I believe it also had limited uses per day and so we will just say that 6 uses are gone (for the 6 targets it has already tried to entangle)
[-]Shwarto steps out of the shadows and fires off another blob of acid splash on one of the elves outside the gate (cyan). The blob of acid strikes him along the side of the face and he cries out in pain. (12 damage).
[-]Selena continues her inspiring melody and also casts Daze on the one of the elves (dark blue). (fails save).The elf immediately looks as though he's become transfixed with Selena's pipe play and quits struggling with the webs.
[-]Shakaro pulls the gate open brings his club down upon the dazed elf's head, catching him across the left cheek.(19 damage).
[-]Speraggo (npc) shoots his crossbow at the elf across the pit, trying to get a hit in before the elf retreats inside the building. His bolt again sails wide, though.

Stig injuries are pretty intense; it’s hard to imagine he is still alive but you know he is a strong human. With a 3 , you are convinced he is dead at this point but you know you only took a quick look as well.

[-]Shakaro moves towards the gate and casts divine favor on himself.
[-]Shwarto moves away from the gate and casts mage armor on himself.
Waseem aims his crossbow through the iron bars and lands a bolt into the elf (red) trying to get up the gangway to rejoin the fight. (2 dmg) Since he's in middle of trying to pull himself up and over the rail, I'm going to make him roll a climb check too for taking damage.. Waseem's summoned spider shots bolt of webbing at the elves outside the gate. Two of the elves (blue, cyan) look affected by the webs. I moved the spider onto the roof, which would be needed to get a clear shot with the webs.
[-]Selena moves forward and puts the Pipes of the Sewers to her lips, blowing a whimsical battle tune to Inspire Courage of her allies.
[-]Speraggo (npc) loads his crossbow and takes another shot at the elf on the other side of the pit. The bolt misses wide as the elf dodges quickly out of the way.Something is cleary wrong with Speraggo, though you may not notice with the battle ongoing.

AoO Resolutions on Elf
Selena's attack misses.
The spider's bite sinks into the elf and it looks like the poison continues to affect him.
The elf's attack resolves and Selena takes 5dmg from the arrow.

[-]Shakaro heals himself and moves back down the bridge towards the others.
[-]Shwarto tries to catch the elf that just jumped over the rail off guard with an acid splash but misses (yeah the iron bars provide partial cover from attacks, but I can't see how they would allow a stealth check).
Waseem castes haste on the group, envigorating everyone else around. His summoned spider once again bites into the elf and he begins to stagger. (poison saves reset, duration extended, probably won't matter).
[-]Selena takes advantage of the elf's distraction and horror from the spider and quickly stabs him in the torso twice.(15 dmg dead). The elf falls to the ground, clearly dead now.
[-]Speraggo (npc) moves to the railing and readies an action to shoot his crossbow if the elf escapes the pit. ().

[-]Twikli and Wasseem watch as the elf on the shoreline (red) moves along the gangway until the railing is more accessible. He is able to jump upwards the 3 or so feet to get a hand hold on the railing and begins trying to climb up it.
[-]The (peach) elf atop the bridge steps further out into view and quickly fires off two shots at Shwarto. One arrow clanks off the iron bars of the gate, but the other strikes the wayang true. (Shwarto has +3 AC from partial cover and haste, I believe) (AC19, 7dmg+sap), .
[-]The (dark blue) elf hops down from the railing, readies his bow, and takes a single shot at Waseem. (+2 AC from partial cover) The arrow harmlessly bounces again off the iron bars of the gate.
[-]The elf (green) within the pit is able to climb out to the edge. Speraggo trains his crossbow on him and fires but misses the elf. ()
[-]The elf (cyan) finally emerges from the webbing. Exhausted, he seems to ignore the combat around him and bends down, trying to catch his breath. He turns back towards the webs and utters a curse in elven.

So Paizo servers are repeatedly ate my post attempts throughout Tuesday morning before it ultimately crashed. Luckily I use an offline file to write up first. However, I would be willing to bet that the current random number seeds are now off and the GM rolls may not match the text with this repost.

[-]Selena seizes the opportunity and darts in with a quick slash of her sword. The elf is able quickly parry the blow with his bow, however (AC13 miss). She then has the rat swarm continue to pursue their elf target (5 dmg).
[-]Shakaro, see the elf nearly dead after the rats vicuously bite and scratch everwhere on him. He swings his club but misses as the elf twists and contorts from the rats(AC13 miss). Not wanting to give the elf another chance, he then releases a magical burst of thorns to all around him. The elf quickly slumps over, blood spilling from the thorns and hundreds of bite wounds (4 dmg). The thorns also rip through the rat swarm, killing the majority of th rats. The swarm is effectively dispersed, 22 dmg taken.
[-]Shwarto, readies a spell in the event that the any of the enemies come around to the buildings.().
[-]Speraggo (npc) stands up and loads his crossbow. ().

Shakaro: 1pt from irritating sap.

[-]The elf (orange) nearest Selena elf aims and fires two arrows at Selana.
AoO available from Selena and giant spider.
If he is still standing, the following happens:
A single arrow grazes Selena's arm as she stands firm against the elf.(AC25; 5dmg)
[-]Twikli watches as the elf on the shoreline (red) moves along the rocks back towards the dock. Waseem can also now see the wet elf make his way back up along the outisde of the gangway.
[-]The (peach) elf atop the bridge wall pulls himself all the way over and jumps down to the platform. He then fires a single arrow at Waseem (Waseem gets +2 ac from the partial cover of the iron bars) which hits the catfolk as he is caught off guard (AC26, 7dmg+sap), .
[-]The (dark blue) elf flawlessly scales up to the top of the bridge guard rail but his friend blocks him from coming back down on the othe side.
[-]One of the elves from behind the building steps around the corner to see if he could make it onto the bridge from that side. Shwarto, meanwhile, was waiting for this opportunity and casts create pit underneath the elf. The elf, completely suprised by the sudden pit beneath him, falls roughly into it.(9dmg)
You all hear this horrible screeching sound coming from what had to be the raptor.

heh the purple is dead. I was zoomed in on map and just moved him out of the way. I forgot to zoom out and take him off the map.

[-]Selena tells her rat swarm to engulf the two wild elves with bows ready (purple and yellow). They move onto the elves and bite furiously while the elves scream out in both shock and disgust (2 dmg to each; fort fails). She then pulls out a wand of cure light wounds and heals Speraggo (10 healing). Speraggo's eyes suddenly open and widen as he coughs and nods at Selena.
[-]Shwarto, tries to blend back into the shadows and then casts another acid splash nearest wild elf (orange). The elf notices Shwarto cast the spell and dodges just enough to not get hit in a vital area, though the glob of acid still singes him a bit (3 dmg).
[-]Shakaro, rushes forward and bashes one of the elves covered in rats (purple). The strike to its head send him sprawling to the ground and a few rats fly off into the distance as well (15 dmg; dead).. He then turns to the other elf and bashes his club into its abdomen (20 dmg).. He then quickly heals his own wounds (11 healing).
[-]Waseem's, giant spider tries to bite at the elf (orange) again, and again sinks its fangs into the elf (6 dmg). He then closes the gate to the bridge behind them.
[-]Speraggo (npc) sees the giant spider right near his feet and screams out in horror as he tries to back away, pushing up onto Selena's legs. "Gah, spider!" ().
[-]Stig (npc) continues bleeding profusely.(status: almost certainly dead dead)

Honestly, I can't think of much more terrifying things that a horse sized spider charging from out a web and biting into me .... *shudder*

[-]Selena commands her new rat swarm to move up the bridge and then throws two more darts at wild elf (orange) The first dart pierces into the elf's leg and as he doubles over from the injury the second dart sails high. (4 dmg)
[-]Waseem, casts snowball and strikes the battle raged girallon with the icy blast. The creature has finally taken enough punishment and slumps to the ground unmoving (13 dmg, girallon dying)
Waseem's giant spider rushes through the gates towards the wild elf (orange) that Selena just hit with a dart. It's mandibles drippng with poison sink into the elf. (2 dmg + poisoned)
[-]Shakaro swiftly heals his wounds and survey's the situation for a moment. ( 7 dmg healed).
[-]Shwarto, steps out of the shadows and flings an acid splash at the same wild elf (orange) that stands in the midst of the group. However, his ball of acid misses the elf.()
[-]Speraggo (npc) lays motionless on the bridge (status unknown).
[-]Stig (npc) continues bleeding profusely.(status: almost certainly dead dead)
[-]Shakaro, after catching his breath, charges at one of the longbow elves down the bridge (purple) and smashes his club into her. (19 dmg).

[-]The two elves nearest Shakaro (purple, yellow), each take a big step backwards and fire arrows at the oracle. Of the four arrows that quickly surge towards Shakaro, one slashes across his scales, drawing blood. (AC22, 7 dmg + sap)

I will check the map later but it is possible the icons were inadvertently moved. Google drawings is not the best tool for this type of stuff. The rats should be to the left of the archers and still mostly out of the way of everyone.

I did make 2 different 5' boxes for the swarm because it takes up 2 squares and this lets you shape it how you like (just make sure they are adjacent). But yes, Selena, they are under your control (I believe) and so feel free to move them yourself.

It is also possible there is a someone lurking and messing with the map, I suppose. We could control this with better username controls in the google shared space.

Judging by the hole in his side, the girallon holding a rib bone from Stig, and the blood on the ground, Shakaro 100% believes Stig is dead at this point.

Sorry for the confusion. The numbered hexagons are all the possible points that Selena's rats could have materialized (1d6) on the map. I didn't remove them after she used the pipes. Other than point #2, where the rat swarm is currently located, these numbers hexs don't have any significance.

Stig: 1pt from irritating sap.

Enemies up:
[-]Trumbixu quickly eyes both Shakaro and Stig over. Perhaps it was because Stig hit it last, or perhaps it has taken on the elves' utter hatred for humans, but the rest of you watch as the beast, even though near death, rips a first and then a second claw deep into Stig's chest and ribcage. Stig's body goes limp just as the beast rips a rib bone out in victory.
(Unconscious, dying?: You would need a heal check to know Stig's exact condition, but most of you know death when you see it.)
Trimbuxu then turns to Shakaro and roars in delight at the oracle as it lashes out with its lower claws. While its first claw harmlessly grazes off Shakaro's barkskin, the second draws blood (AC27, 8 dmg). It then follows with a nasty bite into Shakaro (AC25, 9 dmg).
[-]The elf on the other end of the manager's office (purple) steps out from behind the corner and fires two quick shots at Shakaro; both miss high above the oracle.

I wasn't sure exactly where to put the spider, maybe something got lost in the updates. I assume you were intending something like its current position on the map.
[-]Shwarto, seeing the full ambush danger, quickly casts web to protect the group's flank. (Ref DC 17). He moves to the shadows.(Stealth 31)
[-]Selena continues her piping and quickly spots the rat group forming up down the bridge. Not being able to quite see the ambushing elves that Shwarto saw, she turns her attention to the elf commanding the girallon (orange) and throws two darts at it. (Both hit for 6 dmg) Just as the darts hit, Selena's telepathic connection to the rat swarm completes and she knows that the swarm is ready at her command.
I think it makes sense to equate this to maintaining a bardic performance (free action), so you can keep playing without action penalty. You already made the SA(activate pipes) perform check previously. This is a complicated magic item, hah.
[-]Speraggo (npc) loads and shoots his light crossbow at the nearest elf. His confidence, however, is not terribly shaken and he missed again. (ac 8 miss).
[-]Stig (npc) side-steps toward the girallon and throws a front snap kick followed by a (missed) hook and elbow strike.(1 ki used 5/6; 2 hits, 21 dmg). The girallon, hunches over and looks nearly dead.

Shwarto, from the rear, sees another figure (blue circle) peeking around the corner from the bridge.
Jaqu sees another group of elves, with what looks like some kind of small bipedal reptilian creature approach from across the paddock. They look like they are trying to hide their movement (as opposed to rushing across)
Finally, from Twikli's vantage, he sees the riverboat engaged with hidden enemies firing arrows upon it from the shoreline trees and communicates his concern back to Shwarto.

[-]The current quickly carries the elf (red) that Stig threw into the water. Twikli can see him reach the rocky shore under the bridge and pull himself into the shallows. [-]While Jaqu distracts the beast, Waseem, hurls a magical snowball at the girallon which it barely seems to notice over the violence from Jaqu. (8 dmg, passed save)
[-]Shwarto, moves back and tries to hide in the shadows of the gate while casting acid splash. However, the spell misses the magical ape while it twists and tries to handle Jaqu.(touch ac8 misses).

[-]Selena begins playing her magical pipes, hoping to draw in any nearby rats to aid in the fight. Selena begins to feel the telepathic connection of a swarm mind forming down further on the bridge (1 swarm called, begins forming at position labeled #2 on map. I am not really sure I understand the description. There will be a 3 round delay but is that on forming or getting to a "designate spot" you are calling them to. Weird. I am going to say it takes them only 2 rounds to form and then they can start moving at your command - saving the 3rd for helping with movement.).
[-]Stig (npc) maintains his tight hold on the elf, picks him up and attempts to move to the birdge's edge and throw the elf over. Realizing his peril, the elf tries ones last desparate attempt to break free but cannot. You hear his screams followed by a splash.(12 NL from fall)
[-]Speraggo (npc) loads and shoots his light crossbow at the girallon but again misses the creature, perhaps being a little too catious with his aim in not hitting the party. (ac14 miss).

Jaqu and Stig also both take 1 extra point of damage from the irritating sap of the thistle arrows the elves are using. This only lasts 1 round after being hit.

Girallons are among the jungle's most dangerous predators. They are aggressive, carnivorous, highly territorial, and incredibly strong. Worse, their four muscular arms are capable of inflicting incredible damage on anything that falls into their clutches.
They are magical beasts but are still common enough in the jungle environment.
These wild elves seemed to have trained or befriended this particular one.

You've heard stories of these things nearly tearing a person in two with its claws and still being able to bite before the victim even knew what happened.
Essentially, the creature biggest strength is in its 4 claws + rend + bite in a single round.
