Kendra addresses Professor Rokannon, "I'm not sure what to expect, according to the MAyor they're going to take the time to discusss possible solutions to all the madness thats been going on lately. But I don't know what those solutions might be, or if they really have any to offer at all." I notice the game tends to stall if I don't post frequently. If you all rather I be more direct with pushing the story along just let me know, otherwise I tend to let the players control the flow of the game.
Stealth: 4d20 ⇒ (19, 18, 6, 3) = 46 The group gets to work gathering up the radishes. Opposed: 5d20 ⇒ (15, 20, 3, 9, 20) = 67 Unfortunately neither Gritt nor Krezlak are able to keep particularly quiet throughout the task, and soon shouts can be heard in the distance coming from the cottages. I prefer to use Roll20 system for combat maps so I invite you all to join the campaign Here There Be Dragons Campaign
You're able to get decently far inland today, not stopped by any wild animals and not too much vegetation obstructing your path. After a good four hours travel you can spot a small island off in the distance through a break in the trees, crashed up against its rocks is another ship. About this time the another rainstorm begins to roll in on the horizon. Here is a map of what you've explored thus far
Oh by the way, who took watch tonight? Doom: 1d100 ⇒ 99 That night, the waves crashing on the shores of Smuggler’s Shiv become infused with an eerie greenish radiance, almost as if the surf were
Nevertheless you all awake in the morning well rested, but perhaps a little unnerved by the nights events.
Randomocity: 4d100 ⇒ (49, 38, 2, 29) = 118 Randomocity: 1d100 ⇒ 48 Randomocity: 4d100 ⇒ (51, 5, 41, 28) = 125 Randomocity: 1d100 ⇒ 76 Randomocity: 4d100 ⇒ (39, 52, 78, 63) = 232 Randomocity: 1d100 ⇒ 42 Around about three hours into your trek to the radish patch, you come across a small campfire being attended to be a lone scaleless. He doesn't seem to notice you and sits about 50 yards away in a clearing of the forest.
Most of the others take the berries, excepting Aerys and Ishirou who opt for the meat. "How can you eat these lizards?" says Sasha. Ishirou grunts as he bites off one of the little lizards heads, "I use my teeth." Sasha seems slightly taken aback, " No, I mean, they're adorable! I'd very much like to have one for a pet if I could." Aerys relays that she went out to get firewood a little earlier with Ishirou, they didn't see much but they did see a large cat that they were lucky to avoid. The rest were content to stay at camp, she seems slightly annoyed by this.
As you head back the sound of the jungle echo around you; frogs croaking merrily at the afternoons rain, a few nocturnal birds call out, and the falling of rain drops falling from high leaves. Amongst the din however, you swear you can hear a pair of large wings beating the wind. The party makes it back to camp a little over an hour after sundown. Luckily no denizens of the dark take an interest in them. Making it back to camp you find a fire has already been started by Ishirou, the others huddled around it. -Posted with Wayfinder
You're at the treeline so they're out past the cliffs, which is around 150 feet away, so we'll say that they're 180 feet away and around 40 feet above you. The four you can see in air seem to be doing odd series of loops, dives, and squawking. It would be quite a feat to be able to tell the amount of flying lizards roosting on the cliff face, you only know they are there in great quantity. -Posted with Wayfinder
DOOM: 4d20 ⇒ (10, 12, 20, 18) = 60 DOOM: 4d20 - 10 ⇒ (4, 5, 14, 4) - 10 = 17 The party arrives at a break in the treeline that leads to a cliffside overlooking the ocean. In the air you can see four more of the odd flying lizards that attacked you not long ago. However judging from the noise coming from below the cliff you can guess there is a startling amount of them that must have made the cliff face their homes. Off in the distance you can see the sun has begun it's descent into the oceans horizon. -Posted with Wayfinder
Just wanted to fill out the leadership roles so everyone can see them so they know what they want to work towards. Chief: Charisma
It is a sad day indeed for the inhabitants of the Sootscale Warrens. The lair was entirely empty except for its central room, here the few remaing Kobolds of Clan Sootscale gathered around the remains of their dead chieftan. "Ack, is bad luck to be without Chief, and scaleless come and take our things, kill Chief, intend to run off with beautiful Kobold women to replace nasty hairy things they call female." said Xanriaxz before continuing "Needs new Chief to avenge tribe Sootscale, I am new Chief! I call myself, Chief Sootscale!!" Chief Sootscale finished. But Morkmet interjected "Bah, Chief Sootscale not fit to lead, I am new Chief Sootscale" declared Chief Sootscale. Soon the hall was awash in arguing as Chief Sootscale called Chief Sootscale a coward for not fighting the scaleless, while Chief Sootscale stabbed Chief Sootscale with a nasty wicked nail. Soon the wisest amongst them all, Chief Sootscale; stepped fowards and said "Enough talk, scaleless took all furry beasties when they left, we has no foods. Scaleless has foods, Chief Sootscale told me yesterday, they grow big radishes. We take radishes and eats them, then we decide who is Chief Sootscale." Chief Sootscale looked quite pleased with himself, before Chief Sootscale stabbed him from behind with a trident. "Chief Sootscale agrees! We needs the bravest of kobolds to volunteer to takes delicious radishes from the scaleless. Then whens they returns, we talk about who is to be Chief. Who volunteers!?"
Continuing along their trek the raid is unrelenting; after a great deal of distance has passed, the party hears screaching coming from nearby trees before two odd looks reptiles swoop down from them to attack the party. Combat has begun. Also both creatures as of this post are 20 feet off the ground.
Hello guys, I play another game with Vivian and when she posted her Crypt of the Everflame game I saw you all lost your DM. Wanted to stop by and let you know that if you wanted I do not mind picking up the game for you all. We could either continue with where you are now, or if you prefer we can re-open a recruitment thread for it and keep everyone who wants to continue but with a fresh start. Just a thought, let me know how you all feel about it.
The party doesn't make it far into the treeline directly west of them before the sudden onset of a rainstorm. Soon after they draw the attention of a snake which lunges out at Vantas leading from the front, who is unable to see the creature in time due to the driving rain. Luckily, the snake's strike while true, is deflected by Vantas' armor. Combat has begun
Craft: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (11) + 20 = 31 It is late at night before Vantas' tasks have been completed. Most everyone looks exhausted from the days work excepting Ishirou. As it took so long to complete only one night watch need be taken, which Aerys offers to do. DMs Amusement: 9d100 ⇒ (77, 51, 5, 99, 91, 91, 71, 78, 76) = 639 DMs Amusement: 9d20 ⇒ (12, 15, 8, 5, 11, 5, 17, 10, 7) = 90
The Sootscales came to the mines of the Stolen Lands after escaping from the slavery of the Ivoryscale Kobolds, which are cruel kobolds who live to the East and who enslaved their darker-skinned brethern. The history of Sootscales leaders is a glorious one; Chief Sootscale succeeded Chief Sootscale who succeeded Chief Sootscale. But it was not to last. Hey all, had an idea for a redux of the Kingmaker AP played out from the perspective of the Sootscale Kobold tribe immediately following the deaths of Chief Sootscale and Tartuk at the hands of the "PCs" The kobolds home is left devastated and leaderless, but those who remain desire their revenge against the scaleless who encroach on their territory. So this will be a Kingmaker AP played out with kobolds and possibly some other beastie allies if you can come up with a good enough reason for them to join then on their quest to claim the stolen lands for their own. Some things will be very similar to the standard AP, while some other things might not be. Like actively sabotaging the scaleless ones, or defending your home from their attempts to end your tribe once and for all. Creation Rules:
Deadline will be Sunday.
Devastation Bob wrote: Will the kobolds wipe out an adventuring party and wind up with a tattered copy of the charter to cleanse the contested lands of unrepentant banditry? Because that would be awesomlarious. I can think of a number of scenarios where the glorious Sootscale tribe steps on a poor adventuring party trying to accomplish something in the River Kingdoms. In the mentioned scenario I could easily see that happening. Then the kobolds deciding that if they killed the scaleless who that the other scaleless are afraid of, then obviously they'd all leave out of fear of the strength of Clan Sootscale. Only to find much to their chagrin, humans arriving in droves after the defeat of said bandits.
