FLuffball continues focusing on the fight as well, working on the immediate problem- no light. He fishes a Sunrod out of his backpack and lights it, hoping to light the area a little better.

He also continues his performance, as Wonderboy enters.

I don't think I need to roll a check there, since I have a +15 to Knowledge Local, so I auto- success

I was thinking the bat, since that had been what I was thinking beforehand- might not be the best move, but it's still a move

Fluffball quickly sees the humanoids firing before the darkness bomb, and quickly searches his memory for what the could be.

knowledge Local: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (13) + 15 = 28

He then begins to talk to Alan, as the man goes to fight them.

"Tell 'em bring their guns out
Send my city up in flames
And yea though I walk through the valley of the death
But my hope still remains
Whether dead or alive, this is do or die
"

Assuming I correctly identified the creature, that's the Naturalist Bardic Performance he's starting (+1 to AC, attack rolls, and saves against spell- like abilities they may have).

Fluffball understood how the Watch worked, and the necessity of asking the gang to surrender. However, his time on the streets taught him that no matter how scary, the gangs weren't going to surrender. Not in the least. So he grabs his Tanglefoot Bag and readies to throw it the second one of the members darts away.

RD 1: Fluffball takes his bag of marbles and spreads out the marbles along the floor near the gift table- just in case, well behind Alan and Mulancy, of course.

"Dearest Alan," he begins,

"Not really sure how to feel about it.
Something in the way you move
Will probably send you flying all over the floor
I want you to stay
"

Rd 2: He'll hand a Smokestick to Milo

"If they come a little bit closer, baby"
"And that ain't no joke
You could disappear in smoke

"

I have to apologize- one of my close family friends had a stroke on Tuesday, and I've kind of struggled to keep up here (as well as other campaigns) as a result. She's about as fine as one can expect after a stroke, and they got her home yesterday, so I should be fine from here on out- but if ya'll feel the need to boot me anyways, that's fair. I should, however, be fine from here on out. There's been a lot of activity in this group, so I'm going to read through it now and get a post up soon.

Fluff will be a better organizer once I start figuring how to communicate via song lyrics. Definetly an adjustment period.

Even a generic map is still a helpful map!

Can I just point out that between Fluff and Alan, we got a 30 and a 29 on Perform Sing. This 16 year old got the best band ever!

Fluffball worries about having the time to spread the caltrops after they arrive.

Cause I need more time
Just a few more months and we'll be fine
So say what's on your mind
'Cause I can't figure out once they're inside

He then proposes using building a trap near the gift table.

Do you wanna build a trap?
Come on lets go and play

He holds up his Tanglefoot Bag as a suggestion.

Ironically, I was already thinking that- but that post took me forever to write, and I missed that discussion! Apologies, but yes, we should definetly "pose" as vocalists!

On a side note, my idea to use only song lyrics to write what Fluff speaks may be much, much harder than I previously thought.

Fluffball runs through his list of things he knows about the Rough and Tumble Gang. He'll grab a few Sunrod's, in case that's needed, and ready a Tanglefoot Bag nearest just on top of his backpack, for when one of the members come.

He first warns his teammates about Wheeler:

Wheeler had a heart like a nine-pound hammer
Think he even did a little time in the slammer
Rumor says he's got a real bad temper
Stay away from him!

He'll then take a quick look around the building, looking for any obvious entry points.

Knowledge Geography: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27 Where's the quickest path from the party to water? He'd like to spread some caltrops around there, and ask that it be guarded off, discreetly.
knowledge Local: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (13) + 15 = 28Anything else about the Rough and Tumble Gang members?
Knowledge Nobility: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30 What does the Belladame family do, in terms of finances and the like, connections to the Rough and Tumble gang

Anything learned will be shared with the group, of course

Fluffball asks to be part of the entertainment. He is an expert after all, and it will give him the cover he needs to help keep watch. He approaches the musicians.

Ain't got no trouble in my life,
No foolish dream to make me cry.
I'm never frightened I'm never worried,
I know, I know I'll always get by.
I got the music
Pretty music
I got the music

16 Going on Seventeen

15 (Changed to 16)

As the night continues, he'll ask the musicians what they know about the Belladame family, and their connections.

What's their story?
What's going on in their mind?
What's the story
That they're leaving behind?

@Fluffball just so you know you were selected because I imagined a alleycat caterwauling their vocal performance in an alleyway to make everyone better. I laughed my a$$ off at the thought. Then there was the thought when Hoch gets her Dog!

Then you've got the basic idea I was going for, though he's much more of a housecat than an alleycat. He knows everyone (because let's be honest- you let a cat outside, it goes next door to beg the neighbors for food); he knows everything (because all cats know everything. If you don't believe me, go ask a cat); can't fight a lick (he's a fraidy cat); and is constantly singing to announce his presence (because that's exactly what my cat does the second I get home, till the second I leave). It's perfect!

As for when Hoch gains Tucker- well, all creatures must have a nemesis, right haha?

How much does a Backpack/Banner Rig cost?

A common backpack is a whopping 2gp, though a Masterwork backpack increases to 50gp. Nothing on a Banner Rig, but it wouldn't be much more, I'd imagine.

I don't think you'll need to worry about the face parts of the investigation- Fluff's got a 13 to Diplomacy, 19 to Gather information, and insane Knowledge checks- but Perception and Sense Motive will be really helpful.

As bonus feats, Stealth Synergy and Tribe Mentality look like they could be really useful, as well. I'm not certain how Bonded Mind works with my curse- the feat either allows me to bypass my curse with certain allies, or my curse completely negates the feat. Would be interesting.

That being said, my 5th lvl feat is spoken for- couldn't quite fit in all of the background feats I wanted at character creation (and yes, I'm horrible at feat selection and always want more). 7th level, anyone?

Fluffball always wants Glorious Presence. Always. He's got a few spells, Bardic Perfomance, and some Bombs he doesn't know what to do with- but that's about it. He's much more of a buffer in- combat; he's really not planning on doing any damage himself, unless something horrible happens.

I think I can get behind that... I mean, if you can 'Hear the People Sing', and ignore the 'Empty Chairs at Empty Tables'....

This- this is a man after my own heart. This is going to work out great haha!

I've seen Les Mis live twice, it's a blast! Enjoy it.

Hello! Can't wait to start, this is going to be great!

Fluffball is also open- he's got Twinklefoot and Officer as possible tracks- if you don't mind a singing Officer, that is! I do think we already have a Twinklefoot (Milo) and a SWAT (Sven), so maybe Fluffball and Alan can split the Officer track, perhaps?
