Ummm what are u talking about? No where did I say "I want this game to turn out..." a specific way... Are u making stuff up? Try not to get offended when people speak their minds... It's just not civilized. This thread is called PvP that is what we are ALL talking about. I will speak my mind if u don't like it then don't read it simple as that I will not be bullied by your comments so stop trying. ![]()
![]() If u don't want a PvP environment this is not the game for you sorry I didn't make it so don't blame me... @Draelyn - Nowhere did i say "pvp is better than pve" no where do I say "PVP is a meaninful interaction" I like how you make stuff up though... @ MicMan - Pvp is like real life read the previous posts someone mentiones how it is and I agree with them they specifically mention Chess as a good example... If you apply for a job it is person versus person... Not you trying to get a job and a computer AI program applying for the same job... If you can't see that nothing we say here will help /shrug. Person versus Person as mentioned above by someone else is everywhere that is why there is a world economy/nations/states/sports teams/political offices... on and on not listing everything in the world here just google it. So back to the topic this game is PvP complaining about a circle being round won't change the fact of what it is. ![]()
![]() Evil is so not descriptive...
Is killing bad?... You say YES Tiger kills you to feed her young... Good for the Tiger but Evil to you...
In game Guild kills intruders = same problem (sure you can argue that they can be killed b/c they attked you first but killing is killing just b/c it is justified doesn't NOT make the act itself Good). Guilds saying no killing but want to expand their territory = you will have to kill soo... being killed =Evil/Killing=Good. Only pointing out that people who say "I will RP or Align Good" they will also kill(Evil Act) when it comes down to you respawning or the other guy... Societies/Guilds/Nations in and out of game will rationalize they are doing Good by killing the other guy... My reason to mention this is b/c it will undoubtedly be hard for GW to draw the line in the sand and set up a system that will be fair so please be patient with them ;p ![]()
![]() So was the kid in that movie Kick**s (--> movies name don't ban me) a Paladin? b/c no matter what the situation he wasn't going to let someone get beat down in front of him on his watch? In game he could be defending an assassin from an assassin so I think it will be hard to come up with a good system. Casting detect evil works a little but what if both are nuetral ? both are evil? both are good? Then it boils down to thier actions = ack i gave myself a migraine just now overload! ![]()
![]() Good news! Thanks -Lisa for responding... I got at least (2) $20 add ons already. As I read the lore/etc. I am getting more and more excited. I would totally add additional extras once you all figure out what your going to do. I only heard about this randomly with 2 days left on kickstarter so didn't have more money to drop in ;) PS- GW Rocks and -Ed is the man! ![]()

Hey Toxycycline I read an article recently where a study was done on motion sickness tied to computer monitors and one solution was to change from 60refreshrate to 75refreshrate (obviously not all monitors allow you to do this and it could just be upper end ones) But thought it might help if u ever wanted to play something new/old ;) @ Randomwalker - OMG too funny (and true) ![]()
![]() Trikk wrote: A lot of threads are popping up about suggestions regarding specifics of the game, but I think that requires too many assumptions Lol did u just assume that... Crowdforging is revolutionary and backers want to be haard I say use the shotgun affect and throw everything creative that you can think of then let GW pull from that. Obviously I've not seen anyone ask for holographic 3D engines for a holodeck ;p Asking people for basic features is what we are doing... Think about this basic features for 2014-2015 are what we come up with right now... To say these mentioned bells and whistles are not basic is to be how do you say "2,000 and late" lol Sry i hate that song too but it fits. -The Devil's Advocate

![]() Here is the deal... PvP is just like in real life... PVE is less like real life... In open world PvP it is easy to avoid (in Q'ing for battlegrounds it is not)... someone mentioned breaking line of sight... Think about all the ways you can avoid it (if thats your fancy)... I cast root and walk away (see ya later), I shoot you in the leg your snared (see ya later), I'm a warrior who can cripple/shoutfear/etc. (see ya later)... We can go on and on... at the end of the Day pvp 24/7 everywhere is what we put money into so take a deep breathe and evolve your gameplay tactics its a challenge can you overcome it ;) ![]()
![]() I hope they entertain the idea of making Evil playable without greifing... Like for player run towns you can choose to have slave labor (no cost but obviously Evil so maybe you could not host any good shrines) or pay a percentage of profits/taxes for labor (in which case would be good and thus no hosting evil shrines). *shrugs so many posibilites just don't want to be surrounded by carebears telling each other they smell like roses ---> Not playing an evil character but love all the colors of the rainbow ya dig? ![]()

![]() I miss the West Commons Tunnel for trading lol... In EQII there were hundreds of OTHERz guild/player instances that I never knew existed nor did I see. I'm currently playing (DayZ) that is not instanced it is smaller im sure but it flows seemlessly their devs handled it by only spawning mobs/minions/creatures when players are within a certain range. Not saying this is a fix all but it is a step in the right direction... I don't mind a 5 minute load time if it means no instances ;p But I understand we have to work with what we got. Gluck making your mark GW! -My2Cents

![]() I agree with the OP... That being said I think while developing these things the longevity of the game should be specifically addressed... I'm not one to speak ill of something without adding how to fix it so... My idea would be to put the TRAVEL PATHS very far apart that way it would be meaningful to walk/explore as you go but usefull for when your trying to cross the country... Now if your talking player controlled mounts you could easily make them move at a rate (obviously more than a run) slower than the predetermined TRAVEL PATHS. TRAVEL PATHS defined as: I pay to ride a wagon/monster/bus/etc. get on the bus at point A and sit back and enjoy the ride/scenery until I get to point B. Another side not for the player controled mounts (if that will be an option) I think it would speak volumes to include this as well as every other possible aspect by taking into account REALISM... How many games out there have u feed a mount? (full belly means they move faster) Put horseshoes on a mount?(maybe you go X% faster if u have horsehoes)... If your not on a road you have a <1% chance for your horse to break a leg or lose a horseshoe... This would ultimately require more investment on the part of the player and increase the games longeveity. Oh and one more thing... Maybe let us customize our mounts like wearing a black harness, or a gold one, like skins in so many other games. Heck let us do this with pets too so that everyone is not running around with the same thing... Maybe let me put an eyepatch on my pet dog/cat/cow/etc. -My 2 Cents :)
