Hey folks, back from a brief hiatus. It's great to see so many of you who like the ideas of the Knights of the Crusader Road! I'd like to personally welcome Othniel Edden, Aleron, Calibos, Bookkeeper, Kosten07, Durgadin, Imbicatus and AtomX! Welcome aboard and I look forward to hearing of your great exploits keeping the Crusader Road safe and free.

HolmesandWatson, even if you can't stay in the Kickstarter, you can still play when the game goes public. I certainly hope you will check out Pathfinder Online at least once and when you do, you're welcome in the Knights.

Hroderich Gottfrei and Erian El'ranelen, the Knights anticipate with pleasure an alliance with the Keepers of the Circle and with all right-thinking organizations on the Crusader Road.

A few of you have voiced a concern about the availability of play time. I'd like to remind you all that it is -play- time. Do it when you can and when you want to and only when it is fun. If playing a game ever feels like an obligation, you really should stop immediately and go get some fresh air and sunshine! Fun is what it's all about!

Imbicatus, in regards to being unable to use voice chat, I've been there. I've never been a big fan of voice chat anyway; it cuts into my immersion in the game. I use my headset when I'm in a big group, but I usually just keep the sound off when I am playing solo. So no worries.

As my fellow Warden Hroderich Gottfrei noted above, the Keepers of the Circle see great benefit in maintaining official relations with The Knights of the Crusader Road. For Tarondor, or any duly appointed representative, please feel free to visit with us. We are eager to discuss our mutual goals of community-building and peacekeeping. The Circle has much to offer in the way of trade goods, information, and shared enforcement of common rule.

Erian El'ranelen, Warden of Gold

I can't get that link to work, Erian.

Just wanted to clarify quick, I wasn't joining up sorry to say! Just saying looking forward to working alongside you guys as a member of another good aligned organization. I'm actually a member of the Empyrean guild.

Goblin Squad Member

Hey Guys,

I am getting all the daily deals and I have a spare Shieldmate, (so you get all the daily deals to) I would like to offer to someone in this guild, reply if interested. :)

Daniel.

Goblin Squad Member

@Tarondor, I'm going for NG so I can definitely join now. :-)

Scarab Sages Goblin Squad Member

I also have all the daily deals and an unused Shieldmate for the Knights. Let me know if you want it.

Goblinworks Executive Founder

I must have missed that one. Where is it?

Goblin Squad Member

I would very much like in on this concept!

Goblin Squad Member

I would be very interested in joining The Knights when Pathfinder goes live. Please count me in!

Goblin Squad Member

Nice let me know if any of you guys would like a Shieldmate with all the Daily Deals. :-)

Daniel.

Goblin Squad Member

And MightyKwynn, has taken me up on it, Welcome Shield Mate! :-D

Daniel.

Goblin Squad Member

Welcome to Azoradan to! :-D

Daniel.

Goblin Squad Member

I would like to add my arcane skills to your cause, Tarondor.

Depending on naming conventions, my character's name is Jertulth B'naa, NG Wizard.

Goblin Squad Member

so .. game on !!!!!!

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

I also have all the dailys and an open shieldmate for a guildie that needs them.

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

Tarondor,

Can we get a guild website up soon?

The sooner we can start organizing within and with our allied guilds would mean a cleaner start!

Howdy.

I'm not a PvP fan and I don't know if I'll stick past my free month, but I like the concept of your guild. I plan on playing either an elven ranger or dwarven paladin, but either way the keeping of the roads is a good idea.

I 'd like to sign up for the Knights.

Thanks!

Sorry Dwarves can't be Paladins they're too short!

No true neutral ? Even if they behave?

It is unfortunate there is no mounted combat.

Welcome to the Knights of the Crusader Road, MightyKwynn, Azoradan and Acobar! We're pleased to have you.

Kosten07 - I too would love to have a website! Any volunteers or web designers out there? I've reserved the URL, but I'm no web guy.

Carbunkle Squirrelbane - True Neutral is not a desired alignment for those who risk their lives in the service of others. You have to be willing to take a stand on the moral issues of the game!

Eta D'Lore - I'm picturing a paladin's mount with a sign that says "You must be -THIS- tall to ride!"

Spoken like a true Paladin.

So how military are we talking? Will there be ranks and a chain of command? Would a Chaotic Good character be able to fit in without ruffling too many feathers?

From a mechanics point of view, I don't think you can a join an organization that has an alingment two steps away from your own. IE a LG group can have LG, LN, and NG members, but not CG or TN because they are more than two steps away.

If it is true, then I don't know if CG will be able to join either.

That is certainly how it works with clerics and dieties.

If you are correct, the illustrious Knights might need to modify there entry requirements and decline applications from CG.

EDIT: I see the CG problem has already been discussed at the start of the thread.

My question about exactly how military the organisation is still stands :D

Hmmm...this sounds interesting. I like the idea of a Knighthood. If you have any room for a ranger I would gladly join. However I don't know if I will be LG, all I know is I will be something Good.

Goblin Squad Member

I would like to pledge my sword to your cause. I will be playing a paladin since I dont believe they will have cavaliers in the game at this time. I have yet to finalize a name but will probably Vidarin (surename unknown).

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

IF no one else can do the web stuff I will give it a go. Understand I am a backyard website guy. I have about a year of college in HTML and Java working in JGRASP. The only good thing is my sister-in-law is a professional web designer (but she is very busy) and can probably enlist her help on some of it.

But with me it will be a slow process for awhile as I am helping my brother start a business.

My initial thoughts are to play a dwarven fighter/cleric of Torag multiclass sort - not quite sure of the game mechanics on this - who also spends a lot of time at the forge to be a master smith. Dwarves initial race in game I hope?

Goblin Squad Member

And hmmm, why am I not listed as Goblin Squad..joined KS at Buddy level.

Goblin Squad Member

I prefer to remain unaffiliated at this time. However, I like the sound of your Order and fully expect to work in cooperation with your knights in the future. I look forward to it.

Goblin Squad Member

@MightyKwynn, you won't get the Goblin Squad Member tag until they've fully processed the Kickstarter payments and been able to associate your Kickstarter account to your Paizo forum account. Give 'em a little time.

Goblin Squad Member

This sounds like just the place my human/dwarf knight will like to be apart of, if you will have me

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

Apologies to my fellow knights but I must withdraw my application here.

I have several RL friends wrangling me over to another guild. I have no doubt though that we will still be allies when its time to battle evil!

Goblinworks Executive Founder

Welcome Drewber and Stonebreaker, and congratulations on passing the Knights' rigorous entry process. :-)

Kosten07 - Sorry to hear you're going. I hope you have a lot of fun wherever you end up!

Carbunkle Squirrelbane - There are two answers to your question: The in-game answer and the real-life answer. In-game, the Knights of the Crusader Road are a vigorous and rigorous military organization, similar to the Knights Templar. In real life, well, not so much. This is not a place for those expecting lock-step organization or lots of rules. We're all here to have fun. And kick butt. In that order.

Gabrius - If you'd like to make us even a rudimentary website, I would welcome the effort. It can always be upgraded as time goes on. As for the rapidity of its development, well, it does appear we have a bit of time on our hands before such a site becomes necessary, so I'd think if you can get it going within a few months, that would be just fine! Thanks for even thinking about it.

MightyKwynn - I don't think they could call it Pathfinder without dwarves in it! Yeah, man. There'll be dwarves!

Vancent - If you change your mind and would like to join up (and think you can pass our rigorous entry process), come on back!

Thank you Tarondor! (this is Drewber btw, I'm using my alias haha). Hope you don't mind my chaotic good half-elf ranger/arcane archer

I would like to invite Knights of the Crusader Road to join with us in creating and signing The Treaty of Rovagug.

I'm interested in the concept, but leery of getting bogged down in legalistic niceties instead of simply bashing evil in the face. I've asked for some specifics on that thread. I encourage all of the Knights of the Crusader Road to read that thread and tell us what you think about it.

I certainly don't mind, Drewber!

I'd like to be able to include CG characters in the Knights - they fit into my own personal concept of what the Knights are. But if Goblinworks says no, then that's the way it shall be.

I agree. I think this is a noble cause, and I for one am willing to join the fight agains any griefer. This is the purpose of the knighthood after all. But I don't want to get bogged down with legalties or give too much of our own organizational details away to a group who contains elements that are our enemies.

Hey! It's the Captain-General's birthday!

Drinks are on Diox and Bookkeeper!

I have created a simple forum board so we have a place we can put down ideas, converse, and share stories. I have never made one before so it is very basic but gets the job done. Please stop by and check it out at:http://kotcr.proboards.com

What What?? Harrumph! Well, I suppose I shall take solace in that I will not be completely bankrupted by such volunteering - I hear the exceptionally aged have difficulty in drinking copious amounts of alcohol.

Neat site, Fennris!

I've reserved the URL www.knightsofthecrusaderroad.com, and Gabrius was looking at putting up a site there. I have no idea how far he got. Could you and he coordinate on getting something up at that URL? Thanks!

Goblin Squad Member

Thank you Tarondor, I just made that real fast so we all would have some place we could discuss things untill the official site was up and running. Im currently deployed, but will try to help the best I can

Any news guys? :-)

I seem to have missed this thread when you first created it.

Greetings from the Pax Mercatorum, I hope we can find a way to do business with eachother.
