It was a great read before the Godsrain novel!
Most of the texts I had already read on the blogs, but it had been a long time for some. There was also a couple changes to bring it up to date with the remaster and de-OGLification, like calling what was known as "the Material Plane" as "the Universe"... which funnily made it sound more natural in the context it was in. xD )
This was a great reminder of why I love these iconics so much.
There's not a lot of new text, but what is there does a LOT of work to recontextualize and push the original "Prophecies" to new heights.
I'm now reading a lot more into them. :O
... And I wonder if we will learn more about the writer than we do here...
But yeah, it was a great read before the Godsrain novel, and really enriched the reading of the novel.
I finally played Level 20!!
It was fun.
With only 2 players it's funny because you basically always play "two turns" around the "fighter" xD
(The "first player" change every round, so it's always: 1 -> 2 -> F -> 2 -> 1 -> F -> 1 -> etc.)
It had a little bit of "luck", but at least at 2 players, there's still enough strategy that a more strategic player will more often win.
The heavy reliance on "depletable" resources makes the game have a virtual hard limit too, so the games don't take too long...
I fully expect games at more players can get chaotic, but the fact that there's not more resources would probably not make the games too much longer. xD
This adventure, I'll call it "The Blooming Catastrophe"
When we first arrived, the locals were pretty normal folks. But they didn't like Buttercup, the leshy familiar of another pathfinder in this mission. It made her sad, and I needed to cheer her up. She only wanted to Butter them cup! We quickly found why though.
This mission was very challenging, and everyone of the 6 pathfinders assigned were useful. I hope I get to adventure again with them.
When we found the source of the problems, I quickly saw that they were weird and disturbing, but not "bad BAD" per se.As a team, we all decided on the same path we wanted to take without even talking about it, even if we didn't all do the same things, but I'm still happy about that.
We had lot of battles, lot of very important discussions, and made some allies for the pathfinders. All while learning that we need to always clean up well behind us on missions, because of the mistakes of our predecessors.
If you want to read more, I plan on publishing my full chronicles soon! (filthy snoop!)

This is an in character review. This is, to this date, my favorite PFS scenario (I played 3 scenario and 4 quests). The group I played with were all awesome, but it was this scenario that enabled all the nice interaction we had. Also, a perfect mix of "slightly disturbing" and "amusing" situations. The speech of the last NPC we meet is... WONDERFULLY written.
Challenging fights, interesting NPCs to interact with, and lot of different ways we could have gone. Masterfully written.
The tale of the great Gorget of Grehunde!
This was Kikji’s my first assignment as a real Pathfinder agent!
The higher ups were clearly not very confident in my capabilities, because all the other agents in my team were much more agedexpepep experienced!
I’ll be honest, they were right.
As it was my first field mission, I realized that all my experience reading books and editing reports was... not very useful here. This was sadly a very short mission, but preparations were easy, and I learned a lot on what I could expect from field missions. I’ll need to brooden broaden my knowledges even more, and get better in real fights. I was lucky I had other agents to protect me, but it won’t always be true!

This is an in character review. I liked it when I played it, even if my character was not adapted to it, and didn’t get to contribute. Was an interesting introduction to quests, and forged my expectations going into the other quests I played.
I realized after playing others and reading the actual quest, that the lack of role playing opportunities that I experienced was mainly a result of the people I played with, my inexperience with PFS, and my inexperience playing such a short quest.
