Eidi barely manages to register everything that is happening in the chaos of combat, his images saving him from becoming dragon grub, at least for now.

Will+reincarnated+holy aura+prayer+heroes' feast DC 34: 1d20 + 21 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 21 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 4 = 46
Brazzemal looks impressive, but after witnessing the legions of Kyuss, with their overworms and wormcallers and having been reborn, there is only a limited reaction of impression you can take from a dragon like this "Tsk!"

Before he can react, the half-elf is taken in between Mortimer and the fiery dragon. He clenches his teeth as he has no hope to escape the flames, but is surprised as Ascaria's protections absorb most of the burns.

"These ones are pretty hungry. Sorry to leave you here Mortimer" not wanting to remain in the front of the battle for more time, Eidi starts casting a spell.
Concentration DC 21: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (4) + 18 = 22
A bit pressed, he rises new defenses against fire with a communal resist energy touching himself, then Mortimer, then profiting haste speed to also reach Ascaria.
resist fire 30 for 50 min (Mortimer, Eidi and Ascaria)

The spell carries some healing grace, closing some scratches on Mortimer.
+3 hp

The movement gives a chance for the blue blue to attack, but that seems a better prospect than standing in the front.

"An insanity spell... That dragon is dangerously wily in addition to huge..." Eidi tenses seeing the danger posed by the red. With all the dragons too far for most of his magics, the elder takes from his pouch a rhubarb leaf and an adder's stomach, as well as a small dart he uses to point to the red. A small blob of acid emerges from the dart flying long long over the red.

Apparently there is a location relevant to those prophecies that she sorted out to be here: The Spire of Long Shadows. She requested my support and we finally located the place in the middle of the jungle."

He then relaxes leaning back in his sit and casually sipping a spoon of soup "The place is nerve breaking but it was calm though, no trace of any darkness and Celeste thinks it is better to not try access the Spire itself for it could open the way for whatever is inside"

Nasty" explains Eidi, then realizing Ascaria does not see the whole picture "Oh, there is a huge giant city clinging on the cliff. There are three pinnacles to the west, two of them seem inhabited and connect to the main city with bridges. The streets seem a chaos, the place has been on fight for a while"

Arriving to the citadel, the half-elf points to the top of the tower "We probably are better landing on there to figure better out what is going on. We can then explore invisibly the citadel. My only fear is appearing unannounced might not be seen as very friendly"

Bald male Half-Elf elder

"I think for now we are trying to figure out what is happening. So, yes, let's try this invisibility trick" seeing Ascaria does not use invisibility purge yet, Eidi casts sphere of invisibility and leads the party into the town to see what the giants are up to and what's the siege about.

Bald male Half-Elf elder

"This is worrisome, a couple of those dragons I know and their presence can only mean doom" Eidi looks concerned and points at one notorious ancient red dragon perched on a far tower, watching the battle across the city "That is Brazzemal the Burning. Hundreds of years ago, his fury brought an age of fire down upon several southern nations, and countless adventurers perished in an attempt to locate the dragon’s lair in the inhospitable Hellfurnaces. Eventually, the dragon allied with the giant armies of King Snurre and played a part in the razing of Sterich. He hasn’t been heard from in nearly two decades"

Then he points to a building, to some invisible dragon "And that is Necrozyte. This one is a fiendish old green dragon that hails from the Nine Hells, where she served as a guardian over one of Tiamat’s hoards nonetheless. When a particularly sly adventuring party recently stole a book of infinite spells from this hoard, Tiamat exiled Necrozyte to the Material Plane, where she has maintained a relatively low profile"

"Indeed, battle is chaos Ascaria, but perhaps we could try to check out if the giants are potential allies or also enemies... Do you want us to try out sneaking into the city and talking with their leaders? It might be as risky as facing an army of dragons..." if so, Eidi will cast sphere of invisibility for the group to more easily get into the city.

Bald male Half-Elf elder

"Hmmm... thanks for the information Damsk. The Prince clown was most insidious, I would not be surprised any of the guests decided to show him some place... deep down in the ocean" the half-elf chuckles and accepts another glass of milk before departing.

"So yes Solrisa! It's North! Follow me!" Eidi exclaims as he completes the find the path spell.

The elder is greatly impressed by the size of the ruins. Spotting the dragons attacks, he rushes to the top of the cliff, somewhere well hidden behind a rock where the group can safely transform back into themselves.

Once into solid matter again he points to the ruins alarmed "Have you seen that? The place is under siege... by dragons! Those must be Dragotha's minions..."

Eidi tries to look from a safe distance if the dragons are undead or alive, and if there is some structure in the ruins that seems inhabited.

"You should have also seen the display of true strength between Mortimer and Hoff, the dwarf yes, it was impressive and many assistants ate their nails out of tension" the half-elf nods asserting the truth of the tale "The feast was so rich that even Eri and Mortimer tossed chocolade at each other, can you figure out that? How Zeech manages to get all those richness?"

"Or when Zeech gave me a marzipan soup as trophy" the elder rolls his eyes on the memories of his soaked clothings.

After long hours of flight, Eidi points out "Perhaps we can try to look for signs of intelligent life. Some buildings or other kind of structures, so we can just ask where the Rift Canyon is exactly? Otherwise I guess we can ask for the gods to guide us"

After the 9th days, he is half-way to complete his crafting, but otherwise he is ready to travel "I can teleport us to Alhaster, from there maybe Ascaria can make us again into a white cloud so we can direct ourselves to the Mindspin Mountains. The Rift Canyon must be about 500 miles northeast"

For the next days the half-elf keeps working on enhancing his headband, mounting together new rubies and quartzs, and other gems the group has found and he has been reserving for himself. After each new gem is added, he follows in with long hours of enchanting, following the many notes written in his old book of magic.

He follows more of less the same routine until the group decides everyone is ready to depart for Kongen-Thulnir.

Once the meeting with the druids is done, Eidi gathers with Ascaria to travel back to the pub. There he continues his crafting and let's the others let him know if Solrisa falls sleep to come by her room and perform the ritual. The magic wish ritual. The diamond magic wish ritual.

Bald male Half-Elf elder

Without further ado, Eidi produces one of the four precious diamonds and says the arcane words for a limited wish "I wish Solrisa's curse of the Night Twist is lifted so she does not become one when the last day reaches her and her soul can join the River of Souls"

The words carry powerful magic and when the ritual ends the diamond is magically consumed.

"Quickly! Give me your hands!" Eidi runs from the corner of the room to nearby the fireplace, picking Kristof Jurgensen, Maavu and Lady Ophellha in the run and gesturing for Liorial Lathenmire to approach "Quickly, this is too dangerous! Let's leave this to the experts!"

When the smithy woman reaches the half-elf, he says words of arcane power and disappears with those around him using a dimension door.

"A double phylactery? Hmmm.... a worrying thought" Eidi ponders the idea but discards it negating with the head "The life soul binds to the object when the undeath comes... thus, it seems difficult to create another one when the soul is already trapped. But if the wizard is powerful enough... it is difficult to tell where is the limit. I do not think so, but who can discard..."

"Oh, and explain also when Solrisa killed all the orcs. Just she was not Solrisa! I think it was one of the Darl Quethos minions" Eidi also gives details on the way Mortimer hold heroically the Roc King and how they all were lured by a great tree in the middle of the forest "Of course, we left a few loose strings here and there... but well, who is to notice when the job is done. Isn't it?" Or so does the half-elf hope.

Eidi's head spin, his face going paler and his thoughts staling as he studies the darkest secrets of becoming a lich. Being reborn in its destruction. Releasing the body from its human needs to fully devote to knowledge. Eternity and potential omniscience. The elder has to shake his head and remind himself of the reasons behind their chase in order to stay focused.

Although less chatty than usual, Eidi does indeed share his findings in the Temple Library with anyone among the Outcasts that dare to ask.

"Very much thanks Larson, for your help and orientation. Are you allowed to tell us where the Lady has gone?" Eidi shows his fist a coin between two fingers, and a cookie between other two. The half-elf let's the half-orc choose "Thanks for your help"

Eidi is happy to see Eri again and offers him a hug "Happy to see you are doing well. Sure, I am up for some of their stories, and I happen to remember there was good stocked food involved too"

"Oh, ummm... a baby owlbear phylactery? That is an intriguing idea Solrisa! I never read about a phylactery that is a living creature, but why not? I mean... well, I guess the creature shall be able to life for multiple centuries, perhaps millennia, but it is certainly and interesting theory" Eidi reflects deeply on the matter and forgets to actually answer the half-elf's question.

One of the days during their wait, Eidi teleports the group to Alhaster so they can visit Lashona and the druids, just on the ruined temple where they found Rhorsk and Eri departed.

Eidi profits the evenings at the pub to work hard on the headband improvement, but completion will need some extra time.

"Oh, yes, I think Kongen-Thulnir, but we were considering a stop to talk with Lashonna. I think it might be worth. In the end she was the one who put us on track to Tilagos island" and of course this time the group knows about the elf little secret "I can teleport us to Alhaster to talk with her. We can also reach the Mindspin Mountains more easily from that point too"

Eidi saddens, feeling pity for Solrisa "I do understand you. I have been travelling around and have no place to call home. I thought coming back to the country I was born to would make me feel at place, but I too still feel out of place. However, I have found you and all this adventures and that eases up the lack of belonging" the half-elf puts a hand on Solrisa's shoulder and shakes her compassionately.

Back at the Temple Library, Eidi opens the larger books on old history and undead creature compendiums searching for the phylacteries and how others have destroyed them in the past, and what types of shapes and forms those phylacteries often take.

Later on, the elder makes sure a box of chocolate delicacies reaches Agath for easing up the entry fees.

Eidi agrees with Mortimer and smiles as he finishes his sentence "Yeah, it seemed like the Age of Worms was coming for us. Not really the best time for chatting. Although I am sure had they laid down some roasted beef, things would have been tempting"

"Although interesting, I will have to decline on the zoo Solrisa" Eidi sighs while observing his incomplete work "It seems I will have to profit any little available time for my studies and crafting"

Eidi will dedicate as much days as possible to crafting his headband, but he is ok to depart to see Lashona at any time as a break.

Would you exceptionally allow Eidi to use the keep watch spell to double his crafting output?
