Can't say I blame you. Life comes first. See ya later, GM.

Still here.

"I forge the will of Torag into weapons and arms, making them faster than others and more reliably. The Father of Creation has granted me much skill at and away from the forge, even the ability to remove magic from objects if I so desire. I'm not afraid to use what I make either." A miniature stone figure, a dwarf-like thing with bat wings and covered in runes, flies up to land on Durgrin's helmet. "Then there's Slate. I made him too."

"So, if we're ta be exploring together, what's everyone bring ta thr group?" Durgrin asks after a few moments.

I kind of prefer just being told in play by posts when to level.

"And ta honer him we chisel and gorge and build in return, to greater influence the world around us with that spark."

"Torag's will be done." Durgrin says softly(for a dwarf). He sits with his helmet on the table next to his mug and a wicked looking Longaxe, it's blades black as pitch, leaning behind him on the wall. "I'm Durgrin Shadowstone, crafter of weapons and armors, brewer of potions, etc."

Dot.

Geez, sorry if I held things up, guys.

Imma just go make nameplates for 'me now...

Background:

"From the bones of the world we draw our blades. Steel from stone. Stone from the earth. We come from the earth too, son, from the places no light shines. We are the bones of the world made flesh." ~Sorgen of the Darkaxe, Patriarch of the Shadowstone clan, to Durgrin.

The world made flesh. Words Durgrin often wondered about the meaning of. If dwarves were the bones, what was the blood, muscles, and organs? He thought about it when he watched the older clan members training, and years later when he was learning his trade too. The answer always eluded him. It still does.

Early on he wanted to make things. Sure, the warriors could swing a sword, but they needed a good one or they'd die all the faster. He fixed more broken weapons, shields, and armor than he could count. Some of his best work at the time too.

Like all of his clan Durgrin had to know how to fight, and he made weapons best suited to his technique. Too far for a sword? His axe could reach. Too close for the axe? He'd headbutt with his helmet and laugh. He liked the thrill of battle, and when his clan called on him to join others? Why, he made his best gear yet and closed up his forge.

There was new people to sell his work to, after all!

Pretty rough, but I'm okay with it.

Azten here, with my military-grade craftsdwarf(well, the crunch, anyway).

If 3rd party/homebrew feats were allowed... well, I'm not mean enough to want to ask. :)

However, I have run a campaign for an all dwarf party. Dwarf fighter, wizard, rogue, and cleric. It was the single most formidable party I've ever gamed with.

Ah, how I miss them days...

Given that you are an adventurer, what is your favorite magical item and why?

"We must be quiet lads, and keep the element o' surprise as best we can. I don't think we can afford to attack them... yet."

Durgrin's hand does not leave the hilt of his rapier though.

"Look at where I am Grandfather. Look at how much closer to your Glory we are!" Durgrin thinks as he stares up at the night sky.

"Fighting down 'ere, in tha dark tunnels.. more than ever I want to go above and fight in sunlight." His hand reaches up to the disc in his beard. "But taking the Orcs by surprise be more favorable to me."

"My vote in this be neutral then. Above or Below, as long as we get or mission done."

Durgrin collects a dozen of the bolts before they get broken.

"No sense in using good dwarven bolts 'till I have to, eh brothers? Save them for the orcs!"

"Ha, ye dogs aren't so tough, are they dark ones?" Durgrin taunts the duergar as he reloads and fires his crossbow, taking a step back for a better shot.

5ft step away from the hounds if firing the crossbow would cause an AoO.

Light Crossbow:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Damage:1d8 ⇒ 7

Ye be askin' a bunch o' dwarves to be patient!? I think ye got into a keg o' tainted ale!

;)

Perception:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
Knowledge(Dungeoneering):1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23

Durgrin snaps his crossbow up and fires at one of the strange canines.

Crossbow:1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 8 + 1 = 17 1d8 ⇒ 4

So who wants to trust the Rogue with the loot? ;)

"The be knowin' we're here now. We either hurry along or make sure they don't get reinforcements ta be bringin' against us." Durgrin says as he pokes at a Duerger with his blade to make sure it's dead.

"I need to know, so I can scout the right way. Trackin' or not.."

Taking aim, Durgrin fires at the first Duerger he sees. He then quickly draws his thin blade.

Attach:1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 8 + 1 = 14
Damage:1d8 ⇒ 3
Sneak Attack:3d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 1) = 8

If he can's see one, he waits for a shot to present itself.

Perception:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15
Knowledge(Dungeoneering):1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17

Durgrin slips over to the wall while loading his fine crossbow, leveling it at the corner the Duergar ran around.

"Tell me when to shoot if they be invisible."

Stealth:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21

Trying to seem less obvious than the others.

"That be good enough for me brother, just don't lose sight of me when I be leading ya." Drugrin grins, then turns his attention back to the tunnels ahead.

Durgrin smiles as the others decide(or argue) the way they'd be moving through the tunnels. Even after Rhen took lead, Durgrin stayed close to teh front, ready to fight.

Perception:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
Stealth:1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20

Sorry for the delay, one of my classes keeps me too busy to post.

"I came 'ere ready to go." Durgrin grumbles as he takes a stone from his belt pouch and begins to sharpen his dagger.

"A sharp back-up be as good as ye first choice..."

"If it be helping tha King bring back tha Glory," Durgrin says after letting the others speak and listening carefully, "I don't care which road we take. "

"But I find meself agreeing with Feldspar, 'bout learning tha Above well. I'd rather be feelin' tha Sun on me skin then tha tunnel's chill."

His fingers trace the disc braided into his beard as he talks, slowly going over each letter.
