Spheres of Might (previously Spheres of Combat), the martial counterpart to the Spheres of Power system, has just gone live on kickstarter! This book expands martial options using the same Sphere-based approach of Spheres of Power: concept-based, available right from 1st level, and filled with all sorts of awesome techniques to make each round of combat visceral and intriguing. Come take a look and help us bring you Spheres of Might!
The time has come to announce our next big project, which comes to kickstarter this Saturday! Spheres of Combat rebuilds martial characters in a similar fashion to how Spheres of Power handles magic; it lets you build by concept and opens up those concepts from 1st level. However, rather than focusing on effects, SoC deals in combos, letting you turn each round into a symphony of techniques. We've got a team of writers on this one and it's shaping into something awesome, so come take a look!
Note: Not arguing; reviews are just so few and far between sometimes that I'm excited for the chance to delve into specifics, if you're willing. The choir has a full picture on the first page of the entry, then a sketch on the following page. The guardian plants' likewise have a main picture, then a sketch a few pages later. It's true there is no full picture for the greater daemon, but they're a summoned creature and not an actual CR'ed monster, so it doesn't have an entry in the book. Is it simply the existence of the light sketches that were the problem, or are you specifically referring to something like the way we handled the unicorn and the yaksha?
The process for converting SLAs was really just deciding whether the monster was a Low, Mid, or High caster, then deciding which sphere abilities best matched their abilities; we tried to keep to 2+ caster level talents for each monster as much as possible. As for the cover of the bestiary alone, we did it that way because it's modeled after an in-world tome; Wizard's Academy actually has rules for looking monsters up in FANTASTICAL CREATURES AND HOW TO SURVIVE THEM if the players own a copy. Print is in the works; it takes months to get print books printed and shipped to us, and backers have already waited a ridiculously long time to get their copies, so we decided to release the PDFs now.
After waaaaaay too long of a development timeline, Wizard's Academy is out! Wizard's Academy was the other big Spheres of Power release we were working on; it's an adventure module with 8 possible villains and encounters designed for levels 1-20 for complete modular design. Also, it's coupled with over 120 pages of bestiary with both new monsters and old classics revamped to use the Spheres of Power system. If you just want the bestiary and not the whole adventure, you can get that as well: Fantastical Creatures and How to Survive Them: A Student's Guide for Adventure and Study is available right now at RPG Drivethru, and here on Paizo as soon as the staff finishes clearing it.
Vigilantes of Skybourne and The Luchador have been the first non-Spheres of Power or Skybourne products we've printed in a while (technically the vigilante book is Skybourne, but they're also pretty setting-neutral). Just looking for general feedback; how do they work? And would you like to see more products like these from us, or should we go back to the SoP saltmines?
We tried to make the rules as seamless as possible going from creatures to vehicles, but the 'object' nature of vehicles made that hard (when making a creature larger, you can just throw on natural AC. Objects don't get that benefit in core Pathfinder, they just get more hp). Keeping Strength at '10' was a means of adjusting for that discrepancy; size penalties to attack and ac would scale at the same rate, so two Large mechs fighting would have the same hit/miss chance as two Colossal mechs fighting. However, while this makes attack values more correct, other things are thrown off as well with mech/creature interactions, as you've pointed out. When dealing with mech/creature interactions, I would recommend adjusting the mech's base strength according to its size as if you were advancing a monster: Large 18, Huge 26, Gargantuan 34, Colossal 42. If you want to keep these values all the time that's also valid; when fighting mech to mech in melee combat you'll never miss, but everything else will be more seamless, and it will certainly speed up vehicle combat and make melee attractive compared to other vehicle combat options.
What do you want from us? We're best known for Spheres of Power and Skybourne and we'll keep on supporting those, but that's not all we do. But recently we published the Luchador - a monk/vigilante hybrid class - and this Saturday we'll be releasing a whole book of Vigilante options. I'm just curious; what are the things you'd like to see from us? Outside of 'more SoP support,' what would you love us to make for you?

Ha! You pretty much perfectly described our next major release: Wizard's Academy, the module/bestiary designed for modular upgrading to fit whatever level the players are.

So more smaller adventure modules and handbooks rather than large volumes.
Everyone wants something different from a campaign setting, and we are trying to meet all of those needs. The first two Skybourne books are out and they're both very heavy on crunch: The Player's Guide to Skybourne is almost exclusively dedicated to airship crew rules, new skills, new races, new class options, and all of that, while Ships of Skybourne is practically pure vehicle-creation crunch and sample vehicles, including land, sea, and air vessels. Our next two books are a city guide and a GM's guide for running the world, but after that...? I'm wondering what people want to see from us for this line, not just from people who've already bought the first two books, but just generally what sort of things interest people about a new world. We could keep expanding player options, we could do lore and history for all the different peoples and adventuring regions, we could do a book dedicated to space and planar travel that we'll do our best to make Starfinder compatible, or we could even do another expansion of the vehicle rules (we already introduced mecha/powered armor piloting in Ships of SKybourne, after all, so why not run with it?)
Chris Ballard wrote: Is there going to be another Kickstarter attempt to update this? This is actually the second time I've mentioned this today, but at this point if we updated this, it would be as part of a combined "Adventurers of Skybourne" book with updates to our classes. It's something I really want to do, we've just got to get through our other books first before we can officially announce something like that.

We're actually contemplating taking this and our other classes and updating them as needed/expanding them with new content and publishing it as an "Adventurers of Skybourne" collected volume. No official declaration on if/when that might happen, though.
Just throwing it out there, but the first of our planned expansion handbooks has just launched: The Geomancer's Handbook.
Through a bizarre sequence of events including our layout lady wishing to redo her work, freelancers popping up at the exact right time, and other factors coming together, we're getting the chance to do something I hadn't though we'd get to do for years: Expand and update our first book, Rogue Glory. We're running an 11-day kickstarter dedicated to raising funds quickly, after which we send freelancers to work updating and expanding the book get some artists to do some original pieces, and get it out to everyone by Christmas. Rogue Glory was a book all about the Pathfinder Rogue, including new abilities, rewrites of the Stealth and trap rules, new archetyes, new magic items, new feats and rogue talents, and everything else possible, all related to the rogue. While the mechanics are great, the book itself is black and white and riddled with first-time publisher mistakes. The mechanics are also a few years out of date with everything that's been happening in the Pathfinder world. This isn't an update to Rogue Glory; we're going to be discontinuing that product and replacing it with this one, which will have a higher price point to reflect its expanded status. If you already own Rogue Glory you can get the upgrade for only $5 with a special tier. Otherwise, please come and check it out.
Just so you all know, we've started the process for writing the next big series of Spheres of Power expansions, and it's the sort of thing we need your help with. We have hired a lot of freelancers to do a series of Handbooks expanding each of the 20 spheres, which at a rate of one handbook per month, is a project we're fully-intending to take almost two years to finish. To get this off the ground and to help us pay for such a elongated investment, we've also started a Patreon. Backers will get playtesting documents, input on the artwork and potential chapter-starting stories, and of course copies of everything before anyone else. I have loved the support Spheres of Power has been getting, and with this I hope to be able to bring more content to people at a much, much faster rate. Thanks to everyone who checks it out.

There have been a lot of people asking about when the next expansion for Spheres of Power will be published, but all my time is currently being spent on Skybourne. Clearly the answer is to bring other people in. And now, back to writing...
1. I apologize for that oversight; it's a line effect, so it effects a 5'ft square in width. However, in my games I'd allow someone to double the width by halving the length, applicable as many times as appropriate. 2. You can step into and appear out of the same darkness effect. 3. There is no RAW for quickening an effect, but it's not hard to add an appropriate weather talent: Quicken Weather
I'd treat his objects as flying creatures.
@Mad Alchemist: It is the one backers of both will get free, but due to the simple man-power requirements for that, we won't be able to send those codes until tomorrow, but they should hopefully be sent out quickly in the morning. @SilvercatMoonpaw: It should now be available on RPG Drivethru/RPGNow.
The first Spheres of Power supplement has just been released! More conversion archetypes, favored class bonuses, and several archetypes per SoP class, for everyone who wants something new to help them play with the Spheres!
From where you drop it; the higher it is, the more time people have to get away. We're working with the Pathfinder rules on that, though, so I'd personally include a +2 bonus per size category over Small to off-set that penalty, since the bigger it is, the harder it is to dodge, but I haven't tried that in game so I can't verify it's usefulness.
From now until Saturday, we will hold open voting on the submitted worlds. Take a look over the entries and cast your vote here.
