I am traveling starting tomorrow and will have limited posting time for about 15 days. Next week (visiting family) will not be as limiting as the following week (taking a 6 day class with long hours). Please bot me if you need to.

Diana is only +4 in bluff but cfan try to assist. She can even roll twice so likely will succeed or a +2.

Not sure we can get the drop on them. They have siege aimed at us as well. Maybe a good bluff to get a surprise round?

The other captain seems quite confident. And I am sure he has done this before, many times. I cannot imagine an intimidate roll high enough to get him to back down, much less give us his ring. He would loose face with his crew even if he wanted to.

I think this will result in a fight since most of us are unwilling to pay. And a fight might be required to get the ring. And when you must fight striking first is good. :) Though in truth at this point I think it will come down to initiative.

Might be worth that once-a-day take 20 on a knowledge check some bards get if you have that ability Edward... would really like to know what that thing is :) Can we get a slightly better description? Size? 2 legs or 4? Scales? Fur? etc.

We lost power for 4 hours last night in central Indiana.

I wonder if there is any chance of this “Milksop” Morton lending us his ring. It doesn't sit well to just take it from him unprovoked. I suspect he will fight. To not do so would cost him a lot of crew morale. Would be nice to at least know he is a scoundrel who mistreats his crew or is guilty of untold evil deeds.

And will you be coming with us good doctor to seek out this ring and then on to find the Banshee? I ask because it will change my opinion on your share you should receive of what treasure we recover.

Question about Zul: Will it bypass DR from silver and cold iron? If it counts as +3 weapon it will. It is +1 and Human Bane and does plus 1d4 dex drain and DC 16 slow effect for 1 round if it hits. Human bane counts as as +1. Would the dex drain and slow effect as well?

Diana decides that the men need an advantage and casts Glitterdust, catching the serpent. DC 17 Will save or be blind. Making sure the wheel is manned she draws her trident and begins to move towards the creature.

It's as fast as hand signing the alphabet for the deaf. And that can be very fast, My mother-in-law is so fast most non-deaf people cannot follow her. She lived with a deaf uncle for years.

Signal flags can do alphabets too... Old boy scout here. :)
