I have seen 2 or 3 Paizo books printed in Canada, I don't know if it's possible to do it on a regular basis and don't know the financial of that… I'm sure it's not as cheap than printing in China... but don't know by how much. A bonus of printing in North America, as the books transit in Paizo warehouse, is that they don't cross half the planet before being shipped again to customers. So probably less shiping polution.

It is set in the Lost Lands! and I had not heard about this AP until now. The blog didn't mention when the first volume launch? Was it a KickStarter or simply a product we can order when it's released? Also is's not the subject of this thread but still quite of interest, Jason, if you open a new thread in 3pp sub I think I'm not the only one interested and some like me may have this Under the radar and missed it
I like to read the forewords. Even more when I read again an older adventure, it give a good idea how the developer think at the time, what was the context... If its for more adventure content, its not all bad as I like long path.. Maybe a good compromise would be in 1st and last volume? Set up foreword ans wrap up..? A couple of poster mention the ads at the end and I think its not as crazy as it seems to remove them... I understant Paizo want to promote other line, but specifically for the adventure path, the target market is mostly GM or collectors who I think know well what products exist in the other lines. Maybe I'm wrong.
I'll stick with PF1. Too much money(books and HeroLab) and time invested as well as options for a lifetime. Same thing for Adventure path and modules, I have 2 groups and can run them forever. We are all near or over 40 and the majority don't want to learn all again, some haven't catch some basic rules after 10 years... As a GM, I think my player prefer to keep it as it is and I have a load of adventures I'd like to run that I already own that I wouldnt have to convert. As a player, each time I make a new PC I play it for 2-3 years, so I'm not near to have tried all that I'd like in PF1 That said, I will probably buy the PF2 CRB out of curiosity and see what it is, and I may add I'm preaty sure it will be well done. For futur AP, il continue to get each new one as I like reading them for the story. If I like an AP so much that it's what I want to run, I will probably convert it to PF1. Same thing for Campaign settings, I like them for the lore and will continue to get them, with maybe the exception of the more mechanic oriented ones. I understand why Paizo is doing that move and like I said, I'm sure it will be great but I'm not changing and while not perfect I still enjoy PF1 a lot as do my players.
Thank you Rednal, I have read most of RA and have another group in Tsar. The first group is a good groop for this kind of game, they're more into deep delves than deep story. What stopped me in from running it the past was tthe mapping, I realy suck at it and RA have a lot of enormous maps. Now these digital maps will be perfect, we play on a lcd pannel Embedded in our gaming table and it will make my life way easier.
I don't think that kind of presure is what make Erik or Michael like to make the blog. I realy like these blogs and look foward to them, but on the other side, this kind of post taste weird.. I remember Erik seems to like writing these blogs until he didn't anymore. With some search I bet I can point the week that change. I think you could tone it down a bit. If the guys at Paizo keep having fun doing what they do, it will be more fun for us and i'm sure they will come more often to us.. Dany

I opened my boxes quickly before going to bed and havent had the time for a deep look but the quality is not that bad at first look. And sadly my brick have no Irovetti or Feiya, maybe it's one per case, but IIRC, they said one per brick. We will know when someone open a complete case...
Make sure your player take ranks in knowledges. My players don't care to do that and miss some(most) leads on missed knowledge check. In fact they make it to book five with enough intel to know where to go but not enough to know Why, they slowly lost interest. It's still an excellent path, will probably run it again with an other group in the futur.
Hello, First post but long time lurcker on this forum... I am the GM of a fairly seasoned group of players and have decided to run them through an AP for the first time. I showed them the description of every PFRPG AP (not the 3.5 ones)an they chose to play Serpent' Skull. My question is, knowing they are all able players and some of them optimizer and me an experimented GM, will they be ok through the AP with the class they choosed. Note that I still wait for my books to be delivered. So I got 4 players, 15PB and I asume this AP is fast track XP
Will they be ok without a thank (Paladin or else) and will they miss a pure arcane caster (mage or sorcerer)? Finally do you suggest me to add a NPC to form a group of 5 or stay with the 4 players? Thanks in advance, I'm looking foward for your answers! Dany Edit the race of the druid |
