After narrowly escaping disaster, Con doesn't seem as keen to save civilians but it's hard to say whether that was his actual intent in the first place.

Con remains on the ground until the giant and the robed man pass. Once he's sure they're out of earshot he hops to his feet and reconvenes with the group.

"What the hell was that thing? It was huge! Err... Size 2 maybe? I can never remember. I think we might reassess our plan and maybe look in books to find out more information about what exactly we're up against."

He shakes off the adrenaline from almost getting smushed and sits against the wall.

The lumbering hulk stumbles into Con's makeshift cover forcing him to jump out of the way, and revealing himself in the process.

He dives onto the ground and plays dead, hoping the giant doesn't notice.

Con sits quietly across the alley from Tam, behind his own cover, while Tam tries to draw someone's attention. He starts to feel anxious and sweaty as the anticipation of battle gets to him.
He begins to pant as his excitement grows and his grip tightens on his weapon.
Con nearly bursts out from behind his cover when Keri sneezes. He stumbles back from his false start, shaking. When he sees the hulking mass approaching them, he goes cold and sits back on his heels, holding his breath.

Con perked up when they neared the city.

"We could test our newfound powers here. Maybe... Recover some supplies... Avenge M'ushu..."

His body was filled with the urge for combat, though he kept his cool as they continued up river.

Before:
Con was mostly consumed by his newfound bloodlust during their journey back to the lighthouse. To everyone else, he just seemed a bit distant and distracted, but inside his mind, it was like a constant debate trying to justify who was or wasn't okay to kill.

It was like he had to reason with himself to decide who around him deserved to live or not. He didn't want to be a bad person but the urges he had to kill were so strong. Fortunately, it was easy to justify not killing his friends. He needed friends to survive for he couldn't sail, or create fire, and having a distraction would allow for more killing later. The monks provided shelter and served the same lord...

Con says, agreeing with the others.

Having already said his goodbyes, he lifts his new pack, weapons, and armor and begins the long hike back down.
He felt more confident about himself than ever and was surprised to find himself less than tired when they reached their old camping spot. Old habits die hard, however, and he was the first to sit down and start a fire for their dinner.

The energy that hit Con was like a tidal wave. It surged up through his feet, into his arms, and swirled around his mind. Things became cloudy and he responded in anger, clasping the sides of his head in pain. The muscles in his body flexed and grew, splitting his skin slightly with the sudden changes; it was the only thing he could focus on.

He falls to his knees as the moment passes and he is left breathing hard, trembling, and in a state of shock.

Inside himself, he felt a newfound urge to kill any enemy put in his path without mercy.

He was now a Slayer.

Butchery: When an attack roll you make results in a success or a failure, you can use a triggered action to make an attack. You make the attack roll for this attack with 1 bane, but the attack deals 1d6 extra damage. You then grant 1 boon on all rolls made to attack you until you take another turn.
Grievous Wound: Whenever you roll damage dice for an attack you make and you roll at least two 6s, the target of your attack falls prone and becomes impaired until the end of your next turn.

As Con was called from chores to meet Gax, he was nervous. Glad to be done choring, but unsure what to expect from this god. Their first meeting went fine, but beings of power can be so fickle.

The loudness didn't bother him, he was used to that, but the power he could feel made him shiver more than the cold.
He is quiet, deep in thought trying to make sense of everything, while the others ask their questions. The details of their quest became a list in his head with a few tasks already checked off. However, he made a mental note:

We really need a map, damn it, I miss Google...

When Vultan hands Con the boots and the stone, he returns the nod, smiles, and shrugs with a knowing look.

"I also have a question..."

He piped up nervously, turning as best he could to face the great Gax.

"...Why us?"

Con wakes up feeling rather refreshed and starving.

He bundles up the best he can and starts his search for food. He also plans on helping around this place if any is needed. Chores help warm the body and ease the mind.

Con eyed the root, inspecting it like he might see something wrong with it. After Tam and Keri eagerly ate their shares, Con shrugged and started to chew. It wasn't his favorite, but he was never a picky eater.

He was glad when the relief kicked in and the feeling came back to his legs. There was now some pep in his step, although he still shivered constantly.

Con became tense when the stranger approached them. He gripped his spear, ready for a fight. After the talking started he relaxed.

Let's hope they don't try to feed us to any plants...

He grunted as he got up, still hugging himself for warmth.

Con does not do well in the cold, even before becoming a dragonborn. TO conserve the little heat he has, Con regularly sits silently with his head down and arms folded.

"No, yeah, f+%@ that climb. It's seriously the last resort if there is absolutely no other way."

After the crab monster fell Con swiveled to the next target. It was gone, so he swiveled to the next, and the next, and then he realized there were no more targets. His breaths were heavy from exertion, but his blood still boiled with adrenalin.

Following Tam's lead, he speared the remaining monsters in the neck. A swift death was only fair for these animals.

I really wish I had waited to change into these warm clothes. Sorry Kyler, I can't have anything nice.

He said this with a weak voice, trying to keep the tears from starting. It didn't help, and he began to silently sob, taking deep breaths as his nerves came alive and the numbness of battle faded.

After he calmed himself down he looked at the mess in the room. He couldn't even begin to imagine what it would take to clean the blood and viscera from the floors and walls, but he knew that wasn't going to be his job. He would help, however.

Con grabs one of the corpses and looks it over for anything that could tell them more about what was going on. After the search, he drags it to the catwalk outside, lifts it over the railing, and drops it.

Con hoists the oil bucket Tam gave him onto his shoulder. He looks back at the group and nods with his intention to act.

He lets out a guttural roar and twists his face into a terrifying visage!

Demonic Glare:
As a triggered action on your turn, you can twist your face into a frightening visage. Any creature that can see your face must make a Will challenge roll or become frightened for 1 round. They make this challenge roll with a number of banes equal to half your Corruption score (rounded down). Once you use this talent, you cannot use it again until after you complete a rest.

He doesn't recognize anything about the ritual taking, but it didn't matter to him, Con just wanted to get out of there alive!

The terrible monster put Con on edge, but he was ready to fight it! His confidence was bolstered by his allies behind him.

Con nods and heads up the stairs into the room with glass all over the floor. He steps carefully around the room and stops to inspect the pump.

I would like to make a note of any apparent on/off switches or levers and obvious leaks.

With his spear in hand, he heads up the second flight of stairs to where the chanting can be heard.

Once he stuck his head through the door, Con couldn't see anything that needed immediate attention so he heads back down the stairs and tells the rest of the group what he found out.

"Looks like there's just the fuel pump up there for the light, however, the ground is covered in all the glass that has ever existed so we might want to clear that out somehow... Maybe the house has a broom, or we could use some of the debris as a makeshift push broom."

Con then sifts through the debris for anything that could be used to clear away some of the glass.

Con replies, nodding at Tam. He heads up the stairs spear first, light second.
Noting the disgusting barnacles, Con generally tries to avoid touching anything unusual in the lighthouse as best he could.

Back at the house, Con was able to dry off and change into the warmer clothes that Vultan bought for him. He was still nursing his arm but he felt a lot better than before.

Spear in hand, Con brought up the rear of the group as they traversed the fog. He was spooked for sure, but the previous battle had bolstered his confidence. Fighting to survive seemed a little more realistic now.

As his vision comes back, Con can see that the fishmen have fled. He slides down the wall and sits for several long moments, catching his breath.

"Ah, well, my arm's not in great shape."

He says to Tam when asked.

Con gets up and stumbles down the hall. He sees and heads for the kitchen in search of rags or running water or something for his wound.
He doesn't exactly register the bodies at first, they are so bloated and discolored. A chill runs down his spine when he realizes what he is looking at.

"Oh s&~!, s$!~! There are f%~!ing dead people in here!"

He calls to the rest of the house. He is only distracted long enough to poke one of the bodies with his spear. Shuddering he continues his search for supplies.

Con was too cold and too tired to care what came through the door, he only wanted it gone. He thrusts at the creature again!

Con started swinging wide, trying to find his foes with the torch.

There was just a flash of movement and Con thrust his spear and caught one of the fiends!

Con shivers as he leans against the door clutching his spear.

When the door bursts open he is jarred and pressed into the wall, but he quickly comes to his senses. The room is pitch black now that their light source was moved so Con tries to activate his torch spear!
He swings it out into the room and, once he gets a bead on his target, lunges at them.

Con wasn't ready for the gruesome scene in the outhouse. Witnessing that on top of being cold and wet caused his high-stress levels to become overwhelming and he lost it for several moments. He followed behind closely and gripped his spear so hard his hands hurt.

Once everyone is inside, Con grabs the door to stop it from slamming and hopefully keep some of the wind out.

Con looks out to anyone that heard Vultan yell and motions for them to follow. Before Tam comes up from the water, Con begins his trudge to the lighthouse. He stops briefly when he hears his friend jump into the water, but with Keri there to help, Con goes back to leading the willing to safety.

He makes a mental checklist as he goes and starts looking for the things he needs.
First I'll get a fire going, then I'll hang up everyone's wet clothes, boil a pot of water, and then get some food in us.

He felt good being on dry land again, even hopeful!

Once Con makes it out of the water, he strips his shirt and pants off. It's cold, but the wet clothes only made him colder.

Shivering, he says:
"If y'all are gonna wait around for Tam, I'll head to the lighthouse! Do you have anything you want me to take with?"

The wind and the waves try to drown out his voice so he points at himself and the lighthouse as he asks.
The cold has always been hard for him to deal with, and the distress on his face makes it apparent that he's in a hurry to get inside.

Con couldn't build up enough speed to make the jump and he crashed into the water. It wasn't unexpected and it wasn't ideal, but he didn't really have a choice.

Swimming!: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

Swimming was easier for him in this new body, but he still sucked at it and only just managed to keep from drowning while he tried to make his way to land.

Con was already below deck when the rain started and he was far too distracted with rowing to see the lights under the water.

Once there was enough water to go around, Con didn't have much to worry about on the trip. He rowed as hard as the rest and tried to demonstrate that the freshwater was safe by example. Though it may have very well been as likely that the crew assumed a Dragonborn could drink seawater by nature. Still, Con was able to stand fast against the troubled waters they crossed.

Con's not one to shy away from hard labor, but rowing a ship was not something he had ever done. It wasn't long before he ached in ways he never had before, but he knew he'd make it through... Or at least he hoped. Without any working knowledge of sailing, he didn't have much input about the problem they were facing.

After Tam's remark, Con chimes in:
"What I wouldn't give... However, maybe a nap, while we wait, is in order. If I can manage it, anyway."

On a success, the target becomes frightened for 1 minute. On a failure, the target becomes immune to your use of Demoralize until it completes a rest.
Spiritbreaker: When you use a weapon to attack a creature that has at least one affliction, you make the attack roll with 1 boon.

The days following their time in the hive were mostly filled with pain for Con. The loss of an eye is bad no matter where you are. However, without proper healing magic and being nowhere near civilization Con didn't know what was going to happen.

He had started to feel ill by the time they reached the coastal village. A swift visit to the local healer did wonders to make him feel better. Almost like magic! Unfortunately, there was no one around with the power to heal his eye. It was gone, possibly for good.

The weight of the world fell around Con's shoulders and the only thing that made it lighter was a stiff drink.
It wasn't long before he became known at the local watering hole as a big strong ugly beast who needed a job. And big strong ugly beasts make good guard dogs... Or Thugs.

Con's last-ditch effort to get away from the harvester only managed to provoke him.
With lightning-fast reflexes, he had a grip on Con's head and used his sharp knife to cut out one of his eyes. It happens so quickly that Con can only manage to scramble away, leaving the body he was dragging.

There is pain, but the adrenalin makes it easy to ignore. He can feel the warm blood pour down his face. He clutches his face, unsure of what has actually happened.
He rushes toward his friends.

Use Demonic Glare:
As a triggered action on your turn, you can twist your face into a frightening visage. Any creature that can see your face must make a Will challenge roll or become frightened for 1 round. They make this challenge roll with a number of banes equal to half your Corruption score (rounded down). Once you use this talent, you cannot use it again until after you complete a rest.
