This. Bow so OP.
If any other alphas find themselves similarly burdened, please note that I am more than willing to relieve you of said burden ;D
Hmm. I was going to try to get the client downloading while I slept, but it seems everyone who knows is busy trying to get the game running (not that I blame them). I'll check back tomorrow and hopefully KC or Caldeathe will have an answer for me! Thanks Jazz.
I'm confused, how are people joining Alpha now? Was there a mid-week raffle? Or did I just miss out on the EE invites somehow?
Harad Navar wrote: I may have missed something, but which hex is for Alderwag? They also go by "The Gauntlet". Hex D will be their settlement home.
Bludd, all you're doing with those questions is asking the involved parties to talk about their different perspectives. Each group will have different answers. And because those answers are different, the groups have split. The end. No need for a whole thread on semantics because of what was most likely a rhetorical question posted out of spite :D
Good info to have compiled somewhere, thanks for your time in organizing it!
<Tavernhold>Malrunwa Soves wrote: You know, I don't think anyone in the area is going the expert/commoner rout during war of the towers. If you went that rout you might be able to bring something more to a negotiation since almost all the settlements around you would want to send their crafts-men to you for training. That might not necessarily be true ;). More to come in the future, I hope.
Also, even if they were to go crafting, they only have 12 people. Enough for 2 towers :(.
Also in Talonguard but not listed on the spreadsheet are the Ash City Knights - leader: Toombstone, Dragonfall Fellowship - leader: Dalza, and The Lightbringers - leader: Lord Boom. Thanks!
To fill in a few gaps:
Malfaetor is the leader of the Steel City Knights in Talonguard and and Vexx is the leader of the Dragonblade Mercenaries, also of Talonguard.
Good to know that terminology. Thanks Cal!

Uh, sorry. What is "dotting"?
Well folks, we've managed to secure spot K in LR2 but that doesn't mean we're finished recruiting! There's still time to join before EE to help us build one of the most bustling settlements in the game, a to-be haven of new player and experienced vet alike! Individuals and companies are both welcome!

PLENTY of flimsy there. I don't understand. Are you saying it's not good strategy to go for a location that has a lot of good stuff going for it?
edit: To me, that seems to confirm that Andius was right. If you're saying the largest group on the LR2 board took a hex that wasn't great just because Andius wanted it, I think that's a stretch. Definitely is a stretch. Athansor has always wanted K from the beginning because, as Andius' map shows, it's very close to the starting area for good-aligned players. The opinions of others really had nothing to do with Talonguard's decision to go with K.

PLENTY of flimsy there. A grudge because a large group secured a spot you and a small group wanted to eventually secure is flimsy. Unless I am missing something? We always loved K. Just not for us. I thought there was more to this story than just a land dispute?
I for one applaud your efforts, Andius, and think it reflects highly on the community that you're making an effort to get revenge using the game while at the same time welcoming others to your evil haven. I'm glad that, as a good character, I'll have even more to worry about while in the wilderness. Looking forward to seeing what Blighthaven can accomplish.

Like those above me, I want to double check about the ambiguity of "winners". As a member of Talonguard, the top settlement in LR2, I feel like a winner! Does that count? :P
^ Cheatle was a big help. And it was lovely to meet some of our neighbors! Any word yet on this occurring again on Saturday to accommodate TAI? I know the idea was proposed, but I don't know if it's moved beyond that stage quite yet.

Some of us have zero interest in bowing to any king.
My 2 CP.
While the name for the mechanic of the game that has, as of now, potential of being a topic of discussion is Kingdom, that doesn't mean that's the government we have to put in place. The beauty of this game is it's freedom and the power that is placed directly in the hands of the players. You don't want a king, fine. Come discuss with us what you do want, and, as players and comrades, let's build the game we desire.
I've passed along the message to Athansor and Toombstone over here at Talonguard (hopefully). I plan to be in attendance even if they can't make it.

edit . the store was always month 2 ,the date may have been wrong if it use to say September. Maybe my memory is faulty, but when I purchased EE access in June it made no mention of a first or second month, just said join the game during EE and the estimated month was August.
KoTC Edam Neadenil wrote: If you are really desperate to get in during that first 4 weeks I am certain there are people around that subscribed to buddy deals that have spare ones still unallocated. Just ask around. I wouldn't say I'm desperate. I just like to be able to plan my schedule ahead of time and was curious about the state of things since the time in the shop changed and I saw no blog posts explaining anything. That being said, if someone was willing to hook a guy up with one of these supposedly unallocated buddy deals, we could become buddies indeed :D.
Thanks for all the help and quick replies everyone!
So as someone who did not fund the game on kickstarter but purchased the EE access from the store prior to the change in date, I'd be looking at EE access in month 2?
Hey all. I unfortunately haven't had much time to devote to keeping up on the latest news on these forums. I've seen several references to EE 1 and EE 2. I've also noticed that the expected date of EE in the Goblinworks store has changed to October and that this is the "second month" or EE.
So, please help me be lazy and enlighten me on what EE 1 and 2 are and who qualifies for what? Thanks everyone!

Kobold Cleaver wrote: Bunibuni wrote: We have a nice ruling council that any company who joins us gets to be on. Since Kabal is currently just one company, any other companies who join us have a very powerful say in what we will do in the future. Y'know, it'd be interesting to see a breakdown on settlement organizations. Freevale has a very similar structure—each company gets a place on the Council, and there are two Council spots reserved to represent the free agents' interests. I think UNC has something like that as well (though the free agents thing might just be us). Talonguard has always had the setup you've described.
Hello all! My name is Clex and I've recently joined Talonguard as of a few days ago! Even with the slight inactivity that's bound to happen before EE, everyone has been incredibly kind and helpful so far! I'm really looking forward to EE and meeting everyone in-game!
