Well, even if the mite is not a part of the equation, this is still, at best, a very difficult fight. I think that the remaining members of the party would like to retrieve our bodies before leaving, but is that even possible?

To the others, does it make sense to try and wait til it is resting to sneak in and take our unconscious selves ( and the one wand of cure light ), or do you prefer getting the hell out of Dodge while you still can?
I agree. It seems like you could wait out the darkness, so don't go and get yourselves killed. Also, I don't know if this has any bearing on PbP but I have the feeling we would be well over the 4 hour limit these scenarios usually have.

Typically the way darkness works is that noone can see anything within it. What you are thinking of is obscuring mist, which isn't nearly as bad. This is the stuff TPKs are made of. I do have some suggestions for my fellow party members but I do not want to meta, since the character is dreaming/readying himself for a good old fashioned Coup-de-Grace. I had such high hopes for this character too :(
Boris dreams. His visions are chaotic, confusing... Frightening. Flesh being flayed, soothing sounds whispered in the darkness are heard, biting cold. It all flashes through his mind, as his fellow agents fight for their lives in utter darkness.
Waiting in the tense silence that follows, Boris shrugs when noone seems to agree with the magus' fiery plan and moves in first, his torch leading the way through the fungus curtains.

You look please!" he says, gesturing emphatically towards the curtains of gods know what.
Boris shrugs as he takes the wand back, moving out of his stance above the downed mite. "Boris is fine with the dangerous door openings, but now is confused. Is us to make little creature conscious again and ask the questions? Or is not? Does not matter, but would like to know. Is to need ... consenting? Consensual? CONSENSUS! Yes, is to need consensus."
Grabbing the mite, he begins to drag the creature closer to the doorway as he grunts in Lissa's direction: "Just give Boris minute to ready for door; Boris have the feeled you going to open door very very fast if not hearing from anyone."
He drops the blue thing by the door and readies his sword. "Boris ready for talk and door opened. Is do anything!"

Boris lets his companions to act as appropriate, barely suppressing a smile at Dariusz' obvious flattery. Not time for smile Boris, is something of the insanity here. Plants is to do that. How? You look, maybe is sneaky and come to attack.

Boris nods back, draws his scimitar, drops his torch and opens the door a smidgen. He then picks the torch back up and, using the heel of his foot knocks the door back on it's hinges as gently as he can muster.
I don't want to give the impression that Boris is moving on ahead with his mediocre perception check, in spite of Volar and in the face of the group's safety, but I do wish to move things along. Please assume, unless I otherwise state it, that Boris never sets off on his own without having the rest of the party nearby.

Boris will wait for the rest of the group to move back, cracking his knuckles in anticipation. This time not to get the burn like in the Aram Zey test.

Boris scratches his head, pondering not the meaning of the runes, but how to translate them into common. He huffs, and decides that using only Common is not adequate enough right now, at least not for him to convey things clearly. And while most times it wouldn't stop him from trying, he agrees with Volar: this smells like a trap. And thus clarity trumps effort. Will to learn the other languages. he thinks darkly. Speaking in the tongue better.
Pointing them out each in turn, he speaks in a combination of Skald and common.
