"Good gear indeed!" Betzolte comments, turning over one of the battleaxes and admiring its craftsmanship. "Either the hag's supplying them well or these are older spoils of battle for them. They'll be much better served in our hands."

The night before

Emerald gives Betzolte a glare when she brings up the spiders.

"Just you wait, Betzolte. Dragons have long memories and I will remember this," she growls. "Maybe I'll convince some fey to steal all your left shoes and boots or one out of every pair of socks."

Betzolte chuckles a bit. "I'm complimenting you, Emerald!" she replies. "Guess I'll have to work on getting myself some cold-iron-toed boots!"

At the battle, she rumbles after Moon and Histya roaring a battle-cry.

Intimidate: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

"THE HEROES OF KASSEN ARE UPON YOU, GOBBOS! DROP YOUR WEAPONS AND YOU MAY LIVE TO SEE ANOTHER NIGHT!"

Betzolte joins the rest of the group in bathing and obliges Moon's request to clean her gear.

"See?" she comments to Emerald once they've settled in. "Those spiders weren't so bad. You looked them in their beady little eyes and they blinked!"

The next morning, she wolfs down her breakfast and bundles up, ready to set out herself when Nalka takes her leave.

"Good luck, Nalka. Grundinnar guide and protect you."

If any dwarf god would look kindly on a goblin, The Peacemaker surely would.

RIP Grundinnar. May your heroic sacrifice never be forgotten. (╥﹏╥)

She nods at Moon's assessment.

"We've aimed high, we've planned well, and the iron's hot. All that's left is to strike, Torag willin'!"

I have RETURNED from the fairy-tale kingdom of the southern lands (i.e. Florida), and shall begin catching up post-haste!

Betzolte surges forth from the hedge to strike at the spider, wordlessly roaring in anger!

Betzolte about-faces and stomps back into the passage to keep Maidie and Emerald from getting attacked from behind.

"HEY! YOU LITTLE WRETCHES! COME AND GET ME!!!" she bellows.

Not sure how to fit a 30 ft. movement when enlarged, but I assumed one square for 5 feet as normal, which I think puts me where I've placed myself.

Oh...I thought it was already dead. >w<

As the spider falls, Betzolte stomps on its cephalothorax to finish the job!

Betzolte grits her teeth as she tries to power through the weakness creeping into her arms.

She roars a mighty battle cry and hacks at the spider, seeing her other potential targets scatter.

RAGE!

Betzolte shudders as the venom saps her enhanced strength. :P

But she retaliates when the opportunity presents itself.

Then she attacks and tries to take the spider down so she can focus on the goblins.

Betzolte begins tromping into the heart of the camp.

"FEE-FI-FO-FUM!" she bellows. "I SMELL GOBLIN FEAR AND BLOOD!"

Surprise Action: Movement.

She casts her spell to conjure her mirror duplicates and then continues marching into the camp to prevent the troops and spider from ganging up on Erigga.

Standard: Cast mirror image, Move: Movement.

Betzolte tries her best to sneak, though it's much more difficult with much bigger feet.

Stealth: 1d20 + 5 + 0 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 0 = 19

Yet she moves with surprising grace for her size!

I think that'll be good.

Betzolte nods.

"Magic requires a different kind of concentration than battle-wrath, yes."

Betzolte frowns a bit.

"Loosed the bolt too soon, did I?" she rumbles.

Sorry for casting the spell before the discussion was done. D:

"I'll take it," Betzolte replies with a nod. "Unless someone else wants that protection."

She casts the spell to enlarge herself, growing into a small giantess and grunting a bit as her head scrapes against the canopy of thorns overhead.

Betzolte listens and nods, before turning back to Erigga who's talking to Maidie.

"Erigga? Maidie? Whatcha sayin'?"

Betzolte follows Erigga's instructions and goes.

Betzolte begins tromping through the snow to keep up with the others.

Betzolte shoulders her axe and looks to the less stealthy members.

"Wait for her to report back or follow at a distance? Don't want her to get in over her head..."

"Wanna make it a literal gamble, flip a coin?" Betzolte asks, tromping towards the rest of the group.

"I'M COMING FOR YE!" Betzolte bellows after the running goblin.

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

She tears after the wretch before the vines can re-ensnare her, catching up with the goblin.

Double Move to current location, but I spend all my round doing that so I can't actually attack.

Crit Confirm?: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Betzolte takes an opportunistic hack at the passing enemy!

Gonna wait to see if that takes the enemy down before I decide what to go after next.

Betzolte grunts and growls as she tries to break free from the vines.

I presume that indeed breaks free?

The vines pop and tear as her struggle is successful. Then she wheels about to hack at the goblin that dared approach her!

"OH NO YE DON'T!" she bellows as she tries to march towards the acolyte regardless, straining and pulling to rip herself free.

Betzolte barely has time to cry out in victory before the greenery regains its courage and wraps around her.

"GAK!" she grunts.

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

Betzolte, seeing the vines spring up, chops at them with her axe, its fairy-fire seeming to ward them off.

Then, she fixes the enemy spider rider in her gaze, lifts up her axe and rushes over to them, a wordless battle-cry roaring from her lips, her magically-lengthened arms swinging the axe through the air!

Move action to current position. Standard action, ATTACK!

I can't remember if the +2 was from the Inspire Courage or not. DERP!

Betzolte tromps up towards the spider on the flanks, chanting the spell to lengthen her arms so she can attack from a distance.

Move action to current position, standard to cast Longarm on myself.

"Come and get me you little ugly wretch on your big ugly webcrawler!" she bellows.

So, do we go to meet the enemy, or let them come to us? >:)

Betzolte, huffing and puffing as this skirmish ends, about-faces and hustles up to Emerald.

"Not to worry," she says. "I won't let them creepy-crawlies near ye!"

Then she hears Moon's comment and gets a huffy, annoyed look on her face, but says nothing.

Betzolte roars a battlecry as she hacks at the spider!

Betzolte takes a hand off her axe's handle and begins casting a spell. Almost immediately she grunts in discomfort as her bones crack and readjust in her arms, extending to a freakish length. Then she chokes up on her grip again. Longer arms meant she could strike from a position safer from those spiders' massive fangs.

Betzolte, having caught up with the group, hefts her axe into both hands and lowers into a ready stance.

Any position I should take in the gravel, or should I be OFF the gravel to let them come to us?

Betzolte tromps towards the remaining spider and its rider, her boots crunching over the gravel as she focuses her power into her axe anew.

Swift action, Arcane Strike. Move Action to get to spoid.

Then she hacks at it with a grunted roar!

Betzolte marches towards the one riding the spider on the flank and focuses her power into her axe, bringing it to bear against the mount to take the rider down faster.

Swift action to activate Arcane Strike, REALLY should have been using this sooner. Move action to current position, and standard action to attack.
