So I've got a player who is rebuilding his old wizard from 1e into 2e and he's having difficulty figuring out how to summon devils as that was his bread and butter in 1e. I see the Summon Fiend spell in 2e is for Divine casters but is there any way you can get a Wizard to have that spell or access to the ability to summon evil-aligned outsiders?

Devastation Ark will be out by then, so you can move right into that AP for endgame play! Glad to hear that it goes to 13! I'm still hoping one day we'll get a 1-20 Starfinder AP but the fact that we've got one that takes us into higher level gameplay is nice.

I was just doing some prep and looking through an old copy of the ROTRL I have and I noticed the side bar talking about Gray Dragons, the surviving brood of a weak and cursed platinum dragon that Dahak messed up. Just checked the wiki and searched the forums here to find anything else about them and I can't find anything. Does that mean these creatures are retconned? That would be a big shame because I love me some dragons and I really liked what they typed up for them.

I'm so happy to see some high level gameplay for Starfinder. Hopefully this adventure takes the party the rest of the way to 20. I know my group will probably never make it to finish the way to max level but I know just having the option there makes them much more excited and willing to jump into the game.
Everyone liked that.

This is so good! I'm so happy to see this level of content for the Starfinder system. I really really enjoy the different Weal and Woe sections!

Fillable would be absolutely fantastic. This would mean I could work on characters in my downtime at work lol.

Anyone else think the person on the cover is an interesting choice? I mean usually Paizo puts the villain of the book on the cover, which would mean that this Lashunta is a follower of Iomedae from what I can tell? Interesting...
Any news if this book contains new creatures from the Swarm?

What does this even mean? He doesn't want the adventure to bite off the plot from games such as Dead Space or Doom, or so I assume. Personally, I don't think we have anything to worry about that. Paizo are such great story tellers that even if there are similarities, the end product will be something completely unique to the Starfinder setting.

Better late than never I guess.
Yes and no. While yes, it would have been great to have a starting box from the get go, they also had to create the game before hand. Putting all of the rules and what not together in one book was a mythic task in itself, and then they had to gauge the customer reaction to the product to see if it warranted such a product. I assume Paizo sees Starfinder as a selling good-enough selling product to spend the time and energy on a starter box now, as well as upping their production times with more releases this up coming year. I get your point, but I also believe the Pathfinder beginner box didn't come out with the first edition of Pathfinder and came along much later.

Ugh. This is one adventure path that I'm dying to get my hands on read through, but this is one that I desperately want to play though so I don't want to spoil it for myself!

I'm so excited for this adventure path. I can't wait to play some sort of Heavy Weapons soldier, shouting "WOLVERINES" as I shoot up Azlanti dudes like Storm Troopers.

Between Act 1 and Act 2 of Book 1 is a really good place to insert SFS 1-01 The Commencement. I did it in my game and I recommend it. It really helps flesh out the PC's becoming Starfinders and makes it seem less "You're starfinders now, this has no actual effect or bonus or bearing on anything."

I wouldn't mind paying a subscription at all if it wasn't for the fact that it could possibly be a online-only thing now. While I see why they're doing it, it defeats the purpose for many people out there who use the program in less-than-ideal locations. If you're not at your house or a friends that has a good wifi connection, this program is now useless and you're wasting money using it. Games stores don't always offer free-wifi to its visitors, and conventions or other public locations have either horrible connections or none at all.
It doesn't seem like a smart move for them to switch to an online only system, at least from my perspective as Herolab user. Depending on what information comes out, I can't promise I'll continue to use the software.

Trail of the Hunted says a lot about how much time they're going to spend in the Fang Wood - like the crazy storm that thrashes your camp if you're not already moved into the Trog Cave. My question is, what's a good way to keep track of time but also a good way to drag out the time they spend in the woods so they do all of the events? I'm thinking of limiting my players to 3 excursions a week, the rest will be spent maintaining their gear, healing, tending to the refugees, and maintaining the militia. Any suggestions?

I second the Starship Troopers / Heavy Military service campaign. I've wanted to run one of those for so long but I'd much rather see Paizo's masterful take on it.

I hate to make a separate post from my Troop Template one, but I'm also really confused on the militia system in general. How do you track the number of people in your militia? Do all the rescued refugees get added into your militia's pool, and do you keep track of each individual in your militia like the book suggests?
Like if you're ranking up a refugee cause they leveled up or what ever, do you keep track of that for your militia or do you just track it for the APs weird refugee system that has no outline?

This is awesome! My favorite Iconic yet. I wonder if actual dragons use these hookahs...
I've already had a long planned out encounter that involves the PCs running across a Jaba the Hutt style Dragon - Obeese, obscenely wealthy, surrounded by ruffians to do his bidding. Taking huge breaths of hookah and laying on his side on a floating platform suspended in the air by hover technology. "Bring me Iseph and the Vesk!"

There are so many cool things in this post! Vesk-2 and Vesk-6! Military Meritocracy! Nose Hookahs, brain snails, and heavy bass music! This is my favorite Iconic by far, and I absolutely am in love with the Vesk culture so far.

All this makes me wonder... If there is a market for bodies and body parts of humanoids for Eox and black market deals, does that mean that there would be chop shops for Androids? Imagine an android walking through a black market of chopped up robots and androids where the market stalls have like android arms and legs strung up for display!

That's the thing though. Nothing is forcing you to run an adventure on Castrovel, and even if you did run an adventure on Castrovel nothing is making you force your players into a "These Lashunta believe that warrior roles are a male's job!". Unless those words exit your lips as a DM, or the player makes point to note that -some- and not -all- Lashunta hold these views, than it doesn't have to come up at all. It's fluff for the sake of giving what was a relatively bland and lacking race some depth.

So we're getting updated states for elves, dwarves, gnomes, halflings, half-orcs, and ratfolk then? Will the Alien Archive feature any of the other Pathfinder races (aka Aasimar, Tieflings, Suli, Catfolk, etc etc)? Oh I'd really like to see Space Tieflings.

Almost 100% sure the contemplatives will be in the First Contact book, or atleast the Alien Archive.
Edit: Yeah, the second bullet on the First Contact book. "Player-race information to let you be the alien, from the atrophied psychic creatures called contemplatives to the bug-like haan who float across gas giants on balloons of spun webbing."

I know we've got the first one announced. Ancient weapon that could destroy planets, Jedi - I mean Elven temples, and who knows else what that adventure path has in store for us. You know what I really want though? Give me some of that Starship Troopers. As cliche as it is, I'd love for a space war against the swarm! I know it's been done to death, but it's a cliche for a reason! What are some other themes or things you'd like see in upcoming Adventure Paths?
