Here we go! I tried this little guy in another game, but didn't make the cut. Maybe his luck will turn around here!

Meet Arnnak the Blue, a kobold master of many styles looking for his caretaker and adoptive mother, Haleen. Thanks to a talking omniscient crow.

...hey, at least it's somewhat unique!

Aw biscuits... Oh well, you win some, you lose some. And I'm glad it was to really good apps like these.

See you in the Stolen Lands!

I'm fine with that. It culls the weak! And gives me a better chance! Victory by default is still a victory!

Agreed. I keep apping to these games, but I never can seem to get the luck to make it. Here's hoping my luck turns around.

...and also to luring monsters into bandit camps and watching the ensuing chaos.

Don't recall if we need these questions answers, but I'll go ahead and post them. Predominantly in his voice, just to get into character. :3

"Why should the swordlords trust you with this important job?"

Spoiler:
"...why would you not? Have you been out there? Actually, let me answer that: no. You haven't. If you have, your nobles wouldn't let their hatchlings wander off like the one who fell into my trap. And I promise, veeeeeeery few things would've had the generosity to free her and take her back, like I did. I'm doing you a favor here... you need someone who know the land like I do... or you won't make it anywhere."

"How do you plan to set up a new nation and establish the trust and loyalty of the people?"

Spoiler:
"The first thing you'll need is a good den, well defended, well guarded, and trapped up the yin yang... whatever that is. I heard some bandit use that phrase. You won't be getting anything done without some protection. Use the wildlife to your advantage; you'll find plenty of things are willing to cooperate if you offer them the right compensation. I've befriended plenty of bears by offering them my rabbit dinner."

"What sorts of religious and legal strictures do you think should be part of a new nation?"

Spoiler:
"Does it matter? Everyone will think and say what they want anyways, why enforce it? What matters is they don't act out - as long as everyone is cooperating and not planning a coup, there's not point in telling them who to kneel in front off. I'd prefer that be me, but that'll come with taking care of our enemies."

"Do you have particular plans and goals? Why should the swordlords support those goals?"

Spoiler:
"...profit? Why else would you start a kingdom? Presumably, so you can be the one wearing the crown for a change. I suppose it would be nice for my kind to have a place to call home, but I know how you humans freak out over us. Perhaps some part where we can stay out of the way and do our work..."

"Do you have a criminal background? Is there anything we should know now that might cause problems later in your political future if it were to get out to the public?"

Spoiler:
"Does stealing from bandits count? I didn't bother trying to return anything I took from them... mostly because they were probably dead. I've tried raiding once or twice... didn't go over very well. I decided to stick with stealing from other brigands. They do it better and they're away constantly. I admit, I'll miss that pastime... luring bears and other creatures into their camps while they were gone. Hehe, one time, they came back, two wolves decided to take a nap in the tent. One of the guys came back, heads for the tent... next thing you know, he's screaming bloody murder as they maul him to shreds! You should've seen his face... I mean, before they ate it, but it was hilarious while it lasted!"

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Your search for a rogue is (kinda) over! I've finally gotten off my lazy duff and finished my app, which has notably undergone a few tweaks to make him fit a little better.

Introducing Razzik the Hunter, a kobold Deep Walker/Trapper ranger from the Stolen Lands who has decided that the prospect of being a ruler is much more profitable than a simple brigand who spends his free time luring bears and magical monsters into bandit camps and stealing their stuff (although the latter is undeniably hilarious!)
