She revises her mental opinion of the paladin. Cute...but not too bright.

”Well, House Thrune has been no friend of mine. I say take ‘em out. And if you want a hand, speak up.”

Anastasia places her hands on her hips, ready to follow Zarta if she asks.

”I don’t know if it will work, but I can speak to the dead. Should we try it?”

Anastasia feels a little embarrassed, she had forgotten about the gem entirely. To be fair, she -was- distracted by a devil trying to kill her, so maybe it was understandable.

Kudos for running a very complex adventure. You, and the other players, kept it intelligible, which is no small feat.

This was absolutely the right choice for PbP. I feel like in a 4hr slot, this would have been less fun.

Anastasia smiles. ”Have some faith, Stan. They’ll come through.”

She hoped Gilgrim would be able to finish Leventi off. He seemed more...practical.

“Stan, can you make sure he -stays- down?” asks Anastasia, who stands ready with her dispel in case there are shenanigans.

Man, alternating haste and slow effects would -have- to be a rough experience.

Anastasia gritted her teeth. Everything still hurt, but the haste spell was still active, and she took advantage to move to the side. Spreading out always helps against area attacks

She was tired of Leventi, he was clearly a terrible person. Well, a devil, really. And not even popular with other devils, which was about as low as you could get she supposed.

She chanted the words to dispel magic, thinking it likely Leventi had something going.

She waits to see if anyone has a useful suggestion.

She considers her options, and decides for the one that’s always helpful, healing her comrades.

How do the scrolls around Leventi work? Are they a possession that can be sundered or stolen? Or are they a magical effect that could get dispelled? Or something else?

Head cloudy from the pain. Anastasia produces a wand from her bag and casts bless on the group.

Bless fills your allies with courage. Each ally gains a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and on saving throws against fear effects.

So, the bonus to attacks will stack with inspire courage.

Anastasia steps forward (near the very handsome Stan) and casts a piercing reach bestow curse on the devil.

”You have been very bad. It’s time someone did something! she says as she gestures toward the devil

Something. Invisible dude, statues, guy hanging out in fire pit....

Well, the most interesting adventures require you to make choices. This is the best part of this adventure, as far as I’m concerned.

Possible Options I see:

1) we pick one of Leventi’s options
2) we attempt to write a better contract, that gets us what we want
3) we lie to him, get the soul and then give him a beating

”Fine.” says Anastasia, rolling her eyes.

She casts a few spells on the group, eager to help if it means getting this fight started.

Anastasia first looks at this monster through her deathwatch lenses, hoping for a clue to its strange appearance.

”Honestly, I’ve lost track of who hates whom, sorry.”

Anastasia tries to help look for books, but keeps getting interrupted as she notices the next , more interesting thing. The best that can be said for her efforts is that she doesn't make it worse.

Anastasia drinks an antitoxin once in the original room.

Anastasia moves through the scroll, and reels from the mystic forces that hit her.

If able, she will remove a scroll of delay poison and cast it upon herself.

Unsure what the others have seen, Anastasia throws a small bone down the street. When it lands, it grows into a wall of bones .

She then moves south to grab some cover until she has a clearer sense of what is happening.

Anastasia grabs the scroll of mass bear’s endurance, and nods in agreement.

”let’s do this.”

Listening to Morgoth, Anastasia’s eyes open wide. ”If someone sold my soul, I would be really, REALLY mad. Let’s go!

She then follows the group, not having a clear sense of exactly -where- they should go, but eager to help.

Are we missing a word? I can’t tell if the shaitan wants us to stay or for all of us to leave?

”Can you ask if people are trustworthy? That’s a yes/no question.”

Anastasia looks through her pockets, but she doesn’t seem to have taken Vina’s notes.

”So, you agree that bending the rules is useful sometimes then? raising an eyebrow at the overly legalistic Hellknights. She was honestly curious to see if they had learned anything.
