Venice by Night - Monday April 7, 1309 Lord Bion's Lair There is a history... a narrative in my head, Lord Bion. I welcome you to glean it... so that you may come to your own assessment. I trust your judgement more than my own on the matter. And, yes. Well put regarding Princeships. Alessandro is doing his best not to rat out Xing. If Bion reads his mind and gets the Lanta story and realizes the source... He probably also understands Alessandro's discretion or desire for such, honor, confidence, etc...

Venice by Night - Monday April 7, 1309 Lord Bion's Lair Alessandro raises a brow at his friend, then smiles. Nearly... Lord Alexander's shared plan includes his presiding over Venice for the short term to offer a strong leader, minimizing chaos and ceding power when it is time to leave our beloved city. He seeks a Lasombra Senechal and I believe from among the Triumverate. He does not seem to want overthrow of Clan Lasombra in Venice. But, that is only my novice understanding of the situation. His stated and ultimate desire being to return to Paris, no secret that. Lord Alexander's true motivation for anything he says... only for him to know. Though he is bold enough to speak the truth, the devil may care. As to my claims... Lantla, Gottsdam, I merely share information I've come across in the hopes of preventing further disaster to our kind and the mortals with whom we share Venice. He bows to both Loranzo and Bion, slightly deeper to the latter.

Venice by Night - Monday April 7, 1309 the Lido Alexander's Haven Storyteller Shadow only: Accepting the memories, Thank you. As you know I am new to this... world. And, even as Narses was assaulted I was on a water borne vessel. I truly know little of fact. However I do consider myself a decent judge of character? Magdalena I know the least of, but she seems less... diplomatic. And, it would seem diplomacy is the order of the day if your plan is to be enacted with minimal losses on any and all sides. Alejandro seems the most self-serving and is related to the ancient Lantla's business in some manner. I am not saying he's a conspirator but, he and his one-time coterie may have information. Xing doesn't know much of the scrolls themselves, their contents. Valdemar seems the most even keel, as it were. Patient enough to understand before acting and choosing a proper or agreeable path to those involved. One could say this makes him the most dangerous, but appealing to his logic helps. Also, that gains you Uwe, as well. I would offer my own services as Senechal or Justicar but, I am aware of my lack of experience - pure years and power. I have tried to make inroads with the Nosferatu. I knew nothing of the Camarilla and yet, before that I tried to unite clans for peace. Consider my social currency yours. But, although you may obviously do with it what you will... I would hope it is not so opposed to my own nature. I will boldly ask one thing... ...assuming I survive the nights to come and am reunited with Alyssa my sire or any in my line. If I serve you well, please put in a good word... I do not know the punishment I face for returning to Venice. That is as little as I know, Prince Alexander.

Venice by Night - Monday April 7, 1309 the Lido Alexander's Haven Storyteller Shadow only: Does Alessandro actually know anything? Magdelena he met once or twice, seems too direct. Alejandro seems shifty and is related to the Lanta debacle/threat (in some manner) and Valdemar seems the most even keel and was actually selected as Senechal. Isn't there also Savio and the Childer from Padua? Intelligence + Politics, vetting the triumvirate: 3d10 + 3d10 ⇒ (8, 4, 8) + (9, 1, 4) = 34

Venice by Night - Monday April 7, 1309 the Lido Alexander's Haven Alessandro tried to put a timeline together. As we considered the threat of the younger Cainites reveling against the Elders and the threat of the Hunters, we considered all possibilities and connections to current events but the least of which, the death of Narses. I'm relatively certain we've all heard the words. I am the only one stupid enough to speak the name openly. Whether this... approach is related to Narses' end, I can not confirm. Are the tales true, Prince Alexander? These ante-deluvians? Perhaps a time to seek allies rather than create enemies. A prolonged war would devastate Venice. I am young, inexperienced and my unsolicited advice may be trite but, there or is. Forgive me.

Venice by Night - Monday April 7, 1309 the Lido Alexander's Haven Your intent seems sounds. I suppose that is the Ventrue in me speaking. But, perhaps I was unclear. An ancient female approaches, possibly with our kind's destruction in mind. Is she an ally of yours? He shoots the Lasombra present a sharp look.

Venice by Night - Monday April 7, 1309 the Lido Alexander's Haven Looking around, Alessandro decides... final death will come one way or another. My... Prince. I can only assume you take the helm from a position of true strength and not because you await reinforcements. You have need of none. Perhaps, an unasked question.

Venice by Night - Monday April 7, 1309 the Lido Alexander's Haven Slowly and cautiously, Alessandro announces himself to the best of his ability. Alessandro Khadaji. Childe of Alyssa Fitz Gilbert. Childe of Vander Fitz Gilbert. Childe of Raoul Snake-Eyes. Childe of Medon. Childe of Ventru.... Prince Alexander.

Generation wise, what's the relationship between Alexander and say... Mithras, Narses (and my deduction his perspective Prince Childer) and our most powerful/lowest generation coterie member? Maybe a crazy question, but for me it kind of fills out the gravity of the situation.

Venice by Night - Monday April 7, 1309 the Lido Alexander's Haven Alessandro understands he is the... least of this coterie. He also understands that it does not diminish him as an individual. But, for formality's sake he is not first. Politely, he waits. His mind gently tugs at him, something about this place and Franz. If it were possible, he imagines remembering the boy-god. Ventrue...

I'm just asking for spells known in a spell book. Not scrolls to cast from. Buying then simulated having found them in scrolls or looted spellbooks, during their career. Paying something is equivalent to cost on non-spellcasters' having gear. I mean, I do have Scribe Scroll for scrolls.

Thank you all! Question: As I may be the only one not familiar with the AP... is the game dependent on us not being able to "plane travel" or should a wizard (I) try to acquire the ability to Plane Shift? As an Arcane Discovery, a wizard can take Improved Plane Shift which makes Plane Shift a 5th level spell for them (instead of 7th). Given the backstory, could make sense... thoughts?

Not looking to tangle things up, but looks like it kinda works with Marcus's idea, as well? Pasha/Grand Vizier...

Thanks, Boss. Confirming 108,000 gp. Or asking what the number is. Working the character out in HeroLab (easier for me), once complete or nearly will reformat per requirements. Void Wizard is from the Dragon Kingdoms, so since I wanted a kusari-gama (kusarigama) figured from Minkai. I guess the weapon could be Chinese and not Japanese analogous. I'm thinking some event happened that sent her on a planar road trip to hunt down a bad actor. Somehow will fit... Exotic Weapon Proficiency
And yes, I took Fire as the forbidden element. LOL. Guessing the bag actor was fire related. Possibly used fire to hurt/kill/destroy and so she couldn't bring herself to use it. Doesn't want to become the monster she is hunting. Any pointers on AC so she doesn't die, would be great.

I know I'm the only Wizard... is crafting >>> used on a bonded item (wizard class ability/feature) an exception to the 10% WLB limit (and the tossing into general loot)? It's an item only usable by the Wizard. Wizard Bonded Item & Crafting:
A wizard can add additional magic abilities to his bonded object as if he has the required Item Creation Feats and if he meets the level prerequisites of the feat.
For example, a wizard with a bonded dagger must be at least 5th level to add magic abilities to the dagger (see Craft Magic Arms and Armor feat). If the bonded object is a wand, it loses its wand abilities when its last charge is consumed, but it is not destroyed and it retains all of its bonded object properties and can be used to craft a new wand. The magic properties of a bonded object, including any magic abilities added to the object, only function for the wizard who owns it. If a bonded object’s owner dies, or the item is replaced, the object reverts to being an ordinary masterwork item of the appropriate type. ---------------------------------- Also, can we craft funky stuff or only standard items in the PRD? Hit Points, Wizard Levels 2-12: 11d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 5, 5, 4, 2, 6, 6, 4, 5, 2) = 45

Let's assume Wizard (mostly)... a particular direction? That question is open to all. DM & Players. I'll place my spin/stamp of personality on the character, just curious what folks would like to see synergistically. It would be total badazz if we had a wizard that could...
Are you OK with the kusari-gama being a finesse weapon as with Wizards DMG Errata? I'd like to build some sort of tripping monk with a splash of uRogue. DMG Errata, kusari-gama:
p. 161, col. 2: (INSERT As a Large, Exotic weapon) Kusari-gama*† 10 gp 1d6/1d4 x2 — 3 lb. Slashing/Bludgeoning Kusari-gama: A kusari-gama can be used either as a double weapon or as a reach weapon. You can fight with it as if fighting with two weapons, incurring all the normal attack penalties as if using a one-handed weapon and a light weapon. In this case, you can only strike at an adjacent opponent. If you use the kusari-gama as a reach weapon, you can strike opponents 10 feet away with it. In addition, unlike other weapons with reach, you can use it against an adjacent foe. In this case, you can only use one end of the kusari-gama effectively; you cannot use it as a double weapon. You can choose which end of the kusarigama to use. The kama end deals 1d6 points of damage and is a slashing weapon; the chain end deals 1d4 points of damage and is a bludgeoning weapon. You can make trip attacks with a kusari-gama. If you are tripped during your own trip attempt, you can drop the kusari-gama to avoid being tripped. When using a kusari-gama, you get a +2 bonus on your opposed attack roll when attempting to disarm an opponent (including the roll to avoid being disarmed if you fail to disarm your opponent). You can use the Weapon Finesse feat to apply your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier to attack rolls with a kusari-gama.
I had searched for: Dungeon Master Guide errata kusarigama Is VMC acceptable? And what's all that stuff about bonus Feats and such?
