Glad to see more from Mr. Greenwood. I do miss the Elminster's / Volo's Guides from the back of Dragon Magazine. While I was never a Forgotten Realms player, Greenwood's eye for detail helped make a game world come alive. While I wish he'd do more world design for Golarion, I am pleased as punch that he's taking a crack at Alkenstar.
Also, Mr. Greenword: Nice reference to Zelazny, one of the all-time greats. "Guns of Alkenstar", indeed.

"Guns of Alkenstar" part one of six... FANTASTIC!
I'm glad Ed Greenwood has stayed around to play in Golarion more. His work with the Kingmaker Adventure Path was great.
Ahem! - Any chance that Ed Greenwood is also on a list of authors for a full length Pathfinder Tales novel? - (James Sutter did say this kind of questioning/request works).
I'm really enjoying this peek at the Grand Duchy of Alkenstar/Mana Wastes. An entire novel would be FULL of AWESOME... especially if penned/typed by Ed Greenwood.
More, more, more... please & thank you. :)

Urizen wrote:Damnit! Will this convince someone to make Alkenstar more prominent in Golarion than just a by-mention in an upcoming Mana Wastes accompaniment?Only one way to do that, Friend Urizen- read it and get as many other people to read it as possible!!!! ALKENSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!!!!
Oh, that's just the tip of the iceberg. Let's just say it'll be more than just Bothan spies dying to get the plans in the proper hands.

YES! Ed Greenwood writes Alkenstar! Hip hip HURRAY!
Yeah, this rocks!
Huzzah! Alkenstar! It's probably my favorite region of Golarion, with the possible exception of Nymeria or the River Kingdoms.Ed Greenwood is very good at using little background details to build a sense of versimilitude and depth in the fantasy setting. I haven't read any of his novels, but his FR articles in Dragon were always quite good in this respect.
I really like the gunhunters and shieldmarshals.
