At least by Ropecon PFS will restart in Finland. Many will rejoice etc!
And I know Humon depicts all Finns are murderous mutes, but judging by the former and constant boardtalk we're anything but mute!
That was one of the reasons the circles died; no sure place to play. It was always at someone's home or a semi-public "kerhotila" (society room? heck if I know).
Rumors of possibly holding some games at some game shops loom overhead, but those are just rumors. For now we have to stick to GM's homes.
How about Fantasiapelit? Here in Oulu they've been pretty cooperative with different groups organizing games in their basement.

Fantasiapelit in Helsinki does not have a gaming space. We did play some games in the last one they had, but the rent was too high and they had to shut it down.
Another possibility would be trying to get contacts with a university gaming club, such as Alter Ego, or ORC.
Actually, now that I think of it, a friend of mine is in the Alter Ego steering board and is interested in PFS.

To the Netherland organizers
I'm just looking at the warhorn page and it looks like you play Shipyard Rats in Utrecht. Is this confirmed? I have an interested player from the UK who is visiting his mother in Utrecht that week. But he played the Shipyard Rats with me as GM. In this case I should give him a warning or redirect him to Leiden.
He hasn't played number 24 and I might have to reconsider if I GM Silent Tide next week in my home game. Might be an opportunity to send him to the game to get him to GM it. He wasn't keen on Leiden earlier today - but I could try to nudge him a little bit.

If you're friend is joining us, I think I'll have to open another table. That would mean that we should be able to run another game. Could you let me know (by email or in this thread) what his plans are?
I will check it out and let you know. I phoned him earlier to tell him the date and place. At that time I hadn't seen the website to register. I think I've seen your email somewhere - but would help if you tell me where to look.
Probably best if he emails you directly. Anyhow - I will update you.

Hmm... If you have any time for sight-seeing over there and are interested in things Roman, there are some ruins and a museum on the hill next to the Basilica if I recall correctly. Or there's a more extensive Roman site (not sure if they had a museum though) just down the Rhone valley at Vienne.
I was on a family holiday thereabouts some years ago...
