Lot of good applicants so far and we are only a few days in.
My applicant round up looks like this:
- Supreveio Taepung Snowtale Kitsune Monk
- Ira Kroll Hyuntaro Human(dhampir) Alchemist
- Scranford Silent Magni Human Witch
- Aeshuura Feng Xi Human Monk
- Blake's Tiger Long Zhi Xin Human/Samsaran Investigator
- Tarondor Xu Jiang Human Cleric
- rainzax Ghul Elf(Dhampir) Champion(redeemer)
- Thaumscourge Sacred Nagaji Inventor/Animist/Thaumturge
- axolotl Shieh Mó-Zhǐ human rogue
Let me know what other questions folks have about character creation, Tarondor I saw you chose a house and heirloom already which is good to think about. If I end up going with 5 players I'll have to add a 5th heirloom option probably.

Well, regardless of which class my character is, she'd live around the area between W19 and W20 in the North. It's a nice place, it's near the Second Best and the Mother's Coil and sometimes she'd go down to the nearby river and dip her tail in during the hot summer months.
Her heirloom would be the 2 minor healing potions and the 2 GP adventuring item. If possible, I'd like to decide on what it is later after I've picked what class my PC is. Depending on my class, this item would be anything from a formula book to a climbing kit.

Idea I got is a tengu cleric of Tsukiyo-though I might have to go with warpriest if I wanna gun for katana with tengu weapon familiarity. This is my first time making a character for 2E, but I’ll figure something out.
Edit: Everything for Tsukiyo seems to be Legacy only. I’m making the tengu a monk, feels like that’ll be a little easier for me.

Axolotl |

Wait..Tarondor's on here? o.0 I just read through Tarondor's guide to the Remastered Rogue for a few tips and have read many a guide over the years.
Thematically, Ink should grab the predictable silver coin and oil of potency, although the alarm snare and ghost charges are nice. To be fair, Ink will go for the predictable silver coin.
The Shieh family live in two houses between Dawnstep Bridge and the Industrial District. Ink is a Southbanker through and through, although he greatly enjoys exploring the Northridge (and works over there).

Tsukiyo is a fun deity to follow, both lore wise and mechanically. I'm pretty sure he's been remastered though since Tian Xiao: World Guide.

It would be cool to get a monk flurrying with a spear or a warpriest of Tsukiyo.

Check out the Lost Omens Divine Mysteries Web Supplement, Ano KoolKobold. It's got all the gods remastered. Pretty sure Tsukiyo is on there, considering it's got relatively minor deities like the Harbingers, Ushers, etc.
I'll probably sit this one out. I was tempted to dip into more 1e flavor shenanigans since this is 100 years in the past. I still might draft up an Alchemist with a Wizard dedication.

Is there anything about the geography of Willowshore? I’m thinking that my character is a sort of outsider who moved in from another location. I do have Tian Xia World Guide I’ll have to look into that more tomorrow.
The Season of Ghosts Player’s Guide has a pretty good map of the environs…page 16 for Willowshore, and page 23 for the surrounding areas…

Wait I just saw the free archetype thing. So that means we automatically select an archetype at character creation?
You get a free feat slot to use on archetype only feats at 2, 4, 6 etc so you don't need to choose an archetype at level one, though it would be prudent to decide what archetype you want to take at 2.

KoolKobold |

I see. So I can absolutely go for a cleric of Tsukiyo who ends up learning some monk abilities. I might go with that. Or do the reverse so that my character isn’t stuck in combat.
EDIT: Actually…is it okay if I take that free archetype for Blessed One instead? It would fit more with the character idea I want to do.

It looks like you're looking at a cleric that smacks people with a sword, yeah? In that case, you want to go with Warpriest, as a Cloistered cleric simply isn't going to be able to hit anything with a weapon. To get Flurry with a weapon as a cleric with monk archetype, you would need Monk Dedication at level 2, and at level 4 and 6 you need Basic Kata >> Monastic Weaponry as well as the Flurry feat, it doesn't really matter what order you take them, though it would probably be better to do Flurry at 4 and Monastic Weaponry at 6. It's important to note that Flurry VIA monk dedication has a 1d4 round cooldown between uses, so you won't be flurrying every turn.
Unfortunately the katana is not actually a monk weapon in 2e so you cannot Flurry of Blows with it, unless GM Cody decides it is a monk weapon. The Item section HERE shows all the weapons with the Monk trait that would be available for Flurrying.
Keep in mind that the Warpriest is still a FULL caster, you'll have quite a lot of spells as you level up. If you're not so interested in having tons of spell slots and mostly wanna hit stuff, it may be better to go Monk as your base class and pick up some cleric stuff via Free Archetype instead. Monk is a very strong martial class in 2e, doesn't struggle nearly as much as the 1e monk. The Warpriest Cleric is more of a "Attack once per round, use your other two actions to do other things" class. Not really a "Full Attacker", if that's what you're looking for.
Edit: Blessed One is a strong archetype.

Blake's Tiger |

the Flurry feat, it doesn't really matter what order you take them, though it would probably be better to do Flurry at 4
The monk multuclass archetype feat that grants Flurry of Blows is a 10th level feat. Keep in mind that you will not be 10th level until the 4th and final book of the adventure.

Blake's Tiger |

Tentative Investigator Build for Long Zhi Xin
Subject to change and, as mentioned, I'm flexible with the class depending on party needs.

Assembler |

I have several Tian Xia-related character concepts that I could use for this, and we could use more non-divine casters in the application pool, but my favorite one is highly tied to the Phoenix Sorceror bloodline, which has two issues. First, it's uncommon, so I have to ask GM Cody if he'll allow it. Secondly, its 4th-rank Sorcerous Gift spell is Remove Curse, which was folded into the 2nd-rank Cleanse Affliction in the Remaster, so that'd need to be changed. If that doesn't work out, I can go with a Civic Wizard instead.

GM Cody |

Sure, if you want to build a pheonix sorcerer that'd be fine, I'm pretty open to allowing uncommon stuff. If you end up getting chosen We could replace the remove curse 4th level spell with the, at least, thematically linked spell Phoenix Ward spell.
It doesn't do the same thing, but it at least fits the bloodline.

Axolotl |

Spirit of the Blade is a rad Level 6 Feat, which makes up for the iffy Level 4 feats for Spirit Warrior (or maybe one will reveal itself to be useful and apropos)
plus, your character can say to a spirit "while you mouldered in the cemetery, I Studied The Blade.™"
Also, Phoenix Sorcerer is such a lovely healer-blaster.

Ayumi Nekato |

Hi! Im submitting my Catfolk Barbarian, Ayumi Pathbuilder link Nekato , she is a southbank traditionalist who grew up on her families farm between W7 and W8 on the players guide map.
She is a clawed catfolk that uses a tetsubo as her main weapon. She helps out on the family farm where they grow grain that gets milled at the Milling Houses at W8. When she is not at the farm she likes to wander into town and meet up with friends for a good bite to eat and drink. Growing up her older siblings and cousins would sit around telling ghost stories and she "aint afraid of no ghosts"...or is she?

Triskei Mijun |

This is KoolKobold, submitting my Tengu Monk, Triskei Mijun
His home will be situated in downtown Willowshore, mostly around W17 (though that can be changed if another player lives there). His family are devout worshippers of Tsukiyo, and come from a long line of tengu monks who live to help others. Triskei (TRY-skAY) himself has a bit of a cheerful personality, and while he's no true scholar, he is a major bookworm and loves to read a book during tea time. His particular subject of interest involve the occult-mainly involving spirits. His one flaw is that, unfortunately, he's a little on the superstitious side, and does everything in his power to avoid bad luck.

Everyone's builds look good so far in my opinion, but I'd like to offer some feedback since you've said this is your first time building a character in 2e.
I know this isn't a very combat heavy campaign and so you don't need to optimise, but I think you'd have more fun if your Key Ability Score (KAS) was a +4. For a monk, this would be Strength or Dexterity. You'd have the highest chance of hitting the enemy and doing cool skill checks with a maxed out KAS.
Given that you've expressed interest in being a Cleric, you'd need to keep a +2 in Wis to qualify for that archetype by level 2. I think you could take the following 2 stat distribution paths to qualify.
Dex focused build
Dex, Wis
Str, Dex
KAS Dex
Dex, Int, Wis, Con
Total: Str +1, Dex +4, Con +1, Wis +2, Int +1, Cha + 0
Str focused build
Str, Wis
Str, Dex
KAS Str
Str, Con, Wis, Dex
Total: Str +4, Dex +2, Con +1, Wis +2, Int +0, Cha + 0
Also, technically Northbridge Scholar only grants Lore: Academia, not Lore: Tsukiyo. If you want to be trained in Tsukiyo lore from Level 1, you can use a skill point to give yourself training in it and then at Level 2, take the Additional Lore skill feat to give yourself a scaling Lore feat.
Hope this helps. I do like your character concept.

KoolKobold |

I actually was gunning more for the blessed one archetype but if not I'll go with the cleric multiclass archetype. I also chose Lore: Tsukiyo because my Monk class already gave me Lore: Academia, it looks like at least.
Is this any better?

Fair enough on the archetype and the lore. Seems like I got the Lore wrong, it is pretty powerful to get any scaling Lore you want for free from level 1.
Blessed One scales off Charisma. You don't have to invest into Charisma if all you want to do is to heal hit points with the archetype. It only really matters for counteracting conditions with Mercy.
Cleric multi class archetype can be really good, especially for Monks if you also take QI spells.
I think your build is pretty good. Looking forward to playing with you if we get chosen. Don't forget to consider your heirloom and that you need a crowbar to Force Open objects without a penalty.
Edit: Mountain keeper's cantrip also scales off your Charisma, so it might not be as effective as an offensive spell without investment.

Just dotting in to let you know a character is coming.
Follower of Lady Jingxi, definitely taking the Fan Dancer Archetype.
Probably a rogue mechanically. Would you allow the Avenger Archetype on a rogue? I like the flavor and on a follower of Lady Jingxi it doesn't seem too powerful (the favored weapon is already a rogue weapon).
But bard is also, of course, very tempting :-)

Supreveio |

Character update for Taepung
For the heirloom, I'd go with the predictable silver piece and oil of potency.

Yeah a rogue avenger is fine, basically 2e's version of the inquisitor, I believe. Works out well with free archetype, since you have to choose avenger as an archetype at level 2, this way you aren't losing out on a 2nd level class feat.

Born in 7080, Shun Peng was raised by his single mother Shun Xula for the first decade of his life in the Northridge section of Willowshore. She taught him to read with the damaged books that had once belonged to her father. They were coverless and missing the first few pages in each book, but they were the only thing she had that once belonged to him. She worked in the Cerulean Teahouse during this time. Peng's mother was born in 7062, two months after the "Night of the Broken Blade". Her father, nicknamed "Sze" was one of the loggers who came back to the village as an undead. When she was sixteen she began working in an estate, as a common servant. Sweeping, doing laundry, and scrubbing floors. About a year and a half later she was pregnant and required to find new employment. Qing Mai-Lai provided a job and room in the servants quarters.
Eventually, she married a farmer in the Southbank area of Willowshore and had four additional children. Pin Kuomei was a good stepfather and encouraged Peng to continue his education and prepare for the civil servant exams. Peng preferred living in Northridge.
Early in 7106, Tsan Peng left Willowshore to take the civil servant exams for Imperial Lung Wa. After years of studying the works of Pao-Lung and other classic philosophers in his slightly damaged books, he felt confident in his ability to not bring shame upon himself and family if he failed. To get to Sze, Peng had to travel through the Specterwood. He was careful of bandits and specters. He prayed at shrines for a safe journey. Each night he found a place to camp not visible from the road. One night, he awoke to the sounds of yelling.

Eletido |

 Submitting Phang Kwan, Human Champion of Shizuru.
Note: Like many of Tian-Shu descent, character's name is surname first. Phang is the family name and Kwan is his given name.
Kwan and the other orphans were taken in by one of the last monks to leave the monastery, Joon Park. Joon, an adherent of Shizuru, taught Kwan and the other children duty, respect, and swordplay. More than most, Kwan readily absorbed these teachings and, over time, became Joon's apprentice, teaching the younger students the same lessons that Kwan learned from Joon. As the years went by, the two continued to teach children those important lessons of duty, respect, and swordplay, until Joon's light went out due to old age.
When the Lung Wa empire crumbled, Kwan decided to honor Joon's memory by protecting the city and joining the town guard after much of their ranks left the town. Now no longer a young man himself, Kwan has retired from the town guard, but regularly participates in training exercises. He also assists Yong Wu-Xiu at the Eternal Blaze Ironworks, mostly by carrying heavy materials around and fetching tools. Kwan finds happiness in seeing Yong create well-crafted blades and armor.
But more than anything else, Kwan occupies his time by making sure that the next generation of Willowshore finds joy in duty, respect, and swordplay. As Joon always told Kwan and the others: "Be prepared to protect your town - if you aren't already ready, it's too late."
Home: Because he has routinely travels to both sides of the river (Eternal Blaze Ironworks & town guard barracks), Kwan's home is close to the Dawnstep Bridge.
Hierloom: TBD
