Before Grizzlebin arrives, Vreekka quickly assembles and throws a bomb, aiming directly at the YMC.
Bomb: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 (vs touch AC, range increment is 20 ft)
Fire: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
and 6 splash fire damage to other creatures in a 5 ft radius (Reflex DC 16 for half)

Gadzooks! The system didn't tell me anyone had posted! :( Sorry about the delay.
Vreekka decides to start the party by singing the old favorite alchemist song 'You Dropped a Bomb on Me' and has the yellow musk creeper blazin!
Status: YMC at -21 HP.

Cannoli, Guardian XI, and Eadric are UP! Finish the YMC before it corrupts one of you!

The Paizo site has done that to me as well on a few occasions.
Eadric studies the Creeper and takes another shot...

The catfolk sighs and strides in while pulling out her beat-stick, ”Sure, it’s mindless and probably would try to eat us. But maybe, just once, something like that would just rather have a nice conversation. Wouldn’t that be interesting?”
She swings her weapon.

[standard] attack BLUE
shadow weapon attack, slashing damage: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 132d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 5) + 6 = 13
He's thinking of putting extra power into it but decides to not go overboard as his aim isn't feeling great right now.

GM Shadow Dragon |

Eadric shoots a whole through it and Cannoli mashes it with her morningstar - it's dead!
Guardian XI obviously misses on purpose because Cannoli's speech made him remorseful...
Woo woo! Congrats! :) Anyone searching for any lost loot on the battlefield?

![]() |

Guardian looks around to see who saw him swing wildly at the dead body.
He evades discussion by searching for any lost loot on the battlefield.

Eadric also takes a look around to see what he can see...

Cannoli looks around to see what kind of creatures this mold thingy has eaten. Maybe there is a nice adamantine agile breastplate sitting there unused.

GM Shadow Dragon |

@Cannoli: A Knowledge (Local) check is required to ID the remains.
Cannoli, Eadric, and Guardian XI check for any loot - particularly an adamantine agile breastplate - but the equipment they find is mostly 'standard issue' type one would expect issued to an army. Sadly it's all rusted, pitted, and unusable and unsellable.
Sorry guys no loot here. :(

”Well, 'Noli, let me have a quick look...” :-P

GM Shadow Dragon |

One of those rare moments when this skill comes into play:
Vreekka finds remains of goblins, hobgoblins, but mostly humans. She remembers from her studies of history that Isger lost a significant battle to invading goblin forces in this region.
She theorizes that the goblins and their allies left the humans to rot in the field to demoralize the army and population.

Cannoli smiles at the genius alchemist, ”I appreciate that nickname a lot more than ‘Cans’. Also, good to know about the bodies and the battlefield. I guess if they had any armor of any value they probably wouldn’t have lost. Let’s move on, anyone find more tracks?”
She sniffs around for trail sign.
Survival Aid: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8
But the stench of death is too strong.

Survival: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Tracks? There are tracks?

GM Shadow Dragon |

Cannoli and Guardian can't quite remember where the trail was they were following but Eadric is on the case! He remembers which way the party was going before this detour and guides the group out of the ravine and to the other side.
Eadric taking 10 will work plus you made two successful Survival checks in the morning and those are for the whole day. ;)
As the group settles in for another night of camping two questions loom large:
Who will be on which watches?
Who ate all of the cookies the Ophani and Cassicia packed for the trip?

![]() |

Cannoli takes the same second shift watch as before.
If you notice the crumbs in her whiskers and comment, she replies, ”Oops, were those for everyone?”

![]() |

I hope everyone slept well... Daegon says as he stretches and takes a sip of hot tea.
I really must stock up on supplies when we're back in Absolom...I am inn dire need of some strong coffee...Mwangi is preferable...

"I should've b-b-brought more food!" says Jakeric, finishing the last of his dried bread and meat. "M-m-maybe we can do some hunting as we w-walk tomorrow?"
I've marked off a ration. (I'm the ironic example of a GM and player who is pedantic about keeping track of rations, but always forgets to regularly buy rations for my own characters :) If the group is willing to move at half speed tomorrow, we could do some hunting/foraging along the way using Survival to find more food (if Jakeric Takes 10, he can provide for himself and one other, at least).

Cannoli bogarting all the cookies notwithstanding the Escoro family also provided food for the journey. If you guys want to take extra time remember (and it's tough in a PbP) that there's a missing person out there somewhere.

Also see Exhibit One: this boon we (almost) all should have.
Gunty’s Hearty Breads (Rescued Noemi Tauralio): Gunty regularly sends you baskets of hearty bread that stay fresh across long journeys. You begin each adventure with 4 trail rations. The bread hardens and becomes inedible after each adventure if it is not consumed.
And no, ‘Noli doesn’t really care that much if Eadric starves. He’s a big boy and can take care of hisself. :P

![]() |

Guardian wonders why the organisms are so obsesses with consuming matter.
He takes last watch.

![]() |

Again, Vreekka takes the last watch. She is quite happy with her ration of Gunty’s Hearty Bread and therefore completely oblivious to Cannoli's extensive cookie consumation.

Vreekka Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Guardian XI and Vreekka are on watch when they both hear something not far outside the range of the campfire. Vreekka sends Guardian XI to investigate to find...a RACOON!
Who was drawn in by the smell of Jakeric's rations and plotted to steal the last of it until he was discovered - drat those pesky adventurers. The racoon sneaks off into the darkness...
With no other excitement the group rises, eats some Gunty's Hearty Breads and whatever they can scrounge up from the Escoro family, and head out for another day's march.
You know what time it is - two Survival checks time! Go ahead and select your lead tracker and then everyone else can assist.

Ah, it took me a moment to remember why I chose not to invoke this boon: Jakeric was at 30.5 pounds of gear with 1 ration, and carrying 31 pounds would make him encumbered!

Daegon tries to help track but is apparently so rattled by news of a racoon he can't find the way. Jakeric is looking for someone coughGuardianXIcough to carry the weight of Gunty's Hearty (and apparently heavy) Breads.
Jakeric comes to the rescue and locates the goblin tracks and continues following them...
I'll update sometime today and get to the death of the party muahaha! next part...

Cool that it is "Konsum" - another Old Germanic influence on the English language perhaps?

As the group follows the trail Guardian XI, suffering under the weight of Jakeric's gear, happens to notice...something...lowering itself on a thread of silk from high in a clump of trees.
A picture of the creature is on the 'Current Slide' link. Knowledge (Arcana) checks may give some insight into what it is!
Before Guardian XI can raise the alarm the creature speaks, startling those party members who hadn't noticed it before.
"Halt! Who are you and why are you trespassing through my kingdom?"

![]() |

Eadric and Vreekka sense the creature is a bit less tense thanks to Jakeric's overture - and probably his stutter.

![]() |

Cannoli beams and pumps her fist into the air, ”SOMEONE LISTENED!!! Great work Jake, talking first instead of violence. You might make a good catfolk one of these days.”
She steps up next to the summoner and bows, ”Oh great King of the Forest, I am Cannoli Jones, spiritual leader of this ragtag band that call ourselves Pathfinders. We humbly request passage through your woods to exterminate a band of goblins that have attacked a town we consider under our protection.”
Can’t fail an Aid to Diplomacy. Or she can roll for the request if necessary.

GM Shadow Dragon |

The creature preens when Cannoli bestows it a royal title and looks quite pleased.
"Ah a creature familiar with etiquette! Such a rare thing these days. Hello Cannoli Jones I am Asiclassus, great King of the Forest. I will consider your petition for passage but I would like to hear more about this quest your Pathfinder company is undertaking."
I know Vreekka is busy in RL at times so I'll give it the evening for her to make her Knowledge (Arcana) check. If any other PC has it feel free to make one.

GM Shadow Dragon |

Daegon took copious notes the particular day he was researching magical beasts.

![]() |

Active day! Catching up...
The next morning Guardian informs the team
We saw a racoon overnight trying to steal food! I think it's a sign that nature is trying to reclaim me. It's not easy being technology.
As they begin to depart he sees how awkward Jakeric looks trying to carry his load and offers to take his pack in addition to his own. Big whoop. He can handle it.
--------------------
Guardian can't tell if the silkworm is tense or just hangry.

GM Shadow Dragon |

I am Daegon. What would you consider for allowing us to traverse your kingdom? A tithe or a donation of sorts?
Asiclassus gasps in 'horror' (obviously feigned) and responds to Daegon, "My goodness you make it sound like I'm some common pickpocket! I wouldn't demand things from you. Now if you wished to show respect and deference with a gift or offering..."
Asiclassus does seem most curious about the more exotic members of the group particularly Daegon, Guardian XI, Cannoli, and Grizzlebin.
Addressing Guardian XI and Grizzlebin, "You two...you aren't familiar to me. What are you and where do you come from?"

![]() |

Oh no...I did not mean it like that...my apologies...I do happen to have some tea...I'm out of coffee, unfortunately. I regret i don't have a lot other than that...other than my fancy walking stick... he says as he holds up his cold iron hanbo.

"I would love some tea! I can sip on it while your group explains this quest you've undertaken..."

Cannoli frowns, ”Weeellll I don’t recall all the details but, I’ll share the tail as well as I can!”
She begins a one catwoman show that hits the high points of the mission. A nice story about the receptionist and then the mayor’s briefing (heavy on emotion and very light on mission details*). Next comes a wonderful re-enactment of the fifty waves of goblins they defeated in the fields while guarding the cowering farming families. A brief bit about the feast and Guardian marrying a farmer. After that is the brave cave diving done by Guardian and Grizzbizz and Eadric. Finally the AMBUSH BY THE MONSTROUS PLANT TENTACLE MONSTER!!!

The strange bipedal cross between a wolf and a bear mumbles "Name's Grizzlebin. Listen, uh . . . Asiclassus . . . no offence and all, but we've got some gobbos to kill and a mortal to save, so maybe we can chat later?"

Botting Vreekka; taking 10 on Knowledge (Arcana) for a 27.
Vreekka will offer Asiclassus some of her Gunty's Hearty bread and suggests other members of the group offer any trail rations or any other food items they might have for the katroome to sample.
The katroome accepts the tea and sips at it and nibbles on the bread as the party details their mission. He seems entranced by Cannoli's description of grand battles, heroic struggles, a wedding, and a monstrous tentacle plant monster.
Addressing Grizzlebin concerns Asiclassus says, "I understand and perhaps I can help you in your quest! Yes I have seen goblins, many goblins, passing back and forth just outside of my kingdom."
Asiclassus continues, "Given their number and frequency I decided to observe these little villains and see where they were going. I can tell you exactly how to find their camp. Do you wish to remember or write it down?"
After he gives the directions he continues, "Two of them seemed to be in charge of the rest. One was a goblin and the other was actually a bugbear. They were odd looking though even for ugly creatures of their sort. They had this icky purple stuff all over them. Purple is a royal color but it didn't do anything to make them regal. I hope this helps because I wish to see this local menace removed from the area to make sure they don't encroach on my domain."
Survival, Knowledge (Geography) checks please, and you know from Asiclassus's description he's describing demon bile. His description of the leader goblin matches the description Carlo Escoro gave you of one of the two goblins he saw near the homestead. Guardian XI should remember a certain cave drawing he saw recently... ;)
