Tharpe cuts into the pumpkin, though Maneki's arrow is a little too high; it can be difficult to hit such a little thing.

You can invoke any number of runes with a single Invoke Rune action, but creatures that would be affected by multiple copies of the same specific rune are affected only once, as normal for duplicate effects.

Ranshu:

Usage: drawn on a creature or object
This vertical rune is often carved on tall towers to draw lightning and shield the buildings below it. If the bearer does not take a move action at least once on its turn, lightning finds it at the end of its turn, dealing 1d4 electricity damage.
Invocation: The preliminary streaks of lightning braid together into a powerful bolt. The rune-bearer takes 2d6 electricity damage, with a basic Fortitude save.

Voron (AC 19; 30/30 HP)
Ramona (AC 19/21; 27/35 HP)

Nothing hinders the party's ability to continue tending their wounds or bothers them as they do so.

Once they're ready to move on, they find that the third leg of the journey up the mountain has less physical features serving as obstacles. Instead, the animals in the area serve as the obstacle for the Pathfinders. Various island critters, such as local birds and squirrels, are overcome by their desire for conflict and begin to hound the PCs as they move through the area.

To keep their travels going smoothly, the agents must find a way to deal with all of these creatures.

As part of this phase, the PCs can each attempt two of the following checks.
Successful rolls represent being able to minimize the time spent dealing with the island creatures. Failures or critical failures represent major setbacks caused by these creatures or even the time taken to slay animals to stop the attacks.
Intimidation: Although they are instilled with a desire to attack, these animals still revert to base instincts when in danger, so a PC can attempt to scare them away with Intimidation.
Nature: A PC can use Nature to locate food that will distract the animals, sometimes causing them to fight each other over the right bit of plant or meat.
Stealth: Hiding from the animals is the most straightforward method of avoiding them.
Survival: Canny PCs can notice nearby dens, tracks, or other signs of animal life to better avoid walking into areas where the animals might attack them.
Perception: By keeping an eye out, PCs can notice the animals before the animals take notice of the PCs. It’s then a simple matter of
avoiding these creatures.
Other Solutions: PCs who have the Animal Empathy feat or the ability to cast speak with animals can use Diplomacy or Deception to convince the animals to let them pass unscathed.

Both failures.

Voron certainly isn't the diplomatic type, and he doesn't suppose the animals will listen to his lectures on Thassilonian Lore, so...

Voron uses food to direct the animals, which helps him keep an eye out for them. It's effective!

That's another three successes.

The animal attacks clear up after a while, and the Pathfinders eventually reach another area that the river winds through.
The small river cuts through this area, surrounded by disused paths. The river is a deeper shade of red here, seemingly running with more blood. The air is quieter now, filled with fewer signs of life than the paths further down the mountain.
