He allows her time to read and draw her own conclusion before sharing his.
"I believe Saviya is this 'secret patron' who had intended, or at least promised, to give Sister Maeri her position once she has eliminated Jakalyn and ascended into her role through appearingly-legitimate means"
Ann tries to drive this conversation to its conclusion, knowing that lingering in one place for long could be a recipe for an ambush. "So the questions become: What do you intend to do? Turn us in? Ally with us? Remain a neutral party? What role does your faith have in your decision? Would Achaekek approve of this coup?"
