The dice gods have spoken. With any luck, the nat 3 was already a Crit Fail, so I didn't do any worse.

Correct, you can roll for round 2 Sien

Ketsu-kiba switches gears, worrying that the Librarian's patience will wear out before they make their point.

Achaekek Lore: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (14) + 21 = 35

Ketsu-kiba lays out an argument "You'd be a fool to listen to us without any proof. I could show you our notes or explain the translation ourselves, but this note found in Dockmaster's Torvald's Ledger. You may wish to review the promises at the end and see what conclusions you can draw about the faithful and the faithless."

Sien also switches gears.

Round 2: Diplomacy: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (13) + 19 = 32

"Look, it's kind of obvious you aren't jumping at the opporunity to kill us, and also, hopefully obvious that we're not jumping at the opportunity to kill you. Why don't we agree on a course of action that would either condemn us or vindicate us, and defer a fight until we have more information?"

Round 3: Diplomacy: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (19) + 19 = 38

"We're back here in this city to gather proof and clear our names - not to exact revenge on those who have wronged us. Well, okay, maybe a little revenge on those who have wronged us. But primarily to gather proof and clear our names."

Mantis Keeper's promise to us
Start of the info from the Dockmaster
Riot Twins info
Sister Maeri's journal evidence

Ann shares the evidence found on the Riot Twins. "While Blood Mistress Jackalyn isn't a monarch, those who sincerely follow He Who Walks in Blood's abhorrence for killing rightful monarchs ought to feel that a coup to replace her skirts too close to that taboo. There are legitimate ways to challenge the Blood Mistress. These tactics betray the conspirators' lack of faith."

Lore (Achaekek) E: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (5) + 20 = 25
Hero Point reroll: Lore (Achaekek) E: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (7) + 20 = 27
Sigh. The dice gods are grumpy at Sien and me.

Moonlight believes that: The librarian do not appreciate grandstanding, hyperbole, or embellishment of the truth. Such theatrics made as part of an Influence check result in a –4 penalty to that check. No drama queeens! So far no oen have tried that

Sien first tries to argue about leggitimate contract, but he blunders Round 1 was crit fail bringing you to 0 influcence poitns

Ketsu uses Achaekek and proofs to sway her your side, and she responds well. Success bumped to crit success so influence 2

Sien tries again but he is not doing it well. Regular failure - Religion is 4 points easier check than Diplomacy, but even with that you would be 1 point short

Ann attempts to make her argument and it seems that the evidence speak for her

Fail => success due to evidence 3 influecen poitns

Last round 3
Sien - rolled 38 to be resolved
Ketsu
Ann
Moonlight

Influence 3
2 proofs to be used: Mantis Keeper word + Sister Maeris

Depending on the level of success you may get something... or not ;)

Ketsu-kiba pushes the argument further.

"You are not the only one we have approached. The Mantis keeper has spoken of other false missives. Think of how messages from Blood Mistress Jakalyn have traditionally gone, and how they have gone of late. Think of how such a conspiracy would form, and what tools they would use against their own..."

"It looks as though Sister Maeri was unable to remember her own plot in all of it's details" he presents to the librarian her journal and explains the cipher about invisible ink "You see reference to 'traitors' in these poorly-documented plans" and motions around the table to indicate who they might be.

He allows her time to read and draw her own conclusion before sharing his.

"I believe Saviya is this 'secret patron' who had intended, or at least promised, to give Sister Maeri her position once she has eliminated Jakalyn and ascended into her role through appearingly-legitimate means"

Ann tries to drive this conversation to its conclusion, knowing that lingering in one place for long could be a recipe for an ambush. "So the questions become: What do you intend to do? Turn us in? Ally with us? Remain a neutral party? What role does your faith have in your decision? Would Achaekek approve of this coup?"

Achaekek lore: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (9) + 20 = 29

I think the dicebot is trying to tell us something.
