As the ritual is complete, Hesla looks at all those gathered, determination in her eyes. "Ingalor's resurrection and resulting destruction are a direct result of my own choices. I may not be able to change everything, but I can ensure he doesn't have the opportunity to do anymore!"
Before any of you can protest, she grabs Riftcarver out of Erinn's hands and steps up to the balcony. "I learned greatness through those who brought me back. From the Nephilim Barbarian who reminded me of my youth to the two Great Dragons who spared me when they didn't have to!"
Hesla draws a deep breath before launching herself off of the balcony, flying through the air as time seems to stop. As she brings Riftcarver down upon Ingalor's head, a colossal explosion occurs. A blast of energy radiates out, knocking everyone within the grounds to the dirt, and shattering Riftcarver and Ingalor. Hesla falls to the ground, seemingly unmoving as the waiting healers come to their feet, rushing out to stabilize her.
As the healers reach Hesla, it is clear that they are able to bring her back round rather quickly, if a little worse for wear. Looking over the balcony, you see her sit up and shake her head, a bit stunned, but alive.
Seeing Hesla alive, you all breathe a sigh of relief and begin to celebrate ...

"" comes a forceful voice....
Your celebration suddenly comes to a screeching halt as Jorsal of Lauterbury stalks up to the Pathfinders. "You may have saved Absalom but I have NOT forgotten the assault on my person when asking me would have sufficed. I do fully intend to have you all prosecuted for assaulting a Venture Captain!"

"Yeah, okay. Good luck with serving me with papers from under the sea though, land-dweller." The Barbarian responds derisively.
Ouliette calls forward her Divine Wings and flies up and away from Jorsal.
Calling back down to the Pathfinders from a height, Ouliette says: "Thanks for the help, Pathfinders! You were a great bunch to team with. Dragons, make sure Hesla doesn't do anything stupid again. Change the World, My final message. Goodbye!"
Her piece said, Ouliette flies off into the sunset, towards the docks of Absalom.

As Ouliette flies away, a stray thought comes into her head.
"You defeated two demon lords, but fly away from an old man? For shame."
Not wanting to look bad in front of all the senior Pathfinder leaders, Ouliette decides to fly back and confront Jorsal. With a rush of air and a loud thump, the Barbarian lands on the ground, uncoils herself to her full height and stares Jorsal in the eye.
"Hang on, I think I left the kettle on...and haven't yet picked up my payment for saving the whole of Golarian from a demon lord...again." Crossing her arms, she silently dares Jorsal to get angry.

Rhaegal flies down to help the healers and ensure Hesla alright. When he hears the commotion he flies back up to see Jorsal squaring off with Ouliette.
"Come now, Venture-Captain. Dreadfang has the right of it. When they tell the story of the defeat of Ingalor, do you want to be the brave Mendevian who answered the call and provided a key ingredient for our success? Or would you rather be the footnote of the man who tied up the heroes in legal proceedings?"
He grunts. "Dragons tend not to debate such things. We merely eat the solicitors who try and go about the real business. But in deference to your rank, I will hear you out."

Itka turns a withering glare on Jorsal. "Hmp. You didn't give us the time of day when we tried to talk to you. If we had waited on your pleasure, you would have delayed us until it was too late for the ritual to succeed. Your conceit nearly cost the world everything. If you want to be treated with the deference due a Venture Captain, it would behoove you to comport yourself accordingly. Hmp!" She punctuates her final "hmp" with a solid thump of her cane on the stone pavers. Hmp. Get off your high horse and remove the rod from your @$$. What an embarrassment.

A helpful gnome runs into the room, slightly out of breath from running up the many flights of stairs. Still panting, she hands Jorsal of Lauterbury her business card. "Excuse me, sir Jorsal. I'm Pip from the Envoy's Alliance Legal Defense Fund. You might remember me.. I'm the person who teaches the Law 101 for Pathfinders at the Grand Lodge?"
She smiles and then addresses the Pathfinders. "I'm so pleased to meet you. I'm going to be your legal representation, if you will have me." She offers to shake hands with the group, and then turns back to Jorsal.
"Now... surely Sir Jorsal, we can agree that a long, protracted trial is the last thing that we want? Prosecuting the heroes who saved Absalom might create a bad impression, and cause an unnecessary strain on the society's reputation. So... let's talk about this, and see if we can find an amicable solution that might help everyone. Are we agreed?"
Pip turns to the Pathfinders. "Would you like to explain your actions to the Venture-Captain and myself, to catch me up on this case?"

"Talk about pettiness. If that's your take on this issue I'd say you don't deserve to be a Venture Captain at all."
Erinn makes a small pause to give more weight to her next words. "If you are willing to submit yourself to the ridicule of such a thing, I wont be the one to stop you."
