Liberty's Edge

OK, so who still needs some time to get there character together?? There is no rush, but if you need help, let me know. Once complete please post with your avatar so I can check it out and make sure there are no errors or anything. Once everyone is done, and I have a little idea of your backstory I will make an opening post in the game tab and we can start the adventure. How does that sound.

Male Mossling Friar 1| AC 12| HP 5/5|

I have a basic character done. Still need to finalize gear. I'm gonna need to figure out what I'm buying. Do cigars exist? I see him as a cigar smoker not a pipe. What would be the cost for a cigar? Also are there any mossy beasts of burden? I may need something to carry my stuff.

Dude, that is genius. Now I'm feeling like Trystyn smokes clove cigarettes ;)

Liberty's Edge

Male Historian/Curator

Gwomoyom: On page 128 is a rule for pipeweed. I will say that any of these can be rolled into a cigar, but it is a rather rare and, to many, eccentric way to smoke pipeweed.

Didn't that awful demon from Spawn smoke cigars?

Trystyn Marryman wrote:

He did in the movie...

I think Jack is good to go, I'll collaborate a little with Trystyn on how and why we exited the Fairie world.

Just a heads up. I'm headed out of town this afternoon. My laptop is broken enough I can't take it with me, so I won't be back online/in games until sometime Sunday afternoon

I am missing the following things:

Base Skill Target for Search and Listen.

I need stats for a vicious goat or whatever animal I happen to start with that is roughly goat-like.

I am not sure what Affiliation and Moon Sign are.

I have calculated my encumbrance based on the normal gear weighing 100. I need to fix what that does to my speed.

I posted a background based on what I rolled up for the character.

Moon signs are an Optional Rule on Pages 174-175 that I do not believe we had/have explicitly discussed including/using or not.

Affiliation is a word that is not present in the entire Player PDF that we have, so I'm not altogether sure what it signifies on the character sheet.

Male Mossling Friar 1| AC 12| HP 5/5|

Background: 1d20 ⇒ 5 Fungologist

Do you have any idea what a notebook or empty book would be? Paying for a spell book to take notes in seems expensive. Most of his heavy gear is going to end up on his mule, unless there is a mossling version of a mule.

So Gwomotom is a studier of fungi, herbalist and cook. I see him as having a recipe/fungi note book. One day he hopes to publish a cookbook. Still fleshing him out a bit. To be honest I am not sure how he is going to contribute in combat. He gets 1 spell a day and well Friars believe all life is sacred and must protect and aid the needy.

Liberty's Edge

Male Historian/Curator

I would allow you to start the game with a book of notes and recipes. As for the mule, if the rest of the party is ok with it, then an old donkey is available for your use. His name is Abraham and he has been around as long as you can remember...

Liberty's Edge

Male Historian/Curator

Moon signs are completely up to you...as for Affiliation it has to do with the many groups in the Dolemwood, none of which your group have any affiliation with...at the moment :-)

Ok...so let's see who we have here...

Gwomotom Danklow, the male Mossling Friar
Shandor Underbleat, the male Breggle Hunter
Jack Trippler, the male Grimalkin Thief
Trystyn Marryman, the male Elven Enchanter

Id this all correct??

Liberty's Edge

Male Historian/Curator

OK...so I think I will have Gwomotom and Shandor knowing each other, and Jack and Trystyn together...now please tell me how you each met and finally how the two groups ended up in the hamlet of Blackeswell, at the edge of the fungal Forest of Mulchgrove

Male Mossling Friar 1| AC 12| HP 5/5|

Sorry 11pm and I just turned my computer on for the day.

Gwomotom, as a friar, gets around. (No not like that! Get your mind out of the gutter. Unless there are neat fungi there!) So where Shandor and I met could be anywhere. I would say we are near the forest because Gwomotom wanted to examine a rare fungus said to grow there and find out it's properties and possibly taste.

Gwomotom: You could be searching for a plant known as Witch's Purple that you have been told grows in the vicinity of Blakeswell, at the edge of the Forest of Mulchgrove. While not an especially valuable herb, it is reported to be a psychedelic.

Shandor probably conferred with Gwomotom at some point about some fungi growing near his turnips.

Did you by chance see any rules on stats for goats?

Liberty's Edge

Male Historian/Curator

I looked around, but there are not anything special about them...I suppose you could have a normal ram and use it as a pony, but that is all there seems to be

Skills:
Alertness: 6 Listen: Search: Stalking: 6 Survival: 5 Tracking: 5

I am not sure if we are talking about the same thing. As a Hunter I get an animal companion who fights to defend me. I am not planning on riding it like a horse/pony. I don't really plan to use it very offensively at all as I am looking at it more as a pet, but in case it needs to protect me I was hoping to have some version of stats to use for it.

So, do you want me to use the stats of a pony to represent the goat? If so that is awesome and I will go with that. Or is there something like a ram that is stat'ed out that would make more sense for what the goat would do in a fight?

The goat is also just meant to be kind of thematic. If you want me to just grab a hound from the main book and say he was used to protect my turnips from rabbits, that would work too.

Liberty's Edge

Male Historian/Curator

Ah, you are correct...sorry I thought you were talking about a normal animal. I like the idea of a goatman with a host animal companion. Let me see if I can find anything in the bestiary for Dolmenwood.

I will repeat whaT i HAVE written in discord. To find some of the plant is a forage skill roll. If you do not have the skill you will need a 6 on a d6, otherwise you need to beat you skill level

SHould I place maps and such in discord or is there a better way to do it??

Daniel Stewart wrote:

Up to ypu sir, but they are much easier to get to and to resolve on whatever platforms we are using through discord. Here you have to link to them somehow using a URL.

I like Google Slides. Everyone can edit it and its easier to get to from some places for me then Discord. But whatever makes your life easier, you should go for.

Liberty's Edge

OK...finally got it figured out....there is a map URL on the campaign page where I will add pictures, maps and other visuals...I hope it works for everyone

What was the agreed upon price for the fungi? We didn't cover that I think.

Liberty's Edge

It was 5gp for each plant
