Hullo everyone! Kishmo here. Was thinking of bringing my lvl 6 space-dinosaur spell speaker space-bard! He plays best with spellcasters in the party, since he can buff allied spells. We appear to have a lvl 6 witchwarper, mystic, and technomancer, so - great use-case for the ol' spell speaker!

FYI: I just realized the official start date is Sunday and i'll be on vacation! Per the VRBO reviews there's good wifi so I'll be checking in but may be less timely and verbose than I should be on day one.

As an envoy, Embidi is a great captain, but also a passable Magic Officer or Gunner. Happy to switch-hit between whatever's needed.

Unless we hear otherwise during the briefing, the usual vote is "Drake with Finest Weapons." Sounds like this mission is about flying in and about a space-bound river, though - so maybe the speed and handling of a Pegasus would be better? TBD after the briefing :)

No special starships on this PC, but, I do have Defender of the Fleet from 1-99:

Defender of the Fleet: During the return to the Scoured Stars, you partook in at least one starship combat mission to assist the evacuation of the stranded Starfinders. As a result, your name has spread throughout the engineers and dockmasters of the Starfinder fleet. Whenever you slot this boon, you can pick one of the following options:
Finest Computers: You can improve the computers onboard your starship by one step: from a mononode to a duonode, or from a duonode to a trinode. Alternatively, you can upgrade the computer’s bonus by 1 while this boon is slotted (to a maximum of +8).
Finest Engines: You can increase the speed of your thrusters by one step. For example, T6 thrusters become T8 thrusters. You cannot use this boon to upgrade beyond the fastest thrusters commonly available for your size of starship (so you
cannot upgrade past T14, S12, M12, L10, H10, G8 or C8 thrusters.)

Just noticed the opening on this one and signed up. I updated my profile and stat line with the important stuff. Will do a quick check tomorrow on my equipment and other details tomorrow morning as we're starting up.

For starship combat, my best role is probably my Computers+15 as Science Officer, since Freeman seems to have me beat on Engineering.

I don't have a preference on the ship. From an Engineering/Science Officer perspective the Pegasus is a little better, but you do have 20 fewer hit points. I usually leave it to the pilot to decide if they want more speed/maneuverability or more hit points.

In regards to Embidi's question: I have a level 1 life bubble spell chip, which means I can only cast it on one person for an emergency. I could buy a higher level spell chip ... but I notice that Amy has life bubble so think that should cover us all since she's level 6.

Made a small msitake, Freeman does not have the Defender of the fleet. I had that Chronicle fro my higher level character in front of his chronicles with a clear note stating it's there for informational purposes due to using something from that Chronicle for Freeman.

He does have the Heavy solar cannon upgrade, which could easily be as good or better than the weapon upgrade from that boon.

Zoomba: What was the CR on that Sarcesian angel/solarian thing? To check off the last box on my Possessed Augmentation boon, I need to participate in the "defeat" of an enemy at with a CR at least two above my character level, so I'm hoping it was CR 7. It did seem to pack quite a punch.

I just read the module and I want to thank you for adding the details about the scientists etc that wasn't in the module itself. That really enhanced the roleplaying aspect for me and I appreciated it.

Thanks again. You made this scenario awesome. Now Amy is actually choreographing a memorial star dance to honour Those who Soar as well as telling the story of their sacrifice in creating the River. She's using Sarcesian traditional space dances as it's base in such a way to respect their culture and traditions.

And one of the benefits to running in PbP is that when I get posed a perfectly good question - like 'what do we know about the missing scientists' - the format buys myself a bit of time to elaborate on some worldbuilding that the scenario might not go deep into :)

Heh. No. My city is expanding and their solution is to just keep raising the water pressure to accommodate new housing areas and apartments and businesses. On top of that apparently the excess Chlorine that's in our water has been proven to slowly damage the pipes they were using around 1987 when my house was built.

Magitek would've been a cooler problem...
