(I'm awake between 8 am to 10 pm EDT (UTC-4 hours) so roughly 1300 to 0300 hours, GMT.)
Howdy. If you're a member of one of my games, then here are a few rules I'd like you to follow:
1. Please post at least once a day.
2. Under your name, please add a stat block. Most important stats:
- Hit Points
- AC
- Saving Throws
- Perception Bonus
3. Any skill with the Secret tag should be rolled privately. If I show the DC, feel free to make the roll openly. Otherwise, there are 2 ways to do this in my games:
- You can say which skill and which bonus you want to apply. (Example: "I use Occultism +5 to investigate the skull's mystic origin.")
- Or you spoiler your dice roll and everyone sticks to the honor system of not opening it.
Example Occultism roll:
Get your >Pathfinder Provisions<
Once you have your character selected, please go to RPG Chronicles and post your character's details there >Sign Up Page<

Goblin Bard checking in. She's a bit more versatile than Roark... and she can heal... Moderate Healing Potion as well
For full disclosure, I've read the scenario because I thought I was going to run it for the group Chadius and I are in. :)

![]() |

btw, 4 glyphs here.

Checking in!

GM chadius |

Feel free to >add your token< to the marching order.

Oh I need to mention that Zhao Kang has the alchemist dedication, and can throw bombs. Please let me know if you're ok to take the splash damage. And don't worry about saying no. I've built Zhao Kang primarily to be a support utility belt, so he should have lots of options, including just basic cantrip.

![]() |

Feel free to splash Jaxon unless it would drop him. Just expect him to b~$~@ about it in character.
I have my own non-alchemist bomber character. I'd love to know how you think the new rules work out.

![]() |

Friendly fire ok as long as it doesn't put her to sleep :)
Lokaloka can also heal her new friend.. ;)

![]() |

Haha thanks. :)
Likely would only be using bombs more when it can activate the targets' weaknesses. Otherwise, would rather save the few vials I get for support and healing. Although granted the versatile vials now allow non-stop bombing, and with quick bomber, it's better action economy that cantrip. But this is my first game with the remaster alchemist rules so would have to figure things out as we go.

![]() |

Yeah, so I'm limited to just 4 a day so will try to reserve them for the support elixirs.
But I also understand that Quick Alchemy also lets me create bombs which do acid damage via Quick Vial without consuming my 4 daily versatile vials. (Unfortunately, the text can be quite confusing as it uses "versatile vial" in two different context. So I hope I read that right.)

FYI: I just realized the official start date is Sunday and i'll be on vacation! Per the VRBO reviews there's good wifi so I'll be checking in but may be less timely and verbose than I should be on day one.

Hey GM, Zhao Kang's very first action in combat is almost always going to be Recall Knowledge, hoping to find the target's weakest defence (and if crit, weaknesses/resistances), to determine what spell or alchemical item to use. To not slow down the game while I wait for the results of the Recall Knowledge, are you ok to bot that first action, so that when it's my turn to post, I have the necessary info?

I'll try to remember and apply the most relevant skill I can.

Wow. Lots of posts in here already. I hope it's okay for me to take the 6th slot. It would be a replay for me so I'm totally cool if you'd rather go with 5 or all fresh players.

Thanks. If it helps, I've put the recall knowledge checks in a spoiler in his profile page that you can cut and paste.

Howdy Simon! Come on over, we have some extra room. Add your name to the >RPG Chronicles< and your icon to the >Slides<
Team, how are we doing on hero points? Everyone starts with 1 but some of you have GM Glyphs that you can give to teammates.

Not Bun-Bun? :)

Simon asks around in the tavern before heading out to visit with neighbors for any clues.
[dice=diplomacy]1d20+10
Not sure if I was supposed to roll that myself or not. Simon has +10 diplomacy if you would rather do a secret roll GM Chadius
Oops I totally forgot that Simon is a skilled human and thus just became expert in diplomacy at lvl 5. Henceforth any diplo check will be at +12 rather than +10

I should have asked earlier, but would haste be particularly useful for any of your characters? I know some builds might be particularly action starved so let me know. Doesn't mean I would cast it depending on the situation but I'll prioritise accordingly.

![]() |

Lokaloka has haste in her spell list. But she can only cast it twice per day.

![]() |

Um.
New swash is hella fun!
@Kang - Haste might help DJ in future fights (seems we got this one under wraps...) because he typically uses on action one defense, one on tricks, and one on strikes, and forfeiting one of those for movement if needed (his ranged option is weak). Or, in a low-mobility fight, he would Strike + Confident Finish, thus adding to his damage. So yeah, a pretty high-leverage use on him I would say.
=)

![]() |

My next character might be a Swashbuckler. I was looking at trying to make a quarterstaff Swash, but didn't seem viable.
BTW, if you're wondering, Jaxon follows the Kingpin school of fighting.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Got it. I'm not so familiar with a swashbuckler, but having a magus, I know some builds can be quite action starved. :)

For fun RP that made me laugh and doing an accidental bad cop/worse cop routine I say Don Jurri and Jaxon. :)
Second the motion... especially at the docks... :)

GM chadius |

The bath house went faster than expected...
We are near the finale. If you want me to include the downtime activity on your character sheet, please roll now.
In addition, there are 2 more Hero Points up for grabs. Please nominate who should get them.

![]() |

My downtime's a bit complicated because I use it for crafting.
Had spent 2 DT days earlier to set up to craft Dispel Magic (3rd) (this was before the remaster where it reduced DT days to set up from 4 to 1), so Zhao Kang can start crafting now.
crafting DC22: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34 Crit!
At L6 and Expert, each DT reduces cost by 2.5gp. A 3rd rank scroll cost 30gp. Zhao Kang pays half in material cost (15gp), and 6 DT for the remainder.
---
Then he starts on a new scroll, Fear (3rd).
Spents 1 DT to set up.
crafting DC22: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (9) + 15 = 24 Normal success.
Each DT reduces cost by 2gp. He pays half in material cost (15gp), and remaining 1 DT reducing the remaining from 15gp to 13gp, to be continued after next scenario.
Whew.
