I think Vrosi is critical and Markus and Kiilo are down to two spells each.
As Mosquito approaches the door, the two mandrills become agitated, as if they were fearful of the doors opening.

Mosquito stops. The goblin frowns.
Wees bees da Heroes. Wees already did da asking. Da don't bees speaks da right words, so wees just continues?
We are in B7? They are afraid of B8?
Dahak GM Delta Arena
Markus
The mandrills don't quite understand what Markus is trying to say. From seeing how they fought at first, it is clear that they are trained to do so, so it might not be a physical confrontation that they are afraid of. The one thing that is clear is that they are hesitant for themselves, not for any of you.
Mosquito
You are in B7. They hesitant of B8 because of the bear, in like a “that’s a bad idea” way, but they are afraid of B9, although it is more of a discomfort or uncertainty.

Mosquito points to the door of B9. He then points at himself and his friends.
Youses no bees afraid. Wees da heroes here. Wees ken take care of da Stupids.

They remain confused and hesitant, but they are in no position to stop Mosquito.
Vrosi is still critical though.
Kiilo

Assuming everyone is ready and Healed, yes....
I'm so sorry, I went back as far as Kiilo being stabilized, and I am not seeing where Vrosi needed healing ... or I would have done it. So if Mosq really is checking in, then I guess everyone is not healed? Kiilo can for sure start singing again if needed.
Dahak GM Delta Arena
Vrosi was heavily wounded between the two encounters and the only heal for Vrosi was one cast of Hymn of Healing between the two.

Awesome, I have marked the starting area for you to place your tokens. Who is bringing the door down?
Mosquito.
I placed us inside the starting area. Using phone, so we look weird...lol. Mosquito is waiting for someone to open the door so he can race in!
Dahak GM Delta Arena
Vrosi kicks the door open, loosening it off its hinges, and storms into the room.
Pieces of furniture are hanging together from torn curtains attached to the ceiling’s rafters. Bedsheets and bedposts connect the pieces to one another, creating elevated vines to swing around in this makeshift trash-jungle that has been set up. There is, however, no sight of the mandrills within the pale immitation of their native land.
Kiilo’s initiative: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Vrosi’s initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Mosquito, you can take your turn before the Mandrills. Unfortunately, they are Undetected right now. You know from cranky that there's two of them in the room.

The mandrill Mosquito is holding says something in their native tone. There is a quivering in his voice. Then, a piece of splintered wood flies towards him. Followed by a short, harsh reply.
Mandrill (Yellow)
The piece of wood starts begins to high, and it bounces off of the door frame on its way.
The mandrill makes himself known with the thunderous sound of his accusatory voice as it jumps down from the trash-jungle and readies his whip.
AB: Strike*, Stride*, Interact (Draw weapon)*
Mandrill (Purple)
With that signal, a piece of stone is launches against the held mandrill as well.
bludgeoning damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
The piece of stone, in spite of the narrow hall, and the orc and goblin between them, manages to make its way to the held mandrill, breaking his skin and making him bleed.
The second mandrill falls to the ground, and repeats the same unknown words the first one had. It leans down and takes a broken piece of wood from the ground.
AB: Strike*, Stride*, Interact (Pick up debris)*
Mandrill (Bright Red)
The friendly mandrill struggles in Mosquito’s arms in desperation.
Unable to break free, but desperate to do so, the mandrill keeps attempting to slip away.
After some further struggling, the mandrill slips away from Mosquito's grasp and starts running away.
The bright red mandrill is injured.

Terrified, the last mandrill takes the opportunity to start running as well.

Vrosi
In a single move, Vrosi unsheates his mikazuki, approaches the enemy and hits him on the side of the head.
Markus
The mandrills are mesmerized by the array of colours. They stare at it for a moment. Soon, their stare goes blank. They are staring at nothing, unable to see anything in front of them. They are both Stunned 1, Blinded (1 round) and Dazzled (10 rounds).
Mosquito
Mosquito tries to intimidate the mandrill in front of him, but the doesn't notice what is happening in front of him. Changing tactics, Mosquito decides to take advantage of the situation and push the mandrill against the door, which he does before advancing triumphantly.
I will wait for Kiilo until Thursday before taking my turn.
Dahak GM Delta Arena
Kiilo
Kiilo rushes into the room and begins to gather feather-shaped energy in his fingertips. He lets it fly out. It vanishes before hitting Vrosi right in front of him, and reappears just before the mandrill. The three energy feathers pierce through the creature.
Mandrill (yellow)
The mandrill takes a moment to rub its eyes, and blink a couple of times, to no immediate effect. He can still hear the steps, the clanking of armour, and the grunts of those around him, and he can smell the unique scents of Vrosi and Mosquito. He starts flailing its whip around in their general directions.
The whip cracks a feet away from Vrosi.
slashing damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
But Mosquito is not so luck. As the mandrill spins around and sends the whip in Mosquito's direction, leaving a cut on the goblin's side.
Yellow is critically injured
AB: Stunned*, Strike*x2
Mandrill (purple)
The second mandrill takes a moment to recover after having knocked against the door. He too blinks a couple of times no avail. Mosquito’s scent is still near, and the piece of wood is still in his hand. He tosses it in front of him, towards where he believes Mosquito to be.
The thrown furniture fragment flies savely overhead of the cleric, leaving him unscathed from the attempted strike.
Now unarmed, he goes for the sickle in his belt. Getting ready for Mosquito’s next assault.
purple is moderately injured
AB: Stunned*, Strike*, Interact (Draw weapon)*
Mandrills (others)
Not looking back, they run as fast and as far as their legs can take them.

Mosquito
The mandrill turns towards Mosquito’s voice as his vision begins to clear, but it is too late for him. As Mosquito stabs him with his rapier and he falls to the ground.
Markus
Switching the attack to purple
Perhaps due to him already being blinded and dizzy, Markus' assault on his mind seems to little to no effect on the mandrill.
Vrosi
I’m switching an action to Stride since purple is out of reach
Vrosi closes in, boxing the mandrill against the wall. He swings his mikazuki and hits the mandrill on the side of the head. There is a crushing sound and the mandrill slides against the door until it is laying on the floor.

Markus calls Cranky to his arm and pets him gently. Then he goes into the room and says "I'm not sure what the other mandrills were so scared of." After saying that, he is extra wary of anything hidden that might come at them. He instructs Cranky to also search around.

Markus Swick

I'd love it if that were true. Give them monsters some personality and phobias!
Cranky says in a cute voice "I can... I can hear some splashing noises from that room." Markus replies "Can you smell anything in particular?"
Cranky stiffs his nose in the door trying to understand what he can.
Dahak GM Delta Arena
Mosquito opens the room. A steady dripping from the stone ceiling has created a deep, bog-like puddle in the middle of the broken floor. Ringing the puddle are splintered pieces of wood stuck into the flagstones’ rubble, rising up like bizarre foliage. On the other side of the puddle lies one more mandrill, while Cranky is certain that he smells more of the froggers in the puddle.
Looking into the puddle, Mosquito can tell that there are two figures hidding just under the surface.
Markus Swick
|
Cranky closes his eyes and puts his nose up as Mosquito pets him. He opens his eyes only to say "I smell some froggers! Did you see Marky?" Markus says "I don't see them yet, Cranky, but I believe you. Get back and hide." He readies a spell when one of the froggers appears.
Can I ready Daze for when I see a frogger that I know is there because Cranky rules?
Dahak GM Delta Arena
Since Cranky pointed them out to you, you can just take the action to cast Daze (which would then trigger combat). This action would be against Hidden enemies, which has a DC 11 flat check. Alternatively, yes, you can hold the action and cast Daze once they are no longer Hidden. Lastly, you could cast it on the mandrill who is observed (that would also trigger combat immediately after.
The mandrill sees the door open, picks up a stone with one hand and takes out his sickle with the other. His pose is defensive, and he seems to have no intention of rushing towards the door.
