Marius Verloren |

Marius winces in sympathetic pain as the ankheg crushes Nasir in it's slavering jaws "Not today, beast!" he shouts as he again pauses a moment to invest his blade with a little bit of his magic ability before attacking the centipede. His rapier easily slips in between the plates of the creature's carapace to pierce the flesh beneath.

Ananet taking a step back, fires and then hastily reloads with yet another alchemical cartridge. "Watch out y'all," she screams as she fires at the whiptail centipede, landing a hit on the massive beast.

Sahba al-Xemestra |

Sabha presses the attack, bringing her magically enhanced blade slashing down on the vicious centipede with silent focus.
Black bladed Kopesh (Enhanced: +1 Magic): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

GM Wulfson |

Ananet's bullet ricochets harmlessly off the centipede's armored shell, but Sahba's khopesh slashes a gash along the creature's soft underbelly as it rears up to strike again. Sahba's strike proves to be more than it can take, as blood and intestines spill from the wound the centipede crashes back into the garden pool and lies still.

Sahba al-Xemestra |

"All yours, I have no desire to eat that." Sabha says, taking a moment to clean the ichor off her blade with an arcane gesture.

Nasir glances sideways at Idari for his choice of meal "It's all yours." he says as he laughs. The chuckle brings a wince of pain form his surely cracked ribs. As pauses a moment and calls upon the healing of Sarenrae as his hands glow brightly for a second as he touches his bruised chest.

"We're out here diggin' up secrets, so I'd imagine Bastet might be inclined to help out a little. Different situations, they call fer different Gods," Ananet says as she raises her holy symbol and offers a small prayer to Bastet to continue their endeavors on relatively unharmed.
"There, feel any better?" she asks as she offers a warm smile while she puts the golden cat symbol back around her neck. "Even when her magic was worth nothin', Bastet's always been with me. Here's to hopin' yer god treats ya the same way the Sly Enchantress has treated me, even if I ain't her typical divine spellcaster."
Channel Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 6
6 more damage healed for Nasir. Was originally going to post two channels, but our bard used a Cure so you only get the one.
"So! Where to next?"

![]() |

That's enough to get me up to full.

Marius Verloren |

Marius will make his way to the building along the north wall and check it out.

GM Wulfson |

A rectangular stone building sits in the northwest corner of the estate. At each corner stand columns carved to resemble men and women with their arms crossed over their chests. A set of stone doors stands in the southern face of the building, carved with bas-relief faces of two men. Hieroglyphs are carved into the doors just beneath the faces.
The hieroglyphs identify the two faces as Pentheru the Elder and Pentheru the Younger, the two faces match those on two of the columns and those on the statues at the entrance to the compound, the other two columns are identified as the wives of the two men. Further hieroglyphs issue a warning " May defilers be cursed by the gods until their day of judgment.”

![]() |

Nasir moves up to join Marius. As he read the hieroglyphs he says "Defilers, eh? Sounds like this must be some king of a crypt and, who knows, there might be some undead in need of smiting inside."

Ananet Bast |

"As long as it ain't someone who hasn't been judged, we should be fine by the pantheon of Ancient Osirion. They're grave goods; they're intended for while they wait to be judged. So, I got no qualms about pilferin' some artifacts of some long dead guys!" Ananet gulps as she heads forward with the rest of the group, "let's jus', hope this next one hadn't turned into a shadow like the last one. That's probably gonna weigh on my conscience for... a long time."
Ananet is clearly uncomfortable at the thought that the soul whose grave goods they were taking hadn't yet been judged, as that was the whole reason the tombs were opened in the first place! Her family had adhered to tradition even as times changed and magic died, she wasn't about to stop now.
Will move my token some time today.

Idari "Lucky Strikes" Lucien |

Idari-lucien's blue eyes shine brightly reading the words. The Amurrun smiles.
We have a warrant.
The Wizard prepares to send his Lit Unseen Servant into the presume darkness....
Magic Missile ready!

Sahba al-Xemestra |

Sabha keeps her blade drawn, not offering an opinion on the possible vengeful dead that might yet encounter as she moves to follow Marius and Nasir in.

![]() |

Nasir grabs one of the tomb doors and nods to Marius "Ready?" he asks "On three. One, two, THREE" and he opens the door.

Marius Verloren |

"Wait, wait" Marius says "Is it one, two, three, go...or is it go on three?" before Marius finishes his sentence Nasir has already opened the door on his side, leaving Marius nothing to do but follow suit.

GM Wulfson |

Nasir and Marius open the doors wide to reveal a stairway descending into the darkness below.

Marius Verloren |

Marius will cast dancing lights before heading down the stairs. He moves cautiously, checking for traps as he goes.
Perception check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

![]() |

It looks dangerous. You go first.
Nasir will follow 10 feet behind Marius.

Ananet Bast |

Ananet follows 10 feet behind Marius as well, hoping to be out of harms way, but keep others within her line of sight as well.

Idari "Lucky Strikes" Lucien |

Idari-lucien's blue eyes follow the path of the group. The Wizard's Unlit Unseen Servant joining him.
Scary back here. Watch my back.

GM Wulfson |

The stairs open up into a 25'x25' square room. A stone altar sits upon a raised stone platform in the center of this room. Caryatid columns carved in the likenesses of male and female figures with their arms crossed over their chests and khopeshes or ankhs in their hands stand at each corner of the platform. Empty torch holders are built in all four of the room’s corners. Two stairways exit the room one climbs to the south, while the other descends from this chamber to the north.
Upon the altar lays a mummy wrapped in funerary bandages. As Marius reaches the bottom of the stairs the creature rises up and moves to attack.

Sahba al-Xemestra |

Moving down the stairs, Sahba, looks past her companions to see the wrapped figure rising.
"I'm not sure what that thing is, but it isn't undead!" she blurts out, retrieving a potion from her belt and quickly drinking it, a flickering field of silvery light manifesting around her body, fitting her frame like armor.

Well played, GM. Well played.
Marius comes the same conclusion as Sahba "It's not a mummy. I have no idea what it is, but it isn't a mummy." Marius pauses a moment to draw upon fate, him being the seventh son of a seventh son, and draws a club from his belt and bashes it just the same.

Marius bashes the "Not Mummy" with his club which seems to stick the some type of adhesive woven into the fabric of it's wrapping. With effort he manages to pry his club free from it's body.
Anybody striking the creature with a weapon must make a DC:14 Reflex save or have it's weapon get stuck to the creature's flesh. A stuck weapon can be removed with a DC:17 Strength check, which will provoke an attack of opportunity from the creature.

Nasir moves down the stairs to stand next to Marius, drawing his scimitar as he goes. He slices the monster across the abdomen but manages to draw his blade back before it gets stuck to the creature's "skin".
