With flask in hand Nasir nods to Ananet and she opens the door before moving out of the way of any errant throw by Nasir.
Ananet save your shot until next round. It's a move action to open the door and then another to move back out of the way.

Nasir readies to throw his alchemist's fire as the rotted grain begins to boil. Expecting a horde of rats he is surprised and a little nauseated of a swarm of beetles burst forth instead. He launches the vial and burns part of the swarm, which continues on unperturbed.

Nasir is soon engulfed by the swarm as hundreds of tiny scarabs crawl all over his flesh, biting and stinging.
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Fortitude save (nasir): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

Idari climbs to the roof of the nearest building and from there he uses his prescient like abilities to direct the others on how to defeat the swarm.

Falric quickly grabs his reagents and mixes together one of his bombs. Rushing forward he launches it toward the swarm. His throw decimates the swarm and the remaining beetles scatter aimlessly across the courtyard, no longer a threat.
Attack roll: 1d20 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 6 + 4 = 30
Attack roll (confirm critical): 1d20 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 6 + 4 = 25
Damage: 4d4 ⇒ (4, 3, 2, 3) = 12 x 1.5 = 18 damage

Sahba, since Falric finished off the swarm before your action there is no need for you to cast your burning hands, so save it for later.

With the spell on her lips unnecessary, Sahba breathes a sigh of relief, wrinkling her nose slightly at the scent of incinerated beetles. "You can come down and join us now!" she calls back to their less-than-valiant wizard.

"Can we wait about a minute or so before we head into anywhere? Goin' to whip up an extract to heal myself."

For the next minute or so, Ananet can be seen doing a minor bit of alchemy, along with infusing a bit of her own magical aura into the extract, to prepare an extract of Cure Light Wounds.

"Bottoms up!", she says as she downs the hastily made healing extract in one single swallowing motion. "Mmm... always liked the taste of healin' extracts, dunno why."

CLW Extract: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 Fully healed.

We are light our Trapper. Could pose a problem for those not wishing to get stabbed, sliced, poisoned, gassed, guillotined, pit fall, dig dug and even eviscerated.

The Catfolk's blue eyes seem to be looking at both the Magus and Paladin.

As the scarab swarm dissipates everyone feels a wave of nausea sweep over them as the area around them seems to waver like a heat shimmer in the desert.

Marius stands there, as he's always stood there, waiting "Whoa, what was that?" he asks. Everyone looks at him oddly as only Idari, with his connection to Time, seems to remember someone... "else" standing there moments ago, but even that memory is fading into the mists of the past.

Okay, I got bored.

As you enter the granary and begin to search you find three fleshless skeletons, probably courtesy of the former swarm that dwelt here, buried in the moldy grain. When you excavate around the bodies you see one of them still grasps an adamantine light flail in it's bony hand.

Ananet's eyes glow blue as she examines the weapon but can find no trace of any magical auras on the weapon. Satisfied she hands it to Sahba.

Nasir brushes the grain dust from his clothes and hair before asking "Where to now?"

There's a covered "porch" still to be explored on this side, you could explore the rest of the courtyard to the west, or you could enter the building proper.

Marius enters a small side room lined with empty shelves, dust and debris swirl in from the courtyard outside. Marius is surprised a a creature resembling a spider, except that it has ten legs instead of eight, drops from the rafters above. The hungry creature, eager for fresh meat, mistimes it's attack and crashes to the floor in front of the Bard.

Ananet grins whildly as she realizes she has a clear shot to the creature between the legs of Marius, and fires as she laughs as she aims right for what might be considered a weak point. She then reloads her firearm with an alchemical cartridge as soon as she immediately fires, hoping to put it out of its misery soon.

Firearms only resolve against Touch AC within the first range increment, the range for a pistol is 20'. Marius still provides soft cover against the target, but yes a 21 does hit regardless.

Nasir rushes forward to fill the gap left by Marius but stops as he realizes the size of the spider is that of a small dog. "Ugly looking spud, isn't it" he says to no one in particular as he slashes at the bug with his scimitar, but the multilegged creature nimbly dodges his attack.

Marius, I'm going to assume you did a withdraw action to end up where you did.

Ananet's bullet whizzes between Marius' legs, much to his surprise, to blow a big chunk out of the spider's thorax. The look he shoots the catwoman is a mix of consternation and disbelief.

Idari, perhaps compensating, pulls out his wand of magic missile and launches a bolt which unerringly strikes the creature.

Sahba moves up to the doorway, drawing her blade as she goes. She pauses a moment as her khopesh begins to glow with a mystical light.

The ravenous solifugid, undeterred by the damage it's sustained, continues to attack Marius. The creature manages to score blood as one of it's claws rakes Marius' calf.

Marius carefully extricates himself from his attacker and withdraws to stand next to Nasir, urging him on to take his place in front of the spider.

Nasir raises an eyebrow at Marius' display before rushing in to confront the arachnid. He swings his scimitar at the creature, who manages to sidestep the attack as the Paladin's blade slices through the air where the solifugid stood just seconds before.

Stepping up behind Nasir, Sahba slips past him, stepping to the side to enter the room and strike at the spider-creature, her blade emanating magical energy and a sensation of...almost...enthusiasm.

Idari's magic missile takes the life out of the spider as it's legs splay out from underneath it and it sinks to the ground. Sahba's blade slices through the creature, separating it's thorax from it's abdomen, a pool of ichor spreads across the ground before soaking into the parched earth.

Moving from the east courtyard to the west you pass through another set of gates and find that the western side of the estate forms an L-shaped yard mostly given to sand, sun-dried earth, and the ancient husks of dead trees in what must have once been a garden. Stone benches line the walls of the yard, and a large tiled pool sits in the southwest corner, dried and partially filled with sand.
A short flight of steps leads between a pair of pillars to a set of stone doors in the west side of the house. At the north end of the yard stands a squat stone building with columns at every corner.

As you make your way around to the west side of the building the sand in the bottom of the pool begins to shift as a huge centipedal creature, with hunger in it's eyes, rears up from beneath.

No one is surprised as the creature looms over the party. Everyone can act before the centipede does.

Nasir lets out a low whistle as the creature rises from the sand "That's one big b~#$*." he says to no one in particular as he draw his scimitar and steps in to attack. His blade slices deep between the plates of the centipede's carapace but doesn't sink deep enough to strike anything vital underneath.

Seeing the utter size of the creature, Ananet makes a snide comment as she unloads the pre-loaded alchemical cartridge into the creature, "Well, 'least I can't miss this thing!" Afterwards, she takes a 5foot step back so as to not be struck by the creature, all the while stuffing another paper cartridge down into her pistol.
