Jekcedo tries a throw, but goes off-target, and Bodie remains on his seat.

Bodie is going down into the gloop!
Hahhah! Yuluzak bellows That brings back memories!
Bodie is right inside the puddle of goo, which is a lot more viscous (and smellier) that he had previously imagined.
I need an athletics checks for Bodie.
Bodie 705 |
As the ball clangs off the target & Bodie feels the seat release, it reminds him a bit of his days as a drop trooper - the anticipation, that null-g pause between losing support & starting to fall.
Mostly though, he thinks
"I sure hope that my enviro-seals hold."
Goop Swimming Athletics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21

Bodie finds that the kahlgee below is unusually thick, and has a consistency close to quicksand. With pure strength, though, he manages to make it out.
Hah! Good times! Anyone else want to sit there? Yuluzak bellows as Elwin helps cleaning up the half-orc No?
There's a fourth game! Jeekso says, not deterred at all by the previous dangers an failures, It's called soarnettle squall!
Soarnettles are the dangerous, razor-sharp tumbleweed like plants that are blown about on the planet by the surface winds causing deep cuts to whoever gets caught in their path, and a bit of a strange topic for a 'game', but Jeekso explains anyway See, I have made a green maze. The maze is filled with wind tunnels that spray fake soarnettle leaves. They include packets of red paint, so if you've been 'cut' you can see it! The winner is the person who escapes the maze with the fewest cuts!
The game consists of three different skill checks, from the following skills checks:
- Acrobatics to evade leaves,
- Bluff to trick opponents into a squall (you must name who),
- Engineering to use the maze’s walls and other features to one’s advantage,
- Intimidate to startle an ally into making a mistake (you must name who),
- Mysticism to divine the correct path,
- Perception to remain alert,
- Piloting to navigate the maze,
- Physical Science or Survival to predict wind patterns
Yuluzak eagerly moves into the maze...
Bodie 705 |
After making sure that he mentions the quicksand consistency, Bodie falls in behind Yuluzak.
Acobatics to evade the nettles: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

"Did I miss an option or two? At least red looks good on me. Not everyone has red blood, so you could add more color options to the paint."
AbadarCorp Entertainment |
This thing seems to be made for Elwin, who moves through quickly and doesn't get hit at all. Jekcedo enjoys the sight of being covered in red blood, and his suggestion to add color to the paint may also comes with a suggestion to make it less itchy! This stuff is really hard on the skin, and Jekcedo, along with Bodie and Aluradux, break out rashes. Allergies are universal, it seems.
Life Science, Medicine, Mysticism, or Survival to counter the effect.
AbadarCorp Entertainment |
Jeekso is very upset Oh no! It was never intended to be like this! All these flaws in my games... Bodie knows the perfect cure for Jekcedo's rash, rubbing some of that watered-down kahlgee onto it seems to do the trick. With the game fixed of bugs, everything is now a lot safer and more balanced.
Task complete!
As one of the athletic competitions in the Elytrio Open, Dystane is organising a hunting party! There are numerous teams of athletes, followed by a filming crew.
Dystane invites everyone into a prayer circle, and calls out, “Mother Touloo, we are hunters and friends, here to feed our community. Please, watch over us.” The husks join hands, and then call out, “Touloo, Touloo, we honor you, Mother Touloo!” After a few minutes of hand clasping and prayer, everyone grabs their gear and sets out into the desert.
Elytrio’s desert is hot, and the sun is unforgiving. Heat shimmers turn the horizon into a wavering blur. Here and there, outcroppings of dark brown rock jut up from the rusty red sands, providing small patches of cover and shade. The wind blows quick and steady, blasting exposed skin with scalding sand which does nothing to dispel the heat. Over the roar of the wind, stray sounds cause the hunters to twitch with nervous energy: scratching noises and the skitter of small rocks in the distance.
Suddenly, Dystane breaks the silence and says They are here! To arms! To arms!
Dystane directs her hunters to one group of predators, while pointing the group and the eager Yuluzak to a closer set of animals.

Bodie and Aluradux both easily recognise these things as sand brutes, the beast reported as the main predators on this planet. The black one looks to be an alpha, stronger and tougher than the rest of them. Their hides reflect laser fire to an extent, so firing lasers at them can be dangerous, and they have a very imposing roar that can rattle the weak of mind. Nothing Yuluzak is worried about.
I suppose that makes Bodie go for the Boomer Rifle instead - what is the damage on that one?

Description
You weave nearby photons into illusory holograms that can take almost any form you can imagine. These holograms are usually effective against cameras, robots, and living creatures.
1st: When you cast holographic image as a 1st-level spell, it produces a purely visual hologram at long range (400 feet + 40 feet/level). The image has no sound, smell, texture, or temperature. The image can’t extend beyond four 10-foot cubes plus one 10-foot cube per caster level. The image lasts for as long as you concentrate. You can move the image within the limits of the size of the effect.
2nd: When you cast holographic image as a 2nd-level spell, it produces a hologram as per the 1st-level version of the spell, except the hologram can include minor sounds, but not understandable speech. The image lasts for as long as you concentrate plus 2 additional rounds.
