"We can spend the night on our ship, if you would prefer privacy for your Honeymoon, Lady Smythee," Ci Ci says with a smirk. "Send your husband down in when the sun is up tomorrow morning. If he's unable to walk, we can lug him to the boat in a wheelbarrow!"

Nico shrugs at 'Ci Ci's' teasing. He knows he's going to be hearing the jokes for some time and has decided to let them roll off his back. Once the scratches have healed anyway. :)
Profession Manwhore (untrained): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17 Didn't let the ship down. :)
It certainly made an interesting change from ship to ship battles.

Capricia makes sure to warn Lady Smythee about the Dominator prowling the nearby waters before preparing to head out on the hunt again.
Yep--let's get to plundering! International Talk Like a Pirate Day is a week from today!

Capricia shrugs at Nico's question. "I'd hoped Lady Smythee would have a suggestion, but that doesn't seem to be the case." Turning to Ci Ci, the captain asks, "Does Besmara have any divine insights on where we might venture next?"

”I will ask!” Ci Ci replies with girlish enthusiasm, as she pulls out her Harrow Deck and settles herself cross legged on the deck.
”Besmara, guide us to the richest hunting grounds,” she intones. ”Let the cards point the way.”

For succeeding in taking Tidewater Rock, award them 266 XP each. Entering into a marriage with Lady Smythee counts as “cracking” Tidewater Rock since it gives the PCs effective control of the castle for as long as
the marriage lasts. Regardless of their approach, you gain a 1 point of Disrepute and Infamy as word of their exploit in “cracking the Rock” gets around the Shackles.

You go out for a few days and while you spot a ship or two
on the horizon, none are close enough to gain a track on. After four days you decide to head back to the Rock.
You find that the island was attacked by sahuagin
on the previous night. One of the garrison’s guards is dead
and Mardus Siggs (or another NPC if Mardus was slain or
joined the PCs’ crew) languishes from a horrific wound to
his thigh from a barbed sahuagin trident. Mardus’s wound
was treated, but the jagged barbs of the weapon caused a
great deal of damage to the bone as it was extracted, and
Mardus now suffers from a major infection that will kill
him in 1d4 days if not cured. A DC 20 Heal check or remove
disease spell cures the infection, but the bone must be set
properly and healed with another DC 20 Heal check or
cure spell or his speed is permanently reduced to 10 feet.

Is Nico's bride dead?
No, just one of the guards and Mardus is dying without treatment.

That said, she scoots off to speak with the Lady of the keep.
