Nico Dalian |

"The bell!' Nico shouts, hints dropped by Manny & Kalban from half remembered dockside tales and barroom shanties finally clicking into place. "Break his damned bell!'
"Bastard rang it as he took his ship to its death. Breaking it will finish it!"

Cerise "Ci Ci" Barchetta |

Hearing the orders, Ci Ci calls down a bolt of lighting on it.
Call Lightning: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 1) = 7
I've got one more bolt if that didn't do the job.

Hearing the orders, Ci Ci calls down a bolt of lighting on it.
[dice=Call Lightning]3d6
I've got one more bolt if that didn't do the job.
You did some damage to it, but you don't think another bolt will be enough.

brvheart |

It's an object so it will have hardness. I don't have anything that will do enough damage to get through.
hardness 9

Capricia the Pirate |

Capricia hacks at a nearby zombie, wondering if her crew have dented the cursed bell yet...and if a precise blow from her falcata might damage the thing.
Capricia the Pirate falcata: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14 for slashing damage plus 4 precision damage: 1d8 + 7 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 7 + 4 = 16 (17-20/x3)

brvheart |

The bell is barely dented so far. Yes, we are still in initiative.

Cerise "Ci Ci" Barchetta |

Seeing that her lightning bolts aren't sufficiently damaging the bell, Ci Ci, sends her last bolt down on the zombie fighting Kaliban.
Call Lightning, Ref DC 16: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 5) = 12

Emerald Delta Waters |

Who all is going into the hold to get the plunder?
Not me

Emerald Delta Waters |

Reluctantly the entire crew will move the plunder over to your ship's hold.
No one going to try aid another besides Capricia?
I will
aide another: 1d20 ⇒ 19
Cast scorching ray at the bell

scorching ray: 4d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 5, 2, 3) + 2 = 16

brvheart |

Fire and lightning spells do half damage vs objects. Counting 3 from the call lightning your total is now 18 pts of damage done.

another Manny

GM BRVHEART: Where is the Bell on the map? Can a token representing it be placed on the map?

Kaliban the Wayward |

Are there any weapons about that Kaliban can avail himself of? Is that even the correct grammar?! Was there some harpoon (think they are two-handed), or was that thrown?
Anyone got a weapon I can swing with two hands?! My fists won't do much to that thing!

Cerise "Ci Ci" Barchetta |

Assuming the Bell is near the ship's wheel... Ci Ci moves toward the demonic Bell of the Deathknell.
Ci Ci cries out, "Feel the bite of Besmara's Blade!" as a rapier made of glowing force energy appears in the air beside her.
Casting hedging weapons.)

GM BRVHEART: Where is the Bell on the map? Can a token representing it be placed on the map?
Sure, ring my bell

Cerise "Ci Ci" Barchetta |

Ci Ci grasps the hilt of the glowing blade of force and hurls it at the bell.

Inspired, Kaliban reached to pick up a blade dropped by the zombies.
Can Kaliban attack? He needs to activate (move action) Martial Flexibility.
He needs to use his standard for one of those move actions.

Initiative Order Round Four
Manny
Capricia
Emerald
brine zombies
Kaliban
Cici
Nico

Capricia the Pirate |

With Manny dropping their flanked foe, Capricia gives the tenacious goblin a quick nod and grin and then scoots south to the rail, following it--out of range of any attacks from the remaining zombies--and climbing up the stairs to the deck, stopping when she's next to the allegedly cursed bell.
That double-move took up her whole turn; she'll take a hack at the bell next round. If anyone else wants to try to destroy the bell before then, feel free to go for it!

brvheart |

The bell shatters. The zombies all fall to the brine they came from and the ship begins to sink into the sea.

Cerise "Ci Ci" Barchetta |

"Getofftheboatgetofftheboatgetofftheboat!" Ci Ci repeats with urgency as she moves back across the boarding plank.
(Double move.)

Nico Dalian |

Nico stands at the railing of the Queen's Grace watching the end of the Death knell closely.
Even if he can't make it into a song that will be sung around the Shackles for years he can memorize for description to those who can.

Capricia the Pirate |

Capricia scampers or swims away from the doomed vessel and regroups aboard the Queen's Grace with her crew. "Well done, brothers and sisters! I wish we could've grabbed something to prove to the rest of the world that we vanquished Pilk and his crew, but you all know the truth in your hearts. We've done an admirable thing this night, worthy of song and a tale that ought to be regaled! But we've done a good thing, be it known or not--we've removed a threat that has haunted these waters for years and now is no more. I salute you all!"

brvheart |

When you get back to the ship you see your crew stacking up the plunder they transfered while you were killing zombies and destroying the bell.

brvheart |

If the PCs manage to permanently lay Whalebone Pilk to
rest, award them 2,400 XP (or 400 each), in addition
to the XP awarded for defeated foes. Furthermore, they immediately
gain 2 points of Disrepute and Infamy for triumphing over a
legendary scourge of the Fever Sea.

brvheart |

Several days later you made it to Ricketey's and your meetup with Capt Pegworthy.

Capricia the Pirate |

Assuming that we come to terms with whatever the protocol is for the arrival of a new ship at Rickety's, Capricia leads a jolly boat ashore to meet with Pegsworthy. (Anyone who wants to come along may join.) Once she meets with the captain, she delivers the concerning news of the presence of the Chelish Dominator in Shackles waters.
"Not all grim news, though," the captain adds with a rakish grin. "Though there's a new danger roaming the Fever Sea, we've balanced the scales by eliminating an older one: my crew and I defeated Whalebone Pilk and sent his ghost ship--the Deathknell--to the briny depths! I'm lucky to have such a fine crew, so clever and courageous!"
Eventually, Capricia asks how the squibbing on Captain Pegsworthy's ship is progressing. " You did us the honor of christening our vessel before we sailed out into the Fever Sea," the captain points out, "and I'd like to repay that kindness, if you'd be willing to accept my offer. Though I'm not a Free Captain--yet--and am no noblewoman, I am the captain of a pirate ship and am a blood relative of the Maxeme family, so I'm likely as close to one or the other as you're likely to find out here in the middle of nowhere. What say you--shall I christen your refitted vessel before setting sail?"
I'll throw in a Diplomacy check in case it's needed.
Capricia the Pirate Diplomacy Check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

Nico Dalian |

During the trip Nico would have used his Cure spells helping Ci Ci on anyone with wounds, so your HP is back to max.
Nico follows along, curious to see how the ships officers handle things. He keeps his mouth shut and just listens.
