"This is the clumsiest enemy I've ever fight, it needs spectacles."
”SHHHH! Don’t jinx it!”, Marigold says crossly. She continues to jab away at the cracks.

With several more decisive blows, the guardian wobbles and finally drops to its knees, before completely toppling over as the party leaps away.

The energies swirling around Kukuha coalesces into an iridescent vortex, then bursts outward. Globes of luminescence linger in the air for a brief moment, then fade. The earth grows still, and the clearing is quiet, cast in the light of the setting sun.
Kukuha gets to her feet, casually dusting the dirt from her robes. “It is done. Now that the island’s ley lines have been restored, Kayajima’s magic will protect this site for years to come. I do believe the Society will find this location most appropriate for a new lodge. I’ll send word to Fola Barun to inform her of the outcome."
"I can’t thank you enough for your actions today. I will stay here for a while longer—it seems this island still holds countless secrets. I wish to study them before I depart. Safe travels to you, Pathfinders, whatever destination is next for you. I do hope our paths cross again, fates willing.”

Czav looks at the rests of the statue: "We jinxed it!"
-------------------
Czav seems very interested by the magical effects at the end of the ritual. When Kukuha finishes her speech, he tells her: "I don't know much about primal magic, but I feel I should. Don't hesitate to send letters to the grand lodge about your progress, I will for sure read them."

Czav looks at the rests of the statue: "We jinxed it!"
Marigold raises an elongated eyebrow at Czav, then chuckles at him. ”Damn right we did!”, she exclaims, sheathing her sword.

Ulfgar gives a grunt and nod of satisfaction as the statue goes down. He sheathes his weapons decisively then crosses his arms over his chest and watches the remainder of the ritual take place. When it is done, he actually relaxes, lowering his arms and smiling faintly.

"So, the next step is us taking the boat and getting back to Sakakabe. I heard they have strange inns where you can drink tea and an alcohol called saki or something like that. I think we need to visit one before going back to Avistan."

"So, the next step is us taking the boat and getting back to Sakakabe. I heard they have strange inns where you can drink tea and an alcohol called saki or something like that. I think we need to visit one before going back to Avistan."
”Good idea! First round’s on you!”

![]() |

"Ok, I take the first five rounds, you take the rest.", says a smiling Czav, strongly implying there will be many more rounds.

![]() |

F-first five rounds? How many do you expect there'll be?!
Elsha asks a little incredulously.

![]() |

Czav smiles to Elsha: "Today, I got nearly gutted by a cloud weasel, I've spoken to a dragon and I've fought a 20-foot tall statue. Now, I need a party at least as big as that! Do you see a good reason to not dance, drink, eat, laugh and sing for 3 consecutive days?"
Czav pats Elsha: "And on top of it, I've got a genius alchemist friend who makes pills to eliminate the upcoming epic hangover!!!"

![]() |

Oh-oh yes. That I can do.
He retrieves his alchemical batches and begins fiddling with them to deflect from the prospect of dancing.

![]() |

Czav lowers his voice a bit to sound more reassuring: "Don't worry, no one will judge you. What happens on the dance floor stays on the dance floor. And I'll be there to help you if you need advice or if you feel bad."
He then becomes more lyrical: "Partying is about expressing emotions, especially those we accumulate while adventuring. To avoid getting stuck with negative emotions and to rebuild your self-confidence. Look, today, you fought a giant statue and didn't flinch. And I'm pretty sure you think it's nothing. You need to tell that to normal people so they'll tell you how incredible you are. Let's go, normal people are waiting for us!!!"

![]() |

With the party prep well underway, you all can bid farewell to Kukuha before heading out. Making your way through the forest as the shadows lengthen, you quickly reach the beach where Masuhei is waiting at the rock pier to return you to Sakakabe.
The captain quips "I saw some bright lights over the island. I wonder who was responsible?"

Elsha chuckles at the last expression.
N-normal people! Very few of those fighting arcane c-constructs!

The captain delights in your tales and brings you back to the mainland.
Night is beginning to fall, and the sunset glow casts the waves in orange light as the Auspicious Pearl arrives to port.
The streets of Sakakabe are aglow with the lights of night life, and people dressed in all manner of Minkaian finery are enjoying a leisurely evening out.
True to his word, Masuhei treats everyone to dinner, and even partakes in the multiple rounds of strong drink.
Weeks later, each of you receive a letter from the newly minted Venture-Captain Kukuha Mukai.
Pathfinder,
I am most pleased to share two pieces of news with you. Thanks to your efforts on Kayajima, we’ve officially broken ground on construction of the newly named Three Gates Lodge. The ritual was a resounding success, and now that the island ley lines’ natural configuration has been restored, the lodge will be well protected from any outside threats. I am also excited to share that I have been named the venture-captain of this new lodge. I am looking forward to overseeing Three Gates operations and directing Pathfinder efforts within the region. It was a pleasure working with such a reliable agent as yourself, and I do hope you are willing to help the lodge in the future.
Until we meet again,
—Venture-Captain Kukuha Mukai
