Kat5e is rightfully disappointed by the boring weapons.

Nostog goes around and gives training instructions to those not invited, which is everyone but the true starfinders. Munrusu goes off to a private training booth, and Alyolan, Vilthratlle and Zizendi starts off in the gym.

Nostog takes the group into the officer's mess (where no trace of Cha'mon's ingress remains, fortunately), pours a few drinks and deals cards for a game of Akitonian Four-card Poker (Aces are Shobhad).

Ysh'yaal recognises the name Ferani. The Downside Kings were a brutal street gang that controlled several decks of Absalom Station’s lower levels, or “Downside,” through a combination of intimidation and violence.

They were known to engage in a wide variety of illegal activities, from extortion to murder. In the past few years, they’ve fallen out of the public eye.

Six years ago, the Downside Kings clashed with the Starfinder Society, which resulted in the death of their leader, Ferani Nadaz. In the fallout, the Downside Kings lost their holdings, members, and reputation. In the years since, they’ve struggled to expand and rebuild. Their current leader is unknown and the gang retains a fraction of their past influence

Afterwards, K'ssatak-sul slinks off to the kitchen, and finds Alyolan there, reeking of sweat and using the kitchen utensils in a way that is not quite the best way to produce edible food Heya, she says, I'm just trying to cook something. This evenings exercises had me very hungry... she sighs ... I really wonder what I signed up for here. I was hoping to learn astrogation and do interstellar travel... this whole society feels more like a street gang to me now.

It's easy for K'ssatak-sul to find the Vilthrattle's key magnetically attached to a drainpipe.

The close confines of the area are starting the tell on Liftt, and Jancrast suggests he finds some quiet time by himself. So doing, he heads off to the empty bunk area and pokes around there for a while.

Cha'mon

Cha'mon finds the same maintenance area that Ysh'yaal was in before.

Reminder of maintenance room:

The maintenance room is only a small room, filled with controls panels, a signal jammer and screens showing the security feeds of the compound. A series of eight monitors display what each of the complex’s security cameras witness, though some of them are black.

There's also a computer that is accessible via a chip reader, which no doubt stores the security feeds. Fun fact: Ysh'yaal is clearly visible picking the locks of the maintenance room on one of the feeds. Ysh'yaal hacked this one before, so it's possible to browse through old security data, and if needed erase parts.

The control panels manage the power, water, and temperature within prep camp. The power and water are currently on. The temperature is adjustable via dial to any temperature between 41°–89° F (5°–31° C)

The signal jammer is deployed in the corner and plugged into a wall outlet.

Lifft shows around the crown symbol, which Ysh'yaal readily recognises as the symbol of the Downside Kings.

Ysh'yaal herself moves out to the bunks of the other recruits (Assuming you meant A7).

This hall is lined with private bunkrooms intended to house new recruits. The sorry state of the wall coverings suggests these rooms have seen many years and little maintenance by the staff. Each room contains a bed and trunk. Each trunk has a latch closure, but no lock.

Ysh'yaal arrives just in time to see Vilthrattle going through the stuff of... Zizendi. Vilthrattle quickly stop, closes the trunk and pretends as if nothing was wrong. No comment, no apology, no explanation.

Going to push ahead a bit. I'll resolve these investigations in flashback where needed

The next morning the gang is rather rudely awakened by the sound of a blaring siren, and the darkness interrupted by flickering illumination. Vilthrattle groggily gets up while Munrusu says with an aggressive voice Did you have anything to do with this?

Get up, get the nine hells up Nostog meanwhile commands the recruits, the alarm means there's a facility breach near the power cell. I need you to get up, get dressed and investigate, and weed out any electrovore or whatever it is this time. C'mon, double time!

The group is given some time to get dressed and prepare spell, until they are chucked belowground by Nostog, who in 'friendly' fashion opens up a hatch to the lower facilities. You're fast he begrudgingly admits but Alyolan's already down there. Go and help him.

The winding passages of Absalom Station’s infrastructure hum with reverberating energy and rattle from distant movement. The entry hatches open into cramped tunnels lined with pipes, vents, wiring, and machinery. This space is lit by flashing red emergency lights and periodic bursts of electricity emitted by damaged wiring and panels

One of the floor panels has been torn open, and the power cell looks damaged, emitting periodic flashes of electricity of the harmful kind. Alyolan is here as well, unfortunately unconscious and beset by a strange monster that is prowling the hall, gobbling up pieces of debris and making a mess.

The only thing from stopping Cha'mon from being obliterated by the blob's cannon is his armor. He staggers backwards, stunned by the blow. His surprise is only momentary though as he sprints for a cover and then raises his sniper rifle and fires a bolt of plasma back at the blob.

Cha'mon Cha'mon breathes a sigh of relief as the slime turns it attention away from him. He aligns the sights on his sniper rifle at the slime center mass and fires.
