Please dot (add a post) in here and then delete your post to add yourself to this campaign.
1) I am based in Southeast Asia (UTC +8) so my posting hours may be unusual (especially for those in North America). I usually update at least one or twice per day. Just to keep the game moving, please post at least once every day and at least once during the weekend.
2) Please label all three of your actions. Even if you think what you are doing is obvious.
3) If I am unavailable for longer than 24 hours, I will let you know in the Discussion Tab. Out of respect for your fellow players and myself, I ask that you do the same. Real life happens, and real life will always take priority over the game, but out of fairness for your fellow players, please let us know if you will be unavailable for an extended period of time.
4) Please note that on the following days, my posting can get unpredictable:
Tuesday/Thursdays - all day, as they are the 2 busiest days of my work week
4) Please complete the Macros and the Slides linked at the top of the page.
5) Questions, concerns? Feel free to share them in the Discussion tab.
6) Let's have some fun and tell a great story together! After all, that's what we are here for.

Your adventure begins in the Vaults of the Grand Lodge in Absalom.
Grand Archivist Zarta Dralneen asked Rain in Cloudy Day to assemble a group of Pathfinders in a vault filled with newly acquired treasures.
"Hi all! I'm Rain In Cloudy Day. I'm a new Pathfinder agent here in the Grand Lodge. I'm a special assistant to Venture-Captain Ambrus Valsin."
Rain in Cloudy Day has a bright green body and a purple mushroom “cap” atop his head, and he wears a white scarf and brown vest emblazoned with the Glyph of the Open Road. Grand Archivist Zarta Dralneen has long dark hair and black nail polish and is wearing a vibrant blue dress. Both greet the group of Pathfinders in a vault filled with newly acquired treasures, which Rain calls the “Vault of Boundless Wonder!”—a phrase he exclaims while excitedly waving his hands.
Please introduce yourselves here

![]() |

Hello Rain, do you remember me? We met near Cassomir a few months ago.
The dwarf who said this is wearing a light armor and carrying a shield and a jezail. Of course he has a long brown beard and introduces himself to the other incoming characters as Kromrock Crushmaster from the Dwarven of Alkenstar.
Do you have prepared some refreshments? You know we are thirsty. A good ale would be great.

![]() |

Have you ever seen a cucumber with arms and legs? No?
Well, now you have.
The root leshy before the party is not muscular, per se--they're a plant, after all--but they have a particular density about their demeanor that suggests inherent strength. They have no hair, but they do have a tuft of stringy brown leaves that sort of looks like a topknot if you squint hard enough and are not sober. Their eyes are two beady black dots that, the longer you look at them, the more unsettling they become, because you realize they're not proper eyes at all, just two inky black voids with... something... floating in them that vaguely resemble pupils.
In a monotone that is just a hair too loud, he says, "Hello I Am Broccoli. You Can Call Me Brocc If That Is Too Long. I Do Not Need Refreshments."
You're not entirely sure where the mouth came from, or where it went afterward.

![]() |

A dark-skinned elf with silvery-white hair tied in a ponytail behind his head says in a low raspy voice "Hello Rain in Cloudy Day. I'm Nyx Kirath. What task do you have for us today?" He faces his companions and says "Well-met everyone" and bows.
He's covered in a dark cloak, with a hint of leather armor visible only from the front. He clutches a shortbow with squirrel tails tied to two points of the string as silencers. He has a quiver full of fluflu-fletched arrows at his back.
He looks around at the contents of the vault with interest.

![]() |

A kobold with silver scales walks up. "Greetings. I am Eltis, a humble priest of Apsu."
He is a slim kobold wearing functional but plain studded leather armor. He bears a staff, a dagger on his belt and a hand crossbow slung on his back along with a backpack. The only other adornment he wears is a necklace with a silver dragon hovering over what could be a pool or a portal...

![]() |

Another root leshy scuttles in. You notice they is covered by needles typical to pine tree. They is wearing padded armor and carrying morningstar and a heavy crossbow.
"Hello, Rain in Cloudy Day. I think I remember you. Greetings everyone." he says

![]() |

HECK YEAH LESHIES ALL DAY!!
Brocc blinks in mild surprise. "I Have Not Seen This Many Leshies In One Place Here. Hello New Leshy. I Am Broccoli. What Is Your Name?" You realize now that they're not speaking in a monotone, so much as speaking with an entirely bizarre cadence that puts emphasis on seemingly random syllables.
Brocc holds out one of their rubbery-looking limbs to the new leshy.

![]() |

Noting myself as a player that Ahas chose his mind weapon to deal slashing damage during his Daily Preparations...
A large-built nagaji arrives and joins the others. His bare green scaly upper body somewhat glistens from the incoming light that hits it. Aside from that he also wears some necklaces to have some accent in his body. A dueling cape covers his back with an adventurer's bag and climbing kit to complete his appearance.
"Greetingsss..." he hisses. "My name isss Ahasss Ahasssan. It is good to meet you all." he introduces himself.

![]() |

"Oh yes, Pine Sapling is my name. Nice to meet new colleagues." he extends his branch to Broccoli

![]() |

Rain's face lights up as he recognizes you. He gushes about how much fun their adventure together was, thanks them for helping him pass his Confirmation, and proclaims that the ruins they uncovered drew the attention of all sorts of important faction leaders for a special new training mission.
Rain recognizes you as one of the Pathfinders who undertook the training mission in the ruins. He begs for a firsthand account of your adventure.
Zarta Dralneen watches the conversation with amusement, but clears her throat to remind Rain of his current mission.
"The Archives get more exciting every day," Rain states then adds, "And who better to manage the excitement than Zarta! Oh, have you all met Grand Archivist Zarta Dralneen?" Rain prompts you to introduce yourselves. Zarta smiles and thanks you for coming. Rain and Zarta then lead the group to a table covered in interesting objects.
Rain in Cloudy Day waves exuberantly to indicate the piles of treasure in the vaulted chamber. "Just look at all these magic items! And enchanted weapons! And a skull that always looks at me funny! Big magic books about even bigger magic books! Well, I'm not sure about that last one. I haven't read them. Cataloging all this treasure is bound to be exciting! It sure beats sorting the mail."
Zarta leads the group through the vaults. She runs her fingertips along the table, lifts a strange hourglass, and inspects it with dubious curiosity. "Exciting, yes, and possibly quite dangerous."
Rain frowns. "Well, yes, but… at least we're in the safety of the Lodge? Can't be that bad! You said these items are harmless." He picks up a skull from the table. Its eyes glow with pink fire, and it speaks, "Unhand me, you hideous rotten mushroom! Harmless?! How dare you!" Rain replaces the skull and covers it with a cloth, muffling the voice.
"Well… mostly harmless?"
Zarta fails to stifle a grin. She tilts the hourglass this way and that, shrugs, and sets it back on the table. "Yes, mostly harmless. We believe these items present no major threat to us, and we've secured those we believe to be cursed. The true danger comes from an old enemy of the Pathfinder Society, the night hag Aslynn. She nearly claimed these treasures for herself before they were entrusted to us. We don't know why she needs the items, or which ones are most central to her wicked plans. I'm off to a meeting to discuss the situation with Eliza, Ambrus, and the faction leaders. You'll stay here with Rain and continue cataloging these objects. We need to learn where the items come from and understand what they do. Then we can decide what to do with them. Any questions?"

![]() |

The most important thing is not to forget to drink. So I think you have thought about some refreshments during our labor here, don’t you?
The dwarf strokes his beard.

![]() |

Euh I thought more about a fresh ale, you see?
The dwarf is a bit doubtful how you can refresh with an hot tea. With a tea at all indeed.

![]() |

"This is a very interesting team they've gathered here. How can we help catalogue these things? Nyx looks to Rain for further instructions.

![]() |

Ahas looks around the Vaults. "It looksss like we have a lot of treasssuresss to catalogue. I wonder how many hoursss or daysss it will take usss to finisssh them all." he muses.

![]() |

"Aah, now I recognize you, Rainy day! I helped you on your confirmation. But today we have a new adventure waiting us." Pine sounds excited
"Lots of treasure to catalogue and a talking skull! This will be interesting day."

![]() |

Zarta holds up her hands to keep you calm. "It's not that big of a task. If you find anything interesting, bring it to Rain and he'll help identify it for you. As for refreshments, I'm sure Rain can get some refreshments while you work. Anyway, I need to run or Venture-Captain Ambrus will have my head." With that, Zarta walks out of the Vault and closes the door behind her.
Rain clears his throat and hands you all a card that he prepared for this occasion.
Surprise! It's skill check time. I know you are all shocked and amazed that there is a whole section specifically on skill checks and/or socialization. The listed skills are the obvious ones for each location, but creative solutions may be rewarded!
1. Talking skull - Please talk to the skull. It doesn't seem to like me. Maybe one of you will have better luck?
(Skill Check: Arcana, Diplomacy, Occultism, or Religion)
2. Pile of treasure - We probably shouldn't leave everything in a pile like that, but we've been short-staffed. See what's in there!
(Skill Check: Arcana, Crafting, or Perception)
3. Assorted items - There's all kinds of stuff up in the raised storage areas on the west wall and in the northeast corner. Did we find any magic potions in the vault? Alchemical items? Talismans? You bet we did! I know a healing potion when I see one, but some of this stuff is beyond my experience. See what you can find!
(Skill Check: Arcana, Crafting, or Perception)
4. Pile of empty chests - I already looked through these. If you find more empty chests, just pile them in the southwest corner of the vault.
5. Danger! - These shelves are way up high and piled high with dangerous poisons and possibly cursed items. I think Zarta felt it would be safer if they were out of reach, but we should make sure there's nothing too dangerous up there.
(Skill Check: Acrobatics, Athletics, Medicine, Thievery, or Underworld Lore)
6. Weapons - There are lots of magic weapons lying around. See if you can find the most powerful ones. Our field agents sure could use them!
(Skill Check: Arcana, Crafting, Gladiatorial Lore, or Warfare Lore)
7. Scrolls and such - We sure did find lots of scrolls! Thought I saw some wands in there, too. Might be something useful for the Society's spellcasters in there.
(Skill Check: Arcana, Nature, Occultism, or Religion)
Thanks for your help!
—Rain in Cloudy DayAlso, you can use any Lore skill you have that seems to fit the needs of the area. When you post where you are going, please move your token to that location on the map

"Okay Rain, I'll get to it right away." He bows to everyone and looks for something that he feels challenging.
Nyx shies away from talking skull and heads over to the 5th table where he tries to climb up to the top to see what's in the pile.

Brocc scratches their head and shrugs. They aren't really suited to any of these tasks except those already taken by others, but they know a little bit about primal magic.
A very, very little bit.
Two others are already doing the only task Brocc is good at so he'll try his hand at the scrolls.

Ahas joins Broccoli on the shelves with the Scrolls, but he goes to the shelf where the leshy is not searching at.

Brocc heads over to the scrolls and finds a rather tatty scroll case. Opening it, he shows the scroll inside to Rain, who identifies it as a Scroll of Telekinetic Maneuver.
Pine joins Nyx at the precarious shelves. Climbing to the top, he doesn't find any poisons but a hideous mask resembling a demon. Recalling what he read in the briefing documents, he realizes that this is a demon mask.
Eltis checks out the pile of treasure and finds a brooch which he shows Rain. Rain notes that it's a brooch of shielding.
Kromrock tries to start a conversation with the skull, but the skull rather pointedly ignores him. Ahas joins Brocc at the scrolls. He finds what appears to be a recipe for something called "Broccoli and Cheese" and decides not to share it with the leshy beside him.
Satisfied with your work, Rain calls that he'll head to the kitchens and find some refreshments. You pay him no mind and keep working.
"They're not real! They can't be real!" The panicked voice of Rain in Cloudy Day precedes his rapid footsteps as he races back into the vault. "I can't… I don't… help! Please, help! They're after me!" Rain collapses just inside the vault, clutching the sides of his head and whimpering in fear. A hideous snarl from just past the entryway causes Rain to go completely still.
