The man who approached Myrianna is not cowed by her demeanor, words or magical display. Instead he seemed more intrigued. He does a double take and asks, "Both of you, hell yes!!! I am bronze rank and have muscles!" Diplomacy check: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8 Sounds about right for the check.

The receptionist gets the paperwork done with Mendas and his companions not occupied. Then offers to take one of them back.
Warlord John Morgrave Sorbin
|
He quickly gets the form filled out and offers to go first.
Myriana
Myriana's eyes narrowed in dislike at the guys demeanor and his words were atrocious leaving her with no desire to share a bed with him, let alone Iris! Myriana took a step forward from the chair as she said, "I think nyaout!" At the same time she stepped through a crack in space again and appeared next to Iris. The catgirl linked her arm through Iris' and began to move to where the others were registering as she said, "Come on Iris-chanya, he is nyaot worthy nya."
Ignoring the man's presence, or at least seeming to, Myriana began to lead Iris towards Deseer and the others to register at the guild. She did keep an ear out for the man to not taken her rejection of him well.
Pausing in case of more drama.
Desseer Arnalc
Desseer allows John to go first. He then watches with interest at his return and the process. He speaks up at one point. "So, what happens now for him?"
GM Wolf
The man looks around and seeing the snickering of the other toughs quickly moves towards the catfolk, "What you don't want a proper f$ck?!"
The receptionist collects herself and says, "If what he says is true you all start at least at Silver rank. The guildmaster was defeated by John and since he was healed the next one can test. But the guildmaster said he can't determine if you are higher than silver. As that is his rank. A specialist will be here in a week if not sooner and we can reassess you then." She puts out silver guild seals. "You can petition to join the elite adventurer's guild. I will have the guildmaster make a letter of introduction if you want."
The man hearing silver rank, he quickly turns and runs for the door.
Desseer Arnalc
Desseer glances over to Ink curiously as if looking at a merchant's stall and then looks away, disinterested.
<Hey Ink! How goes it? I suspect Myriana has things well enough in hand, no need to break character. How is the mission?>
Without thinking twice, Desseer reacts to the tough running. "No!" he says firmly without yelling.
Swift action: Hypnotic Stare (-2 to will saves)
Standard Action: disguise cast Hold Person DC 28
Bluff: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (13) + 29 = 42
Assuming the tough fails...
Desseer walks over to the paralyzed tough at a casual pace, his eyes locked on the man. He then leans in close to whisper to him, "You and your buddies will act more respectful to others from now on or I will visit such horrors upon you that you will beg for death." He pauses for a moment and then leans back to add, "And you will not be granted death."
Intimidate: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (1) + 20 = 21
..boo..
Desseer then rights himself and walks back and says loudly, "Go forth and be virtuous!"
Myriana
Myriana heard the man coming after her, angry at her rejection. She had figured something like that might happen but Deseer intervened before she could. She was only slightly annoyed at his intervention. She could have handled it on her own she felt but that he cared enough to intervene was nice so she decided it was not worth being upset about and instead continued on her way to register.
When she reached the desk Myriana said, "I'm Myriana and I want to register as an adventurer nya." She looked at Iris and asked questioningly, "What about you iris-chanya? Are you joining too nya>"
Kristrille Iris
A bit nervously she states, "Yes I would like to join but I would like to take the test to see if I am worthy to be the same rank as you."
GM Wolf
The receptionist nods and states, "Excellent deary. Come with me. Your team can come watch if you want."
She leads the group back through a long hallway the last door is wrought iron. She knocks on it three times, then it opens. You see a dome with a water feature to the right, several large boulders ahead and a few trees to the left.
The Gnome announces, "Another applicant from the same team but as a witch less strong."
The large scarred man gets up from the boulder and jumps down. "Greetings to your group. John gave me such a workout I am glad I dont have to test each of you out. From what I have seen you are above me. Now which one of you wishes to be tested?"
Kristrille Iris
She steps forward. Hesitantly she says, "I am sure your test is built for the martial classes what must I do to pass this test?"
---
She nods and follows. Casting spells as she goes.
Mirror image, Alluring Spores, and Tap Inner Beauty.
She ends with Charm (Su) : A witch can charm an animal or humanoid creature within 30 feet by beckoning and speaking soothing words. This improves the attitude of an animal or humanoid creature by 1 step, as if the witch had successfully used the Diplomacy skill. The effect lasts for a number of rounds equal to the Witch's Intelligence modifier. A Will save negates this effect. Whether or not the save is successful, a creature cannot be the target of this hex again for 1 day. At 8th level, this effect improves the attitude of the target creature by 2 steps. This is a mind-affecting charm effect.
"Come down here we don't need to fight."
Then hold person (DC 19),
Then Lightning Bolt (DC 20),
Desseer Arnalc
"What a fine testing room!" Desseer says boisterously.
on the man: Hypnotic Stare (-2 will) and then covert cast Detect Thoughts spending 2 ppp to increase DC by 1 for a total DC 24
Bluff: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (16) + 29 = 45
GM Wolf
"This should be interesting.
If John is but a minion I would be scared to face off with his leaders.
They look pleasant enough.
Ok, let her prep and wait for her first move...
This is a hefty witch I wonder if she will be bronze or silver.
Will save DC 18: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
He fails the check and...
His mind turns to infactuation.
The guildmaster puts his weapon away and walks up to her. [B]"Excellent work, you are at least a bronze. Go ahead and do any offensive spells on the boulder."
Ink the Spot
' A dozen devotees of Bratvanism coverted. Still workingnon a canonical work to improve our lot. Then with charitable giving and education and opportunity, if this works we will have a powerfulperpetual well of influence and money as well as lackies' He says as she continues to sit at his table and lets his arms push up his sleeves to so introcate tattooes on his hands and arms.
" Have you heard abojt Bratva and his holy works" He says to a passery by.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20
Myriana
Myriana gave a cheer when Iris stepped forward and stated she wanted to be tested and said, "Go, go Iris-chanya, go-go! NYA,-NYA!"
Myriana watched intently, being careful to not interfere, her ears focused forward and her tail lashing in agitation. She had sat on a stool to watch the test, and her claws extended just enough to claw into the stool a little. The test shifted from physical testing to magical testing, and she was eager to see how her witchy-witch would do.
Kristrille Iris
Now with the guildmaster helpful for a bit of time she releases a Lightning Bolt and an ice spear. She relays, "I can heal, brew potions, and do a few more offensive attacks at melee range."
GM Wolf
The guildmaster watches with amusement and relays, "Excellent, excellent. I will be giving you a silver rank. With those offensive 3rd level spells you are just into silver. I might reconsider it if you were alone but you have a team. Good luck on your ventures."
Addressing your group, "Unfortunately we don't have a higher ranked official to test you. But we have one on the way. Also there won't be many jobs that challenge your group. Our magic density is average."
There are four silver ranked bounties which are all out of town. Two towns are having problems with bandits, one has a spider infestation, the last has goblins and ogres. They are all set for 4 days to be complete.
Desseer Arnalc
"Well done Iris," he compliments the witch and then he turns to the guild master. "We can go through with a test for the lady and myself if you wish, but I can assure you that both of our capabilities surpass that of Iris here."
When looking at the bounty options...
"Well team, I'm partial to bandits. Evildoers bother me most."
Kristrille Iris
She politely says, "Thank you D... Mendas!"
---
"I see this one was placed two days ago, so a day there and deal with it. The reward is at the town. This other bandit one should be close to the first town... What about these 'X's and skulls? I am sure they mean something." She takes it to the receptionist and asks about the Xs and skulls.
GM Wolf
The guildmaster dryly agrees, "And John. You will likely be gold or platinum but I have no way to tell."
---
The Gnome receptionist relays with a grim demeanor, "The X's represent the extra weeks it has not been accomplished so this would be the fourth week. The skulls represent the groups that have not come back or were defeated." She perks up and says, "I am sure your group of five will be enough... I hope. Two of the four returned and had to retire. I can give you their address or send a guide with you."
Warlord John Morgrave Sorbin
|
"Sounds interesting. Yes a guide please perhaps Jessica? So we can quickly get going?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (9) + 28 = 37
Jessica Silverwind
She perks up from some papers, not really working, "Yes! Yes I will guide them to the Coppers. Come with me..." She hangs onto John with a sparkle in her eye.
She leads you down the paved street to a dingier part of town. An older section with houses in disrepair and shacks or tents all around. A few paupers walk up asking for a few copper, "Please I haven't eaten in days!"
Jessica skirts around them with grace and leads you to a two story house and shop. "I present to you the Coppers. David you have guests." A scruffy 20 something human male with black hair but also has patches of white comes out of the shop. Dour he says, "Oi? What?!"
Warlord John Morgrave Sorbin
|
He states with a honeyed tongue, "We come to hear the tale of your harrowing adventure with the bandits in Uthileng. We bring no disrespect but wish to learn for we plan to take that path."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (15) + 28 = 43
---
He walks up to Jav'Urk and asks, "May I give you a hand?"
GM Wolf
The rotund hairy man looks downcast but takes a seat.
He states with a sour mood, "We went that way, the four of us two weeks ago. We found our way there with Palin our halfling bard, Elrick our arcanist. I was the tower shield specialist. Jav'Urk was our rogue. We worked well together but the bandits were too prepared, rooted in place, and they had the numbers. Even a few well placed fireballs only slowed them down.."
Jav'Urk hops outside most of her right leg is gone. She hobbles on crutches to come out and join the story.
---
She accepts his aid. As she says, [b]"They lured us in, made us fall in a massive pit.
Desseer Arnalc
<I'm happy for you to join if you want. In this persona though you are going to have to initiate the conversation.>
Warlord John Morgrave Sorbin
|
He asks with sympathy on his face, "How many of them were there?"
---
"If you had your leg back would you want some payback? Mendas do we want their aide?"
Ink the Spot
Ink gathers his Phamplets and heads over. His gait off as he walks over to hear. he waits and then bows slightly. His face still a bit obscured in his deep hood.
'Apologies, I am Brother Svalt disciple of Bratvaism. If you wish to have a more Melee and stealth fighter I am your man. Besides bandits are antithetical to the Communalism of Bratva." Brother Svalt says.
' Hello ladies, and Desseer we meet again.' he says with a russian accent in the heads of those he knows."Who is this fellow?" He follows up having not yet met John
Desseer Arnalc
Aasimar-Desseer gives Ink a smile and nod. "Ah, Bratva," he adds longingly, That makes me miss home. He then turns to his allies, "A follower of Bratva and an enemy of bandits is good in my book."
<This is John, a new servant. The longer explanation can wait until after we had out. >
Ink the Spot
'AH I see. So I don't have to kill him when I revert.' Ink says with a telepathic smile.
'Thank you good sir. I shall provide a strong arm and quick prayer when needed" Brother Svalt says and looks to the other party.
'Do these bandits have any of your party? Did they take commoners? Do the ransom nobles or prominent Merchant Guild members?"[/i] Svalt asks the man before them knowing how thugs often worked. He had come across some in his former life. Which is fine as he knew how to handle it.
Myriana
At the pronouncement that Iris was being ranked Silver, if barely, Myriana cheered and glomphed onto her as she said, "Alright Iris-chanya!" Eventually, they had resolved things at the guild proper and began to look into the bandits they were going to hunt.
When they met the Coppers and listened to their tale Myriana's fur bristled and her tail lashed in agitation. F%*$ing bandits! When they were asked if they would want to try for payback against the bandits if their injuries were healed Myriana was a bit worried. It took strong magic to restore limbs and that might be a problem if that was not something that was easy to accomplish in this world. Still, they could brush it off until such time as they decided to go through with it.
Desseer Arnalc
Desseer again seems to come to after being lost in thought and looks over to John. With a questioning look he says, clearly not just directed at John, "Such healing would come at a heavy cost, John." He then gets deadly serious, "The kind of cost that is akin to selling one's soul, or or pledging eternal loyalty." Desseer's gaze darts over to Jav'Urk, "Would you make such a bargain?"
GM Wolf
He comes back to several moments later, "What was the layout?"
They reply helping each other with the details, "They had dug into the town. Made berms besides the pit traps. There are seven towers with 15 foot tall walls between them."
In response to Brother Svalt they both reply with different information, "The bandits do have two of our party. Tremin Kaylos Bard Extrodinaire, an up-and-coming local star and Kaven Hold our scout and ranger. Our wizard was able to dimension door us away but that was all. We don't know if they are alive or dead. They took all of the commoners turned them into slaves. There were collars and chains nearly everywhere. They did not need to ransom the nobles or prominent Merchant Guild members as it turns out the bandits were hired by them. This bit of information came to light after we returned and had more time to investigate."
Jav'Urk visibly gulps but after swearing she states, "I would be willing for such a bargain. Without my leg I can't do anything, we had it healed by the clerics but they could do nothing to repair the missing flesh." She looks teary eyed at the stump.
Desseer Arnalc
Aasimar-Desseer's face contorts into brimming fury as he listens to the woman's response. He then looks to the man, eyes nearly alight, "And you?! Would you accept such a devil's bargain?!"
<Ink, could you please let all of our people know that I'm going for something here? Reminder, we are currently observable to many folks.> he thinks pleasantly to Ink.
Ink the Spot
Ink looks at the others in the Guild, Marianna, Iris and this new commer.'Desser is trying something here. We are observable so discression is key'
" A soul is important. I myself gave mine to Bratva. Though his grace I will be reborn anew, serving him in a variety of ways. When the day comes to pass, my breath is gone and my heart stops beating, I know I shall see him in the afterlife. Welcoming me to my home in Heaven. To life in paradise. What say you sir, does that sound like selling your soul? Do his works and you will be rewarded if not here and now then in the afterlife." he preaches turning form the man to address the room.
Storytelling: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26

"Now who wants to hear more about Bratva and see if your heart guides you to his divine embrace?" Ink says as the charismatic priest who hides his face in shadows.
GM Wolf
Sorry my brain farted. You are not in the guild anymore, you were lead by Jessica to the adventurers who fled from the bounty and bandits. The Coppers. So you are still in public view but not many people are going by in this poor district. You might even see more people come down the road only to turn around.
Warlord John Morgrave Sorbin
|
He replies telepathically,
He watches and waits for Desseer to reveal his plan. He is getting bored. He pulls out a coin and flicks it into the air and catches it.
Kristrille Iris
She throws out some suggestions, "It sounds like we need to infiltrate the base. Perhaps get captured? Or act as toughs, bringing in a good haul? Pay a nearby village for their loot and help them relocate."
One hand is holding Myriyanna's hand, fingers intertwined. When not talking, she is giving Myriyanna attention one way or another. She seems rather happy. Her confidence is growing as well.
Desseer Arnalc
Desseer looks satisfied by the man's answer. He then looks sternly back to the woman, "All that evil needs to get a foothold is that kind of surrender. You are a danger to those around you in such a state." He then adds commandingly, "You will come with us. Gather your things, youare unlikely to return."
Warlord John Morgrave Sorbin

John goes in and helps the man.

John goes in and helps the man. Dropping a very heavy and large chest inside the house. He then helps collect the gear, placing it all but her weapon inside it. He walks out with her glaive in hand. He confidently states, "Come along, Jav'Urk, you will be our guide."
---
"No, I mean..." He stops as he is a bit flustered. He holds her other arm or has her hold his to give her the stability she needs. "For now we will work on balance. With a glaive as a weapon you must be familiar with tripping threats, yes?"
Jav'Urk
Taking his hand she stands, leaving the crutch behind. Taking hold of the glaive and using it as an anchor and John. She sultry whispers to John, "You don't mind having a handful?"
---
She smiles at the blush on his cheeks. Then replies, "Indeed, I am well trained in tripping others. I take pride in bringing many men to their knees!"
