Myriana |

Myrianna had observed everything they found with uncharacteristic quiet as she and Galah'ad flew through the air of this new land. The swamp was a swamp and the giant bird creature, while intriguing, was not something she was interested in tangling with until they had a better idea on the power structure of this world. Fortunately Galah'ad was willing to let go fighting the creature for now, they could always come back another time since they knew roughly where it lived.
As they continued on following the river and reached the forest Myriana was starting to think they might be getting closer to some form of civilization. It seemed like most games where villages popped up were around a confluence of water and trees or water and stone. When they saw all the mandrakes Myriana was a bit surprised, they were rather big by mandrake standards and she wondered if that made them intelligent. She had made herself invisible as well making sure to stay well above the mandrakes. When she saw the giant claw tear through thin air Myriana gasped in shock, she wasn't sure what the thing was doing but she made sure that she was now well out of reach of the thing as she was not going to get hit by that!

So'ren Al'gith |

So'ren looks at Dresser's unconscious body, and winks at Fir "What I wouldn't give for a sharpie now, eh?"
"Listen, whether he wants traps or not, I wouldn't mind installing a few around the farmstead. Nothing permanent, maybe something mobile and concealable? Even alarms would be useful for the men working out there."

Galah'ad |

Galahad is too focused on the fight and doesn't notice what Myriana did, he instead laughs at the ridiculous crab-like creature standing in front of him.
"This world gets more interesting every time!"
He assumes that it was that thing that tried to grab him, but since it doesn't seem to be able to touch him, he decides to investigate where the noise is coming from while his invisibility was still active
It almost sounds like... an engine? So this world has technology too?
He wonders as he rises in the air, looking for the source of the noise

Galah'ad |

Perception: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (9) + 23 = 32

Galah'ad |

Galahad notices the roaring engine's noise coming from beneath the Crab and dives down, raising an eyebrow
No way, is this thing an automaton? An android? Looks way too real to be one. And how the hell is it able to notice me?
Ghosts couldn't be perceived by blindisight, scent or sound if they didn't actively made noise, so this thing had to have some sort of 'see invisibility' skill.
That made him incredibly curious but also very annoyed, if this thing was indeed full-construct, then it meant he couldn't animate it as an undead, possessing it was a choice, but there was no way he could just walk back to base in the body of a huge crab. The other choice was to possess it and have Myriana check, but he didn't knew if she had any engineering knowledge
"Ah, what a waste. Will I really have to kill this?" - He said, there was no way he wasn't going to take a look at this thing with his engineering knowledge, but if he was to do that... he'd have to bring it down first.
Can I roll attack?

GM Wolf |

Down at the bottom of the crab like automaton you can see that the red on the top is likely rust as you see pristine metal plates below. Through a grate you can see the moving metal parts of the engine.
Then the engine shifted up a gear and Galah'ad feels himself being pulled into it! Will DC 15 or it automatically captures you.
Sure you can attack it if you want.

Galah'ad |

Will: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (17) + 20 = 37
Galahad manages to withstand without much trouble, but the sudden pull was enough to make him wary of whatever the creature is able to do
You still got more tricks up your sleeve, heh? - He snickers, pulling back his fist
Well, SO DO I!
A halo of unholy radiance shines on the top of Galahad's head as he adopts the style of the Unquiet Grave
Attack: 1d20 + 14 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 14 + 1 = 32
Attack: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 9 + 1 = 16
Does it hit? Reminder that the attacks of a Ghost ignore armor, natural armor and shields, so reduce that from the enemie's AC. In case you're wondering the +1 is because natural attacks are part of the Unquiet Grave's signature weapons, so I get a +1 to attack and damage

GM Wolf |

Nice! Thanks for letting me know!
How does your attack deal with DR?
Round 1
Galah'ad hits the automaton but likely only leaves a small dent in the metal plating. Though it can't hit you, yet, you have a few more rounds, 7 let's say. It has DR 10/adamantine.
After the 7th round the engine kicks up to a new level and it is covered in a magical sheen.

Galah'ad |

You just asked a good question, I thought it did, but since the touch attack ability specifies that it ignores damage reduction while the others don't specify that I'm going to assume it doesn't. So the DR 10/adamantine works. BUT I have to deal with that in my class skills and spells. BTW did both attacks hit? I'm going to roll for both attacks, tell me if I'm wrong and ignore one of them if that's the case. I also realized that Commando Prowess also gives me a +1 to attacks and damage, so it's a +2.
Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (5, 2) + 9 = 16
Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (5, 2) + 9 = 16
Galahad is taken back by how resistant the creature is, very few materials have a hardness like that
Apoitakara? Adamantine? - He mutters, concerned but also intrigued
Whoever built this f*&*er must have some pretty deep pockets to be able to afford making such a creature this big with so many expensive materials - Galahad thinks, reminding himself to not underestimate this world, but smirking
You really gonna give me a challenge, huh? I got something for you too! Shards of Adamantine Strike!
Attack: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (10) + 16 = 26
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14

GM Wolf |

Oh I thought the 2nd attack was damage.
Round 1-7
Galah'ad hits with every strike, Except for 1's, the dents on the panels do indicate damage reduction.
Though Shards of Adamantine Strike is a 7th level maneuver and the highest you can prepare is 4th. It is basically half your initiator level. Also you had planned to use the maneuver so you only get to strike once.
So what do you have readied?!

Desseer Arnalc |

Myriana |

As she watched the crab-like thing closer Myriana began to realize it was not natural but some form of construct, the red must have been rust and it had to run on an engine of some kind. That meant people had to be nearby since machines needed fuel and supervision, there might even be someone inside of it. That got her thinking and she wondered if she could spot a hatch that she could use to get inside of it.
Perception: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20
She is going to keep outside of what she thinks it's attack range in while she looks.

Galah'ad |

I'll write 'attack' for attack rolls and 'damage' for damage rolls so as to not confuse them. Alright, so I'll roll damage now.
Damage: 2d6 + 12d6 + 9 ⇒ (4, 2) + (2, 2, 4, 4, 2, 3, 3, 5, 2, 1, 2, 2) + 9 = 47
Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (1, 4) + 9 = 14
Galahad cheers with glee as he sees the damage sticking into the creature
"Not so tough now, heh? You overgrown appetizer!

Galah'ad |

I forgot to add the extra 2d6 from the Bronze Knuckle, so add this to both damage (they ignore DR too)
Extra Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5
Extra Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3
So, clarifying, the first hit deals 52 damage and the second 17, both bypass damage resistances. So 69 (nice) damage

Desseer Arnalc |

Desseer opens his eyes. "Oh, goodness," he says simply. "It seems that we've got, likely, a coven of witches to the east. Possibly dangerous."

FyrTheHunter |

" Its more an urge to wrap him up and eat him..." Fyr says a bit akwarsly.
" Yeah I can do that. I am the Weaver of Death!" Fyr giggles as she goes back to making a ribe.
" Can I eat them" Fyr says and then stops as she cocks her head.
" No, I do not eat people, I am not my character" she says fighter hwr in game urge to eat them.

GM Wolf |

Myriana, so are you staying 30 feet or 60 feet away from the construct?
Galah'ad uses his boost of Bronze Knuckles and strikes the construct with one attack, the dent is double the size before if not a little bigger. Then the boost fades.
Though Shards of Adamantine Strike is a 7th level maneuver and the highest you can prepare is 4th. It is basically half your initiator level. Also you had planned to use the maneuver so you only get to strike once. Or using the boost as a move action, which still only allows you one strike.
So what do you have readied?! I will be double checking your maneuvers.

So'ren Al'gith |

"I am afraid you might actually be, Fyr. We may all be." So'ren says, perhaps a bit glumly.

Myriana |

Whatever the reach of the claws/tentacles seems to be I am staying at least another five to ten feet out from that.

Galah'ad |

Myriana, so are you staying 30 feet or 60 feet away from the construct?
Galah'ad uses his boost of Bronze Knuckles and strikes the construct with one attack, the dent is double the size before if not a little bigger. Then the boost fades.

So what do you have readied?! I will be double checking your maneuvers.
You are right about Adamantine strike, I can't believe I forgot such basic thing, remove 32 from the first strike, that was absolutely my bad. But bronze knuckle is a swift action, which I believe doesn't reduce the ammount of attacks I can make? Since I can do a swift action, move action and standard action in one turn and I'm using my move action to attack.
The maneuvers I have readied for the day are: Bronze Knuckle (boost, swift action, 2nd level)
Iron Fang (Strike, standard action, 4th level)
Steel Flurry Strike (Boost, standard action, 3rd level)
Shrieking Shadow axe (Strike, standard action, 4th level)
Broken Blade Riposte (Counter, immediate action, 4th level)
Pugilist Stance (Stance, swift action, 2nd leve). I just replaced Adamantine shard with this one, I had no idea why I believed Adamantine shard was a 4th level strike. Again, I apologize

GM Wolf |

Myriana stays 70 feet from the construct and does not see any hatches.
I had assumed that the boost was a move action as most of them are, so you can do a full attack action against the crab giving you two hits. No worries it happens to the best of us, thanks for apologizing!
Round 3 to 7
Will you be doing your two strike combo or will you be using manevers/boosts?

FyrTheHunter |

" So I will embody the deadiliness od the Drider? I will want to stalk my prey, catch them wrap them in web and torture feast and fornicate on them! Thats awful, but also delectable" Fyr says as her tone changes from disgust to aprehention to finally a gluttonous rhetoric that causes her to smile large enough to make the corners of her mouth to show a bit of her manibles.

Galah'ad |

Since I changed the list I'm gonna use my swift action to get into the Pugilist stance. Giving me an extra 1d6 for every attack untill the fight ends or I change stances, I'll strike with the Iron Fang, giving me another 2d6 in one attack and ignoring Damage Resistance
Galahad quickly shifts his body, assuming a different stance, his fist seems to glow with supernatural light before he strikes again
Attack: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (17) + 16 = 33
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
damage: 2d6 + 2d6 + 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (3, 3) + (4, 5) + (6) + 9 = 30
damage: 2d6 + 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (3, 2) + (2) + 9 = 16

Desseer Arnalc |

Desseer sits up slowly and turns his head toward So'ren, "I appreciate you sticking around for the report." He then looks up in thought. "I'm not sure how to approach this. I'd like to make contact with the ladies. But it's hard to anticipate their reaction. I'm thinking a team go, just for safety. But, the more people, the more hostile it appears. The less people, the more vulnerable we appear. Thoughts?"

FyrTheHunter |

" I think we nedd um a face? Like its a literary trope as well as a table top gaminf staple. A face, you know good with people the smooth talker" Fyr says as she lets her lips cover her teeth. She didnt want the fangs that rested further back seen yet. That was for enemies.

Desseer Arnalc |

"Oh," Desseer says with a proud smile, "I am a face."
His smile then turns mischievous, "We could pay them a visit tonight. Make it look like I'm alone, but you'll be ready in waiting for trouble. Does that sound fun?"

GM Wolf |

Discipline: Steel Serpent (Strike); Level: 2
Initiation Action: 1 standard action
Range: Melee attack or ranged attack
Target: One creature
Duration: Instant
DESCRIPTION
By hardening ki along edge of his weapon, the Steel Serpent disciple uses the pressure of his ki to penetrate the defenses of his foe. The disciple makes an attack against a foe which if successful inflicts an additional 2d6 points of damage and ignores any damage reduction the target may possess. Additionally, if the disciple is using poison or a prana maneuver with this strike, increase the saving throw DC by +2. This is a supernatural ability.
So you only do the one strike.
Yes that does sound like fun!

Myriana |

So it has claws in the front, two I assume? How many of the tentacles and is there an area I could approach from and not get attacked while invis?

So'ren Al'gith |

"Perhaps an all female party should approach them. There may be a reason they are living apart from men." So'ren suggests. "I'm not really sure it's the best approach, just a thought."

Myriana |

Not seeing a good way to get close to the monstrosity Myriana, still out of reach of the thing, pulled her spare spell book out and drew on her reservoir to quickly replace one of her prepared spells with one to see invisibility.
Spend one res pt to swap unnatural lust (which would have earlier been swapped for invis) for see invis. I can cast it next round.

Desseer Arnalc |

"That was a thought I had as well. I wonder if, though, if they are willing to be non-hostile, then they'll be non-hostile. If they are going to be hostile, then a show if strength is better. So'ren, do you want to join? Or do you want to focus on the farmstead?"

So'ren Al'gith |

"My men are working on the farmstead as we speak. While I have an interest in it's completion, I believe assessing these women to be a higher priority, whether or not I am to be involved in first contact." So'ren considers. "But I believe it best we have all teams reported in before we initiate contact with outsiders, give everyone a say in the matter."

Desseer Arnalc |

Desseer nods, "That is one of the reasons waiting until night would be preferable. However, I am hesitant to wait too long. It is possible that, if these women are hostile, they are preparing. I'd prefer not to give them a lot of time to prepare."

Tobias "Willow" Wexley |

Willow takes the time to inspect the obelisk from afar. The water appeared to be flowing out from cracks within it's structure, but they were curious if there were any openings large enough for them to explore.
Eventually, after confirming no one was nearby, they would transform into a bat and fly towards the construction to inspect it closer up.

No one appears to be around and you fly around the obelisk as a bat finding that it is about the same as the front. Water wells from a fountain on top and the water flows from all the cracks too. There are four smaller obelisks about a hundred feet from the main one. Each of these are about twelve feet high and hover several feet off the ground. Water trickles down the cracks on these as well.
Water pools around each of them and makes streams of water.
K Arcane DC 15: You can tell there is magic within the structures. Conjuration magic.

Desseer Arnalc |

Desseer stands up from where he as been sitting. After brushing the platinum hair from his face he says, "I will be going to the ladies this evening four hours after dark. I will welcome any who wish to join. We will discuss specific tactics once we know who is coming, likely on the way. My overarching goal will be to gain allies. Is that reasonable?"

Galah'ad |

For the sake of keep the game going I'm gonna continue with the fight before finishing my mythic build
Galahad pushes his fist forward again, not noticing Myriana as he continues to pummel the huge construct
"You're going down! Bronze Knuckle! Steel Flurry Strike!"
Attack: 1d20 + 16 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 16 - 2 = 19
Attack: 1d20 + 16 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 16 - 2 = 20
Attack: 1d20 + 16 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 16 - 2 = 16
Damage: 2d6 + 9 + 2d6 + 3d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (5, 2) + 9 + (6, 5) + (2, 5, 1) + (4) = 39
Damage: 2d6 + 9 + 2d6 + 3d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3, 6) + 9 + (4, 5) + (2, 1, 3) + (6) = 39
Damage: 2d6 + 9 + 2d6 + 3d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3, 6) + 9 + (5, 4) + (6, 2, 3) + (6) = 44
Galahad laughs as he sees his attacks piercing the defences of the enormous foe.

Myriana |

Myriana could see how Galah'ad was punching the crab construct and found there was little she could do just then so she burned another bit of reserver arcane energy and replaced another spell before stowing her spellbook away once more.
Replacing alarm with magic missile and then stowing the book away. That should take up all of my actions for the round.

Inennarra |

Apparently neither of you can take a hint to make spoilers... because everyone is at this battle. Oh that's right all by yourselves.
Galahad and Myriana round 4, 5, 6, and 7 actions please.
She returns from her arduous task and returns to her station.

Myriana |

Since you want the next four rounds of actions, and it will affect what I do over the next rounds, on round 4 Myriana will be casting magic missile at the thing. Does it appear to work? She won't do it again if it does not appear effective.

Galah'ad |

You're right, I forgot it works like cleric/wizard prepared spells, sorry. So it reduces 27 + 30 since it didn't bypass the resistance, so less 57 damage from the total? I think it is. For my next round I'd like to make a gambit to recover my maneuvers but since it's both a construct and an opponent two sizes bigger than me I think the only one I can attempt is a sunder or called shot gambit. Could I do one of them against the engine?

GM Wolf |

Myriana casts magic missile and the darts seem to just crash upon the metal hulk.
It doesn't work like cleric/wizard prepared spells, You have your known maneuvers and readied manuvers. You use each of your manuvers and they are expended until you do a gambit.
You can attempt a sunder or called shot. I am frustrated that there are pages of information but no clear answer, either in Warlord or called shot. What would you sunder and the called shot appears to go against its normal AC. I am absolutely hating ghost, not you or your character but a ghost is just broken.

Galah'ad |

Got it, makes much more sense, thanks. I'm glad you made it clear that it's not against me or my character, I didn't knew it'd be such a troublesome template, I really appreciate your effort. I'll make a sunder gambit against the engine since you're right, called shot is hard to understand, a lot of things are left in the air for you to decide.
Round 4
Galahad decides to strike at what he believes to be the construct's weak spot: It's engine. Readying a blow he strikes right at it
Sunder: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (13) + 16 = 29
Damage: 2d6 + 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (5, 6) + (5) + 9 = 25
This gambit makes it so that my attack ignores hardness equal to my initiator modifier, which for the Warlord is charisma. So it ignores 10 hardness of the engine.
