Arthur
Cyril consoles the ardent womanizing best friend. From what Arthur has been able to tell him, Lady Velris is taking care of his needs, rather expertly. After a month, Cyril is astounded by the transformation Arthur Stavian has undergone, reminding his friend that asked to be the husband of a dragon must be one of the highest honors. And the fact that his draconic in-laws seem to adore him. Cyril makes a concerted effort to get to know Lady Velris as she becomes a part of Stavian's life.

During the second month, Cyril goes on several undead hunting missions to help Arthur gather the wishes he need to create his keyed Magnificent Mansion. Along with his other adventures among Queen Celest's Domain, Cyril does his best to be there for his friend..and his new family.

First Month
Cyril intends to not waste this opportunity to learn and experience all he can in Queen Celest's Domain. Rain or shine, the investigative wizard organizes his activities, with the help of his new gold dragon friends. The first two hours of each day is dedicated to mediation and prayer to The Mistress, often reading and rereading The Black Book. If the sun hasn't risen yet, Cyril will take a fishing rod and some worms and fish some dedicated gold dragon fisherman until just after sunrise. Then it's back to Queen Celest's Castle for breakfast. The remainder of each morning is dedicated to an activity. Monday mornings are jousting lessons. Tuesday mornings are wrestling lessons. Wednesday mornings Cyril sits in a large treasure cavern, where he counts and records any coin or treasure assigned to him, making sure to account for country of origin, condition, and catergory. Of course, if any of his gold dragon friends scout some interesting quarry to hunt, Cyril makes arrangement to do his activities later in the day. Thursday mornings, Cyril helps to organize the gold dragon library, and assist in restorations or labeling of older works. Friday mornings, Cyril helps in one of the many gold dragon gardens, helping to plant and water a wide variety of flora, including some magical plants. Saturday and Sunday mornings are spent socializing and relaxing with the gold dragons. Cyril enjoys the various debates of social and intellectual topics, and enjoys listening to Queen Celest's thoughts of rulership and governing. All of Cyril's afternoons and evenings were in pursuit of knowledge.

These activities have done a good job to keep Cyril mind off his broken heart. Cyril did profess his feelings to Lady Ambithia, but was gently rejected. She finds Cyril fascinating and a great lover, but does not see a future together. Lord Cyril respectfully acquiesces to the gold dragons request.

Arthur walks up from the path. He is in a different outfit. Has a few new weapons. But has his charming smile on as usual. "Hey guys, those 100 years took a long time. It was hard to minimize my contact but the forge is created. Come with me I will show you where to use the 6 month items." He leads the group over the hill and up a taller hill. At its peak is a well. He slaps one of the flagstones on top then taps a few more and jumps in. He slowly falls, at the bottom he pulls a few levers and a ladder opens out from the recesses down along the interior of the well. As you climb down he states, "It took me a few years to dig out this place properly. I did start with an original well."

There is a wooden cover over the bottom of the chute. He explains, "There is water here. It is just covered for now." He pulls a lever and it pulls back revealing another 20 foot drop to standing water. He pulls the silver lever labeled ladder and it closes the ladder. He continues, "I made a room for each of you. Also there is a forge, a library, pool, kitchen, sparring room, I even made a garden. Not here but nearby."

He turns around surprised, he offers with a bit of astonishment, "Well yes... you sounded like you didn't want to..." He stops trailing off he shrugs and states, "We have plenty of water and food, I was thinking about searching around to see what we could use in the area. We need to find some kind of place to rest."

"I will get to work studying the books tonight... wait! Since you are here you can start studying a book as well." He excitedly points out as he begins looking around.

He would eventually get to the well... but with Cyril's foresight, Cryil easily finds the well and likely points out the possibilities. Arthur then states, "Well then we should get to it." He pulls out a shovel, then puts it away. He offers, "Exploration first!" He takes the pail attached to a rope and slowly pulls it until the end of the rope is at its end. He looks at the wooden craftsmanship of the well and asks, "Do you think it will hold my weight?"

After several hours of... digging? The other four come up the hill. He climbs out of the well to greet the others. He gets slapped by Lady Velris and walks away with her in tow. When they come back he happily greets the rest of their merry band. Lady Velris looks a bit ashamed, no longer vindicated. He then explains, "As you likely can guess Lady Velris took my journey as a way to get away from her. I informed her of my plans, which would be to come back and ask if she wanted to go with me. I wanted to get a base of some sort settled before that. Well with you all here now we can get some major developments done."

He begins offering suggestions of what to do next and many follow his orders. Ed begins to dig as we fill our cosmic sacks with bags of dirt and rocks. Climbing up and down to deposit the said sacks contents outside of the well. He is open to suggestions as he only has a vague idea of what he is doing.


Several hours later Saronis appears with Ed, Saffire and Lady Velris.

After eight hours of grueling work, the group stops and rests. Arthur pulls out the Strength book, then offers the others to the rest of the group.

Saffire and Lady Velris take on the allegiances to your group and become Sublime as well. Any other bonuses they gain? Have we had blue screens yet?

As Stavian retreats after his gold dragon betrothed, Cyril put on a brave face and turns to the intelligent dog and first mate. The young noble bends down to pet the sublime animal. "Ed! You've come! Welcome!"
Cyril stands back up to face his paramour. "Saffire! You made the journey as well. Welcome! I hope this experience will make it worth your stay. How are you feeling?"

To my knowledge, Saffire and Lady Velris have not had their own blue screens. i believe Saffire has seen Cyril's. Cyril nor Arthur have chosen to share The Blue Screen.

At first, the investigative wizard was full of emotion over Ed's generosity to spend a century with the boys was very touching. But the aristocrat within Cyril took pause when Ed spoke of 'other halves' and 'revealing things to Saffire'.

100 Years, Everyone:
Cyril still dedicates himself to his studies, but makes sure to spend time with everyone; almost eager to get to really know his Well-mates. If needed, Cyril does some secretive undead hunting, just so he could have wishes to produce games for everyone to play and bond with.

100 Years, Ed The Dog:
The investigate wizard is well aware Ed might have the most difficult time in The Well. No other intelligent animals to converse with, limited area to be active. Cyril discusses with Ed and his other Well-mates in ways the awakened dog might still get exercise. The wizard puts forth an idea for an invisible collar to be put on Ed, so he can run outside without drawing anyone's attention or interacting with other people. Cyril acts as Ed's hands when he needs to.

100 Years, Saffire Ravenclaw:
Cyril has been conflicted having Saffire as part of the Well laboratory. Cyril believes Ed acted well-meaning but initially the noble saw the First Mate as a distraction. But since Saffire became Sublime, Cyril rightfully saw Saffire now as an equal immortal, regardless of her perceived social glass, which has always been a mental hurtle for Cyril to overcome.

In the intervening decades, Saffire and Cyril, much like the Well-mates, got much more closer. Eventually both noble and first mate gave into their desires and developed a relationship. Cyril discussed with Saffire the care in which both parties needed to do, so Saffire did not become pregnant. Raising a child, even a potential immortal one, in a well laboratory was no adolescence. Cyril made sure he was available to assist Saffire in whatever study she wished to pursue.

100 Years, Lady Velris-Stavian:
One of the first things Cyril asks Lady Velris to find out who is watching the dragon egg Arthur fathered. If the Well experiment worked properly, the time in-between the mother leaving and coming back for the egg would be maybe a few days. Yet, Cyril was still concerned for the egg. Secretly, Cyril hopes to act as a well-meaning Uncle to the product of Lady Velris and Arthur's union.

Cyril is very aware of any cues the Stavians wish to be alone as a married couple, but also cautions The Stavians about siring any more children during the 100 Year sabbatical. The Avalon noble sincerely hopes to be a friend to Lady Velris, not just be known as Velris's husband's friend. If both couples wish to engage in group sex, Cyril would not be opposed, just careful. ;P

100 Years, Arthur Stavian:
Cyril realizes The Well might be the toughest adversity to their friendship. Cyril works hard to be there for his friend, but also to give him space when he needs it. Together, both men improve their musical and academic skill, entertaining the other Well-mates with scheduled performances and original compositions. If all goes well, Cyril and Arthur will not be just friends, but brothers.

Near the end of the sabbatical, Cyril puts forth an idea that the Well should stay a secret for now. The Avalon noble suggests The Tome of Power be left behind, as well as the means to go back in time to renew them, as a reward for the person or persons who finds them. Cyril even goes so far as to make a sign-in book; asking all current members of the Well to sign it and to be left for others to find.

100 Years, Cyril Lucan:
Over the decades, Cyril is able to discover all known 1st through 3rd-level spells. The investigative wizard uses his Cosmic Ring to bring his arcane volumes with him when the Well-mates leave. The noble also assisted in crafting various weapons. Cross-referencing The Black Book of The Mistress and his own findings, Cyril was able to discover new arcane concepts, deepening his own understanding of magic.

Cyril asks for advice for when they all return to the surface. The investigative wizard has changed so much from the intellectual noble who left Avalon to search for his father's treasure. Cyril wonder if others find out about their exploits, they might be seen as threats, not heroes.

Once the Well is secure, Cyril is asked what he wants to do first.
”Run”, Cyril says simply. ”Just to run. To feel the wind on my face, my lungs ache with fresh air and exercise. To run.” Looking to Ed, Cyril smiles, ”Come on, Ed! Let's go!”
Both wizard and awakened dog run down the hills, exalting in the freedom of movement.

Silver Crusade

She looks at Cyril with a sly grin and teases him, talking to him with a child's tone, "You don't know much about eggs and dragons do you?"

At the mention of getting Ed a collar of invisibility he nods in agreement before offering a few words, "I agree that is sensible, I think if we each had one that would be even better!"

Cyril learns all of Arthur's secrets:
Prince Stavian of the Taldorian Empire. His uncle is the Grand Prince and Emporer.
He already saw you as his brother having no siblings. Sure he had plenty of cousins but none within 5 years of his age. A curse or something, at least that's what my folks called it.

Arthur loves to please others, that is his goal and greatest flaw. He does his best to realize when he is riding on anyone's nerves. After a few years he suggests vacations, travel more than anything, see some sites, keep a low profile at all times, etc.

Through the love of music and similar studies their bond grows stronger.

Silver Crusade

She takes on a neutral face with a warm smile, "Let me teach you then. The egg I left behind was a non fertilized egg. Whereas knowing Arthur this coming egg will come to fruition. Dragon eggs do mature longer with us than birds or reptiles. After all we are magical beasts, and beyond child bearing we are more closely related to felines.
Now on the topic of child bearing, if we want more we will have them. Though after the first egg or eggs, most dragons reproductive organs go dormant. Typically for years.
Most dragons have a clutch of eggs, typically 3 to 5. My mother had been known to have two eggs in each clutch.

Cyril its back and absorbs this information. "Amazing! I wonder how being sublime, literally infused with life energy, will affect your reproductive dormancy and clutch size?"
The wizard realizes what he's saying and changes tactic. "Of course, what you and Arthur decide to do in growing your family is a private concern. Though it would be interesting to catalog..."

She offers thinking you would be thrilled, "Cyril you are more than welcome to catalog the ordeal in as much detail as you wish. Though soon enough we will be family so... please forgive my dragon arrogance." Her demeanor lessens as she works at being humble.

A concerned look forms on Cyril's face. "Dragons can lay unfertized eggs? So they will not hatch? Can they be fertized at a later point? Is it a natural compulsion to produce eggs as other females do on a month basis. Does that mean we must find a place for your eggs while you are here?!" Scenarios awash over the wizard's mind.

It would take her at least a few years, maybe decades, but eventually she treats you like a brother.

"Sorry about that. Been wanting to do that for decades. So? Let's go find our ship."
