Here we are once again.
I'll go back to the list of folks from Portal of the Sacred Rune to see who wants to join us on this one.
We'll need at least one to replace Rallas.
If my count is right, there are 4 more regular scenarios, including this one, 5 if you count Fragments of Antiquity, which we skipped.
Then there's Siege of Serpents, which is a special and Serpent's Rise, which requires pre-gens and Serpent's Fall which is a 12-15 scenario.
And then there's the Ruby Phoenix Tournament, which is a Module.
So...depending on how completionist we want/can be some where between 4 scenarios and 7 scenarios plus a module to complete the Hao Jin Saga.
EbonFist
Make sure you check/update the numbers on Slide 1. I've been copying them over for a while but lay no claims to being sure they're fully up to date.
EbonFist
Hey guys...I've sent messages to Double Gold, TriShadow, Kyle "Worg" H and Massee to see if they want back in for this mission.
If none of them check in by Monday, I'll see about recruiting at least a fourth. I don't know if I'll do it through open recruiting at Flaxseed, though. I did not like my results last time...

oops, I have to drop from this game, I mistakenly thought I was signing up for a Starfinder game and I have no Pathfinder 1e characters in that range.
Diazepane Ketal

You can always play a 7th level pregen. If it helps, I could drop down to 7th (Bocke) or 8th (Tsuan) to help the APL.
DoubleGold
Thing is I've played dozens of season 5 from PFS1 as well and only a few season 5 I haven't played, I'd have to check through hundreds of sessions but I probably played this one already. Since Starfinder is on season 5 and 5-10 is the newest one, I thought he was running that when I saw the 5-10. I have used the pregens when I didn't have a character in tier, but everyone is high level, I don't want to bring down the APL.
EbonFist
So...with no one picking up the invitation (unless DoubleGold changes his mind) I have a couple APs where I could post invitations.
Watery Soup, would you mind if I posted in Malevolence?

Greetings and Salutations! Still have that opening available? My schedule has freed up a little.
Shifty
Also keen, what do you need?
Have
11 Witch (Face/diplomancer)
11 Cav (Lance of death charge kill)
11 Eagleknight (Pirate though, has own fleet, looking for last Piratey adventures)
10 Ranger (Murder beast, survivalist)
10 Ranger (slightly less of a murder beast, classic barbarian)
EbonFist
Yes to both!
Shifty, the table is probably lightest on the talky bits, though Taarik does well there. Some combat healing would probably be helpful, too.
If you guys want to check in on the Gameplay thread we'll get moving to the action today or tomorrow.
Shifty
Note for GM.
Lance and his mount Flash always act in the surprise round, and may take both a standard and a move action (or full action) when doing so.
Tenacious Guardian (Ex)
At 3rd level, a bodyguard can always act in a surprise round (though it remains flat-footed until it acts). As long as its master is adjacent, a bodyguard remains conscious (though it becomes staggered) when its hit points fall below 0. While below 0 hit points, the bodyguard loses 1 hit point per round but gains a +2 morale bonus on attack rolls, saving throws, and skill checks, dying only if its hit points reach a negative total equal to its Constitution score plus its master’s class level.
Your allies help you avoid being surprised.
Benefit: Whenever you are adjacent to an ally who also has this feat, you may act in the surprise round as long as your ally would normally be able to act in the surprise round. If you would normally be denied the ability to act in the surprise round, your initiative is equal to your initiative roll or the roll of your ally –1, whichever is lower. If both you and your ally would be able to act in the surprise round without the aid of this feat, you may take both a standard and a move action (or a full-round action) during the surprise round.
***
Everyone:
All allies within 60 feet receive
+6 morale bonus on saving throws against fear.
+2 morale bonus on attack rolls made as part of a charge.

HI GM! ;-)
What is the effect of the spores?
EbonFist
They do damage then more damage every round for 10 rounds as vines grow out of your skin.
EbonFist
I'm going to let Taariik's Diplomacy roll ride. It's far over what's needed but I figured you might want to do some RP.

Well, with one round of prep, Izlin would have cast Mirror Image, but that seems a little shady to do that after the fact. GM, I will let you be the arbiter if that happens or not.
Mirror Image? (CL 8): 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Also, are the riders incorporeal? Makes a difference in what I do this round.
So, if Mirror Image was cast, then this round is either Legacy Weapon to add Ghost Touch or Arcane Pool to add Keen.
If Mirror Image was not cast, then the prep round was either Legacy Weapon to add Ghost Touch or Arcane Pool to add Keen and this round will be an offensive spell.

Hey, gents, I put it in the last gameplay post but it probably got lost -
Are you guys going after the beast demon, the filth demon or both?
EbonFist
Any GM's think I'm doing energy drain wrong?
It looks like there's no save up front, if you get hit, you get the negative levels, but you can save to keep from the negative level being permanent after 24 hours.
That seems...harsh and like there should be a save up front.
EbonFist
Sorry for the delay, gents. Normal weekend pace for me then yesterday got away from me.
EbonFist
Alright my lads...I need you guys to decide on which camp location you advise the Society to use. First 2 shared votes wins.
Please also provide the below and I'll get the chronicle sheets out.

Also, let me know who's in for the next adventure. It's #5-20 The Sealed Gate.
Aaand, apparently I'm not getting any faster at running these as this one took me just over 4 months to get through. In theory that pace puts us at about 1 more year for the minimum set of adventures I want to do.

PFS Number: 826-12
Faction: Sovereign Court
Slow/Normal: Normal
Day Job: 10gp
Day Job - Perform 1d20 + 1 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 11 = 15
I have played The Sealed Gate before - happy to re-run and burn a credit.
Lance was a bit frustrated in this one as the ratio of flying creatures was a touch too high - but hey I should have thought about that before coming to the Worldwound :p
When are you looking at starting?
Also - what scenarios do we have left in the rotation?
EbonFist
I'm glad Lance couldn't get to everyone. That charging damage is pretty devastating.
It will probably take me a week or two to purchase the scenario and prep it.
Here are the remaining items in my list -
5-20 Sealed Gate
6-98 Serpent's Rise
10-15 Tapestry's Trial
10-20 Countdown to Round Mountain
Module The Ruby Phoenix Tournament
7-29 Serpent's Fall
10-13 Fragments of Antiquity
6-97 Siege of Serpents
We took a pass on Fragments of Antiquity because too many people had played it. Serpent's Rise is a special that uses Pregens. Siege of Serpents is a multitable special. Serpent's Fall is a 12-15 and Ruby Phoenix Tournament is a Module. Those are all possibilities, eventually but I'd at least like to run Sealed Gate, Tapestrys Trial and Countdown to Round Mountain.

Slow/Normal: Normal
Day Job: Craft (alchemy), Crafter's Fortune: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (6) + 29 = 35
#5-20 The Sealed Gate: Diazepane is in. Bocke or Tsuan are available if we need to drop down tiers.
Shifty
Lance is a beast when he picks a target, gets waaay out of hand when we have a party buffer though (I noticed this party lacks buffs entirely, my high end Bard is in another group and it makes a massive difference - same as when I play my Buff-Wizzy)
Serpents Rise (and Siege of Serpents) - I know them well, did a grind of those when I needed my 5th Star in PFS and had to do 10 'specials'.
Haven't played Serpents Fall or Ruby Phoenix.
Would have to look at the others - Antiquity doesn't sound familiar, but Trial and Round Mountain I played on a cruise ship :) I can do repeats though - I don't mind.

High level 'stable'
L12
'Hellion' Svetlana - Ftr 5/Hellknight 7. Reach-Melee and summoning monster.
'Monty' Amontillado & Lunchmeat the Axebeak - Rog 4/Cav 8. Thug Rogue Cav - Mounted melee (not to Lance level cray-cray) and half-decent rogue skills.
L11
Lord Sinclair 'Percy' Blakros & Boffins the Faerie Dragon - Level 11 Witch. Face skills, knows stuff, Fortune and decent healing (+Haste!)
Baron Lance Percival & Flash the warhorse - L11 Cavalier. Charge+Lance=Death.
Knight-Captain 'Blackjack' Jaques & Talamandor the Roc - Bard 4/Barbarian 2/Steel Falcon 5. The Bardbarian pirate, Inspire Courage buffs for days, solid melee, has his own fleet of Pirate ships. Excellent allrounder.
L10
Scarlet Scoundrel & Poppy the Lyrakien (the travlleing Thieves Guild & miniature circus) - L1 Barbarian, L9 Rogue. Ridiculously jacked Rogue skills - disable device is just plain silly. Highly effective flank and spank melee build, highly mobile with good acrobatics. If you need it stolen or murdered, this pair have you covered.
Pitbull the Half-orc & Asbo the highly aggressive Owlbear (the travlleing wandering Monster encounter) - L2 Barbarian, L8 Ranger. Over-the-top perception, scent, and blindfighting - you can never escape her anger. has an Owlbear best friend, both have the same aggresive personality. Excellent for Survival scenarios too.
Grim Dougal & Misfortune the Celestial Lion - Barbarian 10. The 'good guys' version of Asbo. An aasimar with a celestial lion - Thor from Aldi.
L9
Philthy & Bully the Mongoose - Barbarian 1, Rogue 2, Wizard 6. Suprisingly good at melee, can out-rogue most rogues, and great source of party buffs (haste for daaaays) - a solid allrounder that can fill party gaps and help out on the frontline.
Frost & Ragnar the Mighty, Celestial Warhorse - Paladin 9. Classic Aasimar Paladin with a Celestial Horse. Smite and crush. Lawful Good but not Lawful Stupid - Lawyer by trade, yes she judges.
Takahiro - Cleric 3, Paladin 6. Can Lay Hands so hard it can raise dead. A more gentle and refined paladin, diplomat, occasional slayings with his katana when words fail and people wont see reason.

I’d love to continue and honestly don’t think the pace is slow. You take your time with character development and NPC interactions and you have great setting descriptions so I really appreciate the opportunity to play with you as the GM!! Thanks for everything!!! ;-)
And one more thing: I still have a Paizo voucher so if it’s ok with you I’d purchase the scenarios for you and credit them to your digital purchases on Paizo?

Thanks for the kind words. I want this to feel like more than just a bunch of adventures strung together but I don't always bring that through.
And, I never look a gift horse in the mouth, so if you'd like to buy the next scenario for me, I'll gladly take it.

TriShadow, you're always welcome. I'm in no hurry to finish (if I was, I would be posting more.) I enjoy having you around.
Speaking of posting more...HERE are the chronicle sheets, finally.
I'll also report the game, today.
I'm still reading through the Sealed Gate but I'll post in here with a link to the new campaign when I've got it up.

Thanks GM- sorry I didnt see the discussion about character info. My bad.
As an aside- does anyone in this group have a stable PF2 group that needs a hole filled? I have never really ventured into PF2, but I think it is about time with Kal about to level out on PF1.
I have really enjoyed the longterm consistency of this group, and would love to have that starting out a PF2 career. Thanks for thinking of me!
