Ashtoret sighs that she never had time to sue color spray to the crowds of enemies, and then goes forward and just shoots with a crossbow.
Ashoret fires an arrow that sinks deep into the abdomen of Lady Riverbane.

"WE COULDA HAD SOMETHING GOOD! AND YA HAD TO GO AND RUIN IT!!"
A flustered berserk giant dwarf wizard barrels towards Lady Riverbane, axe in hand...
It looks like there's a charge lane open, just about, but I'll post an alternative action if not. Please move Korgaar as appropriate (a 40' charge brings him within 10' reach).

Dreki glaive fails to connect. Korgaar's charge lane is blocked by Ashtoret and his hammer, too, fails to land a blow on the treacherous piratess!

And then I remembered that I have Arcane Bond )) Blindness, DC 17 F! This is of course if she is still on her feet - otherwise I will not spend the slot.
Ashtoret touches the bone wand hanging from her belt, and then again to the unholy symbol of the Pale Princess...

The Pathfinders surround the defiant Lady Riverbane, many offering a strike capable of felling the woman.
COMBAT OVER
It is a copy of the Memoirs of the Silver Brotherhood.
If succeed at a DC 12 Appraise check, you may open the spoiler below:
With Riverbane dead, you are free to return to the Scrag Fisher. Two pirates still on board plead ignorance of their captain’s conspiracy and readily offer to bring you lot of Pathfinders back to Deadbridge.
We are nearly at the end of our adventure. I will give a couple days for roleplaying (as I will be traveling) and wrap us up on Monday. In the meantime, please be sure to provide your chronicle information at this link here.

"This is a worthless fake! It might look genuine, but it's definitely not. We need to ask Bazzak to give us the original Memoirs of the Silver Brotherhood - if he ever had it..."

"Huh... ow... good catch there, Merida"
Korgaar holds his sides as he recovers his breath. "Anyone mind if I down this healing potion?" the wizard asks as he examines Lady Riverbane's loot.
If nobody objects, he drinks it.
"Feel free to take the wand, Ashtoret. I have a similar one already. And now that we're on the home stretch, maybe we can pursue that exchange of knowledge we discussed previously?"
Korgaar's luxuriant eyebrows dance excitedly over his forehead in anticipation.

"AHA, a fake? We came all this way and foiled her plan over a fake!" Dreki starts to laugh and bellow as he prepares to bring back the body of Riverbane.
He looks to the others, "This time I swear I have a reason. Our friend back there will want a show for those that want to attempt what she did...better a pirate in charge that is our friend than a bunch of others fighting."

It was fast. The Pale Princess kept us safe. What are we saying to Pharasma? Not today! Ashtoret grins, and then turns her attention to a fellow wizard with whom she can finally exchange spells.

Following an uneventful return trip, the party once again finds itself in a meeting with the Black Marquis. The man listens to your tale with great
interest and thanks you profusely.
"T'would appear that I never had the original book in me hands at'all, thanks to that wretched traitor!" declares Bazzak, the Black Marquis."As with many things in the River Kingdoms, this latest predicament finds its roots in greed, betrayal, and ambition. Despite me own mastery of the art of deception, t'would seem to be that I failed to realize the part the accursed Lady Riverbane, played in me situation. The woman was plottin' t'dethrone me the entire time, spendin' months undermining me hold on the group. Seems, I were wise to only truly rely on a handful of close friends and bodyguards, though I err'd in includin' one too many."
"Open'd the hold, it did, to the Lady Riverbane devisin' a plan to get me last loyal followers killed," Bazzack pieces together. "She approached me with tales of how she stole the ancient manuscript entitled Memoirs of the Silver Brotherhood from Istivil Bosk, Daggermark’s resident Pathfinder Venture-Captain. She claimed the book held clear directions to a long-lost vault in the nearby Echo Wood—a vault full of great riches waiting to be plundered."
"With so much gold involved, I suppose me reaction was predictable. Unwilling to rely on me insubordinate pirate troops, I called upon all of the few rare men I could still trust t' be pursuin' a treasure hunt."
"Alas, what ye tells me is that, in fact, Riverbane never stole any book," concludes the Black Marquis. "Instead, she simply forged a copy of the famed memoirs, fabricating the passage about the crypt and its alluring prize. The counterfeit didn’t point to any gold but, instead, marked the location of something much more sinister: an unholy shrine to Mazmezz, demon lord of vermin. That be where the villainous woman led me best men and left them to die at the hand of ettercaps and arachnid monstrosities she had known be livin' there!"
"But, I swear t' ye, that I thought the book genuine when I sent a letter t'yer Istivil Bosk offerin' a deal: the memoirs in exchange for assistance. With rumors spreading and many brigands overtly challenging me leadership, I knew I had to act quickly. Thus, I turned to the Pathfinder Society for help. And, a good thing I did!"
Being the greedy pirate he is, Bazzak refuses to reward the Pathfinders beyond letting them keep what they looted. “Such is the way of the River Kingdoms,” he declares. “If nothing else, yer involvement in this affair helped free the region of a dangerous ettercap menace. Hopefully, that’s worth a quick mention in a Pathfinder Chronicle. No?”
As for Istivil Bosk, he is certainly disappointed by this turn of events but doesn’t hold it against you.
FIN
Thank you all for a fun table! I still ask that Merida complete the chronicle info here.
I plan to report the game and get chronicles out to you later today.

"Oh yeah, aside from nearly being a spider snack it got by blood pumping! Call on me if you ever need any more help around here!" Dreki says laughing at the whole situation.
