Iladora steps in, cutting off the mummy’s last escape route, and strikes with a powerful stab of her sword.
Adamantine greatsword + Favored Enemy - Power Attack: 1d20 + 9 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 9 + 2 - 2 = 21
Damage + Favored Enemy + Power Attack: 2d6 + 6 + 2 + 6 ⇒ (2, 1) + 6 + 2 + 6 = 17

GM Zin |

Putting Milo on delay
Theron brings his sword down with both hands, nearly taking an arm off the mummy!
Iladora follows that up with an equally impressive strike, finishing the job that Theron started, dropping the desiccated arm to the floor of this fine manor house!
1 Iladora, 2 Theron: 1d2 ⇒ 2
slam vs AC: 1d20 ⇒ 14 damage, B: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Though the loss of its arms does little to change its strategy, surrounded, it does change its focus to one of the two warriors that removed the arm. Focusing on Theron, it slams forward into the fighter with a powerful blow that leaves more than just a mark; Theron can feels the mummy's curse squirreling around in his system immediately! Theron needs to make two Fortitude saves; the first is vs aurum death (a disease) and the second vs mummy rot (a curse and a disease)
Round 5 (bold may act!)

"You got a problem with Urgathoa?"

GM Zin |

Theron's body--perhaps primed by the Festrog's disease--easily handles both potential infections from the mummy.
Red, Milo, Zim, and Menudo--clustered around the mummy--combine to fluster it with a wave of strikes from various blades and even wands, but not a single one lands.

The Reverend pulls out a wand. "Is there anybody who hasn't recently insulted my Patron who needs healing?"
Cure Light Wounds, likely for Theron: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

”No.” Iladora bites her tongue and says nothing further to Red, to avoid doing PvP compromising the mission. She looks around the room for anything that might be hidden.
Perception + Favored Terrain (Urban): 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 8 + 2 = 22

![]() |

Milo taps Theron with his wand, rather than let the charge he's holding go to waste. "Please don't fall today, or some of us are likely to go with you," the halfling says quietly. He then steps very gingerly around the fallen mummy to give his attention to the door it blocked, and the cries of distress from beyond it.
I'll just use the roll I made above when Milo missed the mummy, so Theron heals 6 HP.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29 (+1 vs. traps, if applicable)

GM Zin |

Red offers healing to any that don't insult his patron. Someone please positively confirm that this goes to Theron so I can note it in the damage totals.
Iladora takes a quick look around the room, but finds nothing significant in her quick perusal.
Milo taps Theron with the charge he'd been holding from his own wand. He studies the door to the western wing of the house and finds no traps.
Zim and Theron both dropped items in this combat; if you'd like to have them available, make sure that you spend actions on picking them up. There's a fire somewhere and cries for help; action economy is important now!

I'll make a donation in your name to your church when we get back... Theron says as he claps Red on the shoulder.
Thanks Milo...I'll be paying a visit to your...church when we get back too... he nods to halfling and winks. He grabs his shield.
Let's go...there's a fire...

Zim picks up the crossbow and hooks it on her belt before taking a step forward and opening (hopefully) the door the what lies beyond.

UMD: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27
"Shields up." He says to no one in particular.

GM Zin |

Milo, you also dropped your crossbow in this room; don't forget it.
Theron thanks Urgathoa's herald for the healing as he hefts his shield back into place.
Zim retrieves her crossbow and steps up beside Milo, eager to get through the door. Sorry, no open space in front of the door for you to open it.
Menudo lets Erastil handle his healing, and prepares further with a shield spell.
As it is, only Milo and Menudo are in position to open the doors.

Thanks for the reminder!
Seeing Zim retrieve her crossbow reminds Milo he needs to do the same, so he steps back to do that. He's clearly impatient to get into the next room, but seems content to let one of the brawnier Pathfinders open the door.

![]() |

After healing Theron, Red heads toward the door.

GM Zin |

Menudo, seeing Milo's nod that it looked safe, flings the doors open. He pulls his hands back sharply, instinctively starting to wave them in the air from the burning heat in the handle. A wave of heat washes over all of you, and everyone can see the glow of flames flicker on the walls beyond. Menudo and Iladora have a clear view of the flames themselves, which cover most of the northern wall of the small hallway floor to ceiling! Once-valuable oil paintings on both sides of the hall crack and smolder in the heat and flame.
There are doors to both the north and south.

Red, you're still up this round; you were already clustered at the door with all the others.

Combat Maneuver Bonus vs. DC 16: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
He may have less eyebrow than before, but he manages to stomp out enough to make the door accessible.

Zim leans away from the flames for a moment, then puts up an arm to shield her face.
"Do you hear still hear the screams?"
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
She pulls out her holy symbol again and casts create water on the burning space in front of the door. Or the one next to it if Red put it out. Does that do more than one space at a time?

GM Zin |

Red moves into the small hallway and--grabbing a rug from the floor--smothers the flames licking the door leading to the screams for help.
After securing his shield, Theron moves into the hot, increasingly cramped hallway.
Combat maneuver DC 16, create water, Zim: 1d20 + 0 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 0 + 4 = 22
Zim calls on Abadar for a few simple gallons of water, dumping them next to the now-clear doorway to clear more space in the hallway. Using a spell like create water gives Zim a +4 bonus on her CMB check to fight the fire (still just one square); you can roll that yourself moving forward. Please remember to move your token (or ask it to be moved if you can't); I moved it for you this time.
Botting Iladora
Combat maneuver DC 16, Iladora: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Iladora dashes into the hallway and pulls a painting a burning painting off the wall, smothing the flames below it as she stomps the painting out itself.
Unfortunately, the fire grows; the flames Iladora just put out spring back to life! The screams for help from beyond the doorway grow in urgency, though it's hard to pick out the specific words above the roar of the fire in between.
I added the flame rules to the map for easier reference.

Iladora jumps back a step as the fire spreads anew, cursing her human body that she can’t simply walk through the flames.
Targeting the same square.
CMB: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

GM Zin |

Milo understands why Menudo pulled his hand back from the hallway door so quickly; the handles are hot! He balls his fist tightly until the sharp burn subsides as he takes in the room beyond. (no damage, just flavor) The cries for help grow louder with the door open. "...help!" "...closer..." "...hurry..." can all be heard periodically through the roaring flames!
This is a small, well-furnished room with two large skylights facing north. The doorframe, bookshelves, and paintings in pretty much the entire western half of the room have shriveled into charred wisps under the intense heat of a raging fire. You see no creatures in this room; the cries for help seem to be coming from a room even farther beyond this one.
This room contains a marble bust of a lean and cruelly handsome woman behind the loveseat along the eastern wall, clearly the most valuable and only undamaged item in the room.
Iladora puts down the fire in front of her again.
Round 8 (bold may act!)
Iladora
Menudo (-7/28 hp)
Milo
Red
Theron (-18/40 hp)
Zim
A note: Milo is blocking the doorway. A melee CMB vs the fire in the next room from either side of him gets cover, so the DC becomes 20 from either Red's position or the open space opposite Red. Zim's create water is a short range spell, so can be done from her position through the doorway with the normal DC 16. A PC can also move through the fire into the next room; it's a DC 19 Reflex save to avoid 1d6+4 damage if you do so.

GM Zin |

...cursing her human body....
Now I'm wondering what body Iladora uses when she's not using her human one, lol

GM Zin |

Delay until the door is opened.
I edited the last post to add more context on the cries for help; they're definitely coming from the northern end of this wing. If you're checking the southern door for thoroughness, that's no problem! I just wanted to be sure you weren't mistaking where the cries for help were coming from.

![]() |

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
In other circumstances, he might care about the artwork.
Milo hisses softly at the heat of the door, and at the flame-filled room on the other side of it. "They're in the room beyond this one," he says over the roar of the fire, pointing--cautiously--towards the opposite door, and coughing a little at the billowing smoke.
He'll move when it gets back around to him, but it took all his move to get past Red.

He moves to it and shoulders it open, flames be damned.

GM Zin |

Menudo wonders what's behind the door opposite the flames, and asks Zim to open it for him.
Zim sends water into the flaming room, but her spell is poorly aimed, and the water steams away before it can put out any fire. She opens the door as requested; the room beyond is dark, though what she sees beyond shows it to be a richly-furnished and seemingly unoccupied bedroom.
damage, fire: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Theron barges into and through the flames, rushing to the opposite door and throwing it open.
The master bedchamber is filled with a massive canopy bed draped with silk sheets and littered with an assortment of small trinkets and relics, all scattered among piles of scrolls and parchments. To the west, hunched at the foot of a small reading table, lies a bespectacled man with a sinister-looking dagger protruding from his abdomen. The man’s right hand is chained to the right wrist of a woman who screams frantically as she thrashes to pull a second chain binding both parties to the flue of the fireplace. The chain rattles but doesn’t give. Smoke billows throughout the room, as flames lick from burning overhead timbers.

None of this has happened yet (well, except the talking; talking is a free action that can be done at any time). Moving to and opening the door (a move-equivalent action) is all that Theron was able to accomplish this round.
Oh, and the man is not dead yet! Dangerously wounded, yes, but not dead.

Too bad. Cutting off the hand would be a nice touch.

Would someone move me adjacent to the closest flame please?
I can move you, but since moving into that room will incur a Reflex save to avoid fire damage, can you take a look at the map and describe to me what square you want to end up in?

![]() |

Thought we had cleared the flame in the doorway. Gues I will stay put and burn off my own eyebrows.
