Noble-44 sprints forward, his pistol at the read. "Yes, now for some action. Bless me my Lord, let me strike true."

Rowdy closes in for a piece of the action. Noble accidentally gives his shot away, but he still connects!
The alien gives a massive roar and closes in and whips a tentacle over the stalagmite to wrap around Rowdy's neck:
Tentacle: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25 for DMG: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 Creature doesn't actually have Grab... huh
Round 2:
Noble-44: Go
Rowdy: Go
Magnok-704: Go
Giovanni: Go

Magnok takes aim with his Azimuth Laser Pistol and fires again at the tentacle beast.
Laser Pistol Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Fire Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
"Hang in there Rowdy! Don't let him choke you. Give him the choke hold back!"

"Ha! The bigger they are..."
He steps in and lays out some smackdown!
Smackdown!: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

"... the harder they fall!"

”I gots yer back, bro!” calls out Giovanni, as he moves up, again tricking out his gear, now to create an ultrasonic whistle to hopefully distract the beast.

Lasers and PWW (Pack World Wrestling) fill the area. Unfortunately none of it comes even close to harming the monster. Well, Randy gets close.

Giovanni: Miss
Alien: TBD
Alien: 7

Noble-44 takes a quick inventory on his person to see if he has anything else that may help hurt this creature after watching blast after blast not do anything significant ... and nope, he's SOL.
So he does the only thing he can:
Trick Attack w/ Arc Static Pistol (DC 20 + target CR)
Stealth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13
Arc Static Pistol Atk: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Arc Static Pistol Dam: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Trick Dam: 1d8 ⇒ 1

Game Master S |

While he trips, he still hits! Noble-44's shot sizzes the alien's flesh a bit!
Clearly wounded, but only moderately, the alien tries to make a quick meal out of Randy. This time it lashes out to wrap the ysoki up in a tentacle:
Grab: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17, but it's not enough to pin down the rowdy agent.
Round 3:
Noble-44: Go
Rowdy: Go
Magnok-704: Go

Giovanni tries again. This flashy thing isn't working, so he works up some noisy gadgets to try and make it work for his tricks
trick attack (engineering): 1d20 + 13 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 13 + 4 = 31
Finally, he distracts the beast, and then he shoots!
Azimuth Laser Pistol vs FF EAC: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

And then depression set in...

As the tentacle tries to wrap around him, Randy decides to fight dirty.

He backs away cautiously, trying to lure the creature into a flank.

Magnok directs his drone to move forward and fire its semi automatic pistol at the beast!
"Tarkus, Go get that thing!"
Drone Semi-Automatic Pistol: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Piercing Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
The drone moves forward and then fires a shot off target.
Magnok grimaces and then fires his own azimuth pistol!
Magnok-704 Azimuth Laser Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Fire Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4

Game Master S |

Randy's dirty fighting works better when fighting half a dozen people, not just one weird alien tentacle-bear.
Mganok's personal side arm connects though!
Giovanni tries a new approach, and while he pulls off his gambit, he can't aim to save himself.

Finally, something starts going right for the party as Noble-44 lands a telling shot! The beast reels and nearly collapses. In an instinctual frenzy, it tries to tear Randy apart with a pair of tentacles:

Giovanni takes a shot that lands directly between Magnok's. It's enough to fell the beast, which collapses in a cloud of dust!
There’s no sign of Envar here, but everyone moves quickly to free the trapped figure. It turns out to be Hetta, the missing Ixtli!
In a shaking voice, Hetta whispers: “They’re gone. All my friends...We came here to be with Envar, but…Envar had already left, so we set up a home and… then the fermawr attacked…” Hetta breaks down into tears, utterly inconsolable.
Everyone takes a moment to catch their breath before poking around. The You find two mk 1 serums of healing and some interlocking wooden panels that can be assembled into a suit that functions as ash dendron armor. In addition, you uncover a dog-eared journal that bears the inscription “for my dear littermate.” The journal contains a letter to Koopi from their sibling, stating that despite Envar leaving so soon they were enjoying their new life in the hills. You also recover several fashion accessories of Pact World design, branded with the letters “EE” in a fancy script.

Noble-44 gently puts a hand on Hetta's shoulder "I'm sorry sorry for your friends and fate didn't allow us to be here sooner to help. We've taken down this creature that stole your friends. Our blades bit deep and with finality."
Noble-44 waits a period of time for the tears to slow some. "And let me ask for forgiveness in advance for what I'm about to ask as my timing is callous. We need to find Envar. He may have placed himself or others like your in danger. We want to avoid anymore losses like your friends. Can you tell us where he is so we may find him sooner?"

"Hey that creature was something else. Not many out there that can take a punch from Rowdy Randy and still be standing. Sorry it got to your friends before we could get here to put it down. Anything we can do to help you get back safely?"

Game Master S |

"I wish I knew. I wish I knew. It's.... sad that there are now Ixtli who have gone off the path. I appreciate the rescue, but I think I wish we had never made contact. Thank you Mr. Randy sir. Please, I'd like to go home now. Just help me get there."
It's a somber return, but there's no time to handle damage control... Will post after lunch

Game Master S |

After final good-byes, the party sees the Hetta off.
The mid-afternoon sun abruptly disappears. A cantankerous ixtli whom you've seen before breaks out of a crowd; fingers tense around their spear defensively. A vast shape moves across the sky, blotting out all light. Their eyes grow wide. “Katura!” They murmur. “Behold, the Dark Hunter’s greatest servant.” Turning, the ixtli the crowd seems to call Rukos waves to their fellow ixtli. “Get back home, now!” It's the same creature that chased you when you landed!
At their words, the crowd disperses and ixtli scramble away from the cave, expertly dodging their way through the rocks. “You say that you’re not a threat to us?” asks Rukos, glaring at you. “Then let your actions show if that’s true or not. Prove yourselves, now!” Rukos hurries after the group, running back in the direction of the ixtli’s home tunnels—chased by the shadow of the great, eel-like predator writhing through the sky above.
Many of the locals turn to look at you, eager to see what you do next...

Game Master S |

Realistically speaking you could rush to the leadership and take direction, or you could get in your ship and take the fight to the creature itself... I'll go with a majority vote

Game Master S |

The party rushes to the Pegasus and takes to the sky.
By the time you reach the settlement, the katura is engaged in destroying structures. It reaches its tentacles into the tunnels and pulls up them apart, ripping open passageways. Ixtli flee from the tunnels in panic, with several ill-fated ones being plucked up and devoured by the aerial predator.

Randy, I'd suggest doing a DC16 divert to weapons... that will make all 1s be 2s in the damage rolls
