Octavonius holds his spell ready as both Amala and Fellzir fire into the misty fog - with one bolt striking true, eliciting a cry of pain - while Hallidan moves into the fog.

Amala sees the boy she struck move deeper into the mist and soon loses sight of him - and for a few seconds you lose sight of them - but Hallidan sees the pair emerge on the other side as one of them pauses to send a wave of healing energy over themselves, whilst the other casts a spell!

Hearing the commotion, Aurelius surmises that they seek to free the prisoner, weapon drawn, he double moves towards the prison cell

Hallidan closes the rest of the distance and strikes.

As Aurelius dashes off to check up on their prisoner, Hallidan moves to finish off the closest twin (his eyes easily recognizing the Iomedaen priests) - but before he can act...

his gaze is drawn forth as a clear, heavenly voice calls out from above you! As you all peer upwards you spy a halfling-sized, winged humanoid - its skin as smooth as polished marble - cries out "You shall NOT have my charges!" While it wields a bow and carries a quiver full of arrows on its back it does not fire at any of you, instead landing on the ground next to the startled brothers, as it intones a blessing upon them! As if to add insult to injury Hallidan feels a compulsion to avoid striking at the wounded brother!

Hallidan: I need a Will save DC 13 to attack Loran here.

The two brother's eyes alight at the sight of the angelic figure even as one calls upon their goddess to heal, whilst the other casts another defensive spell.

“Who are these people?!?“ she screams.

"Damnation!" Octavonius curses hearing the noises on the other side of the fog wall. He double moves in an attempt to join Amala and Hallidan on the other side.

As soon as he spots the small winged creature his eyes go wide. "What in the nine bloody hells is happening?"

He will attempt a knowledge check, assuming it's Planes. If it's Religion or Local it will be -3 if Arcana it would be -4. If it's Nature he wouldn't be able to roll at all.

Knowledge Planes: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18

Hallidan forces his body to move despite the compulsion effect. I will see this done!

Fellzir can only make a double move to get line of sight.

Amala's shot at the angelic figure goes wide, while Fellzir moves to cut off their escape. Octavonius recognizes this as an angel known as a Kuribu which is called to this plane to serve the forced of Heaven. It has the ability to project various blessed aspects to aid it in its mission, and also while the protective aura it boasts is not as powerful as other angels, it is a capable foe.

Hallidan tries to target the warded brother but despite feeling like he overcame the compulsion to avoid attacking - he finds that he targeted the other twin and indeed he feels the strange unluck pass through his body - and strikes true! What happened is Hallidan failed the Will save to attack Loran but he managed to strike the other brother as he was not warded.

The brother's retaliate against the tiefling here...along with the angel as it shifts aspect to take a lionlike form - and it proceeds to bite Hallidan!

<grumble> "That was a warning shot," he says mostly to himself.

Octavonius quickly divulges what he has learned about the angelic creature. His eyes go momentarily wide with a bit of wild excitement. "All the tortures and teachings were for you, sweet Asmodeus. I bleed and chant for you, dear Asmodeus."

With a flourish of chants and gestures, Octavonius casts Mage Armor upon himself before pulling out his crossbow seemingly eager for the fight ahead.

Prisoner still in our hands, returning to battle!Aurelius announces as he hastenes towards combat

Still waiting on Hallidan's actions here. I will bot his actions this round if he does not post in the next 24 hours. PS: Cimri is currently keeping an eye on Caggan, but she will join Aurelius in the melee next round.

Amala's shot flies true, striking the angelic figure here though it does not flinch from the hellish blow. Fellzir has worse luck here as his bolt is deflected away! As Octavonius prepares for the battle, Hallidan's blade strikes true again, while Aurelius and Cimri rush to the scene

...while the angel's face and voice become more birdlike - as the beak opens wide an ear-piercing screech emits forth! Both tiefling gasp in pain as the heavenly voice assaults their senses! Both Hallidan and Amala take Sonic damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6 and are Dazed for one round. (Fortitude save DC 13 for half and no Daze effect)

I already took the Smite damage into account Amala. 5 Damage + 2 Smite = 7 damage total.

Octavonius moves until the closest brother is within 30 feet of him and casts Ray of Enfeeblement on said brother to try and hinder his attacks further.

Fellzir casts Protection from Good and reloads his crossbow.

Amala's fury helps little with her accuracy, while Hallidan suffers the full effects of the angelic scream. Aurelius and Cimri both advance closer while Fellzir reloads - both of them taking advantage to strengthen themselves here as well. Octavonius's spell strikes true...

...but Loran shrugs off the effects!

Aurelius brings the blade of justice upon the beleaagured priest, and while Fellzir's bolt misses here Octavonius sends a bolt through Loran's throat! With an astonished look on his face he attempts to speak but only a gurgle of blood comes forth as he slumps to the ground...

Amala takes Sonic damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5 and is Dazed for one round. (Fortitude save DC 13 for half and no Daze effect) Unfortunately the rest of you are unable to wound it further.

Eyes brimming with the divine favor of his patron, Aurelius approaches the Angel and deals it a shattering blow.

While Fellzir again fails to connect here, both Amala's and Aurelius's blows are enough to send the angel back to the heavenly plane from whence it came!

COMBAT OVER!

As the adrenalin fades from your blood you see the twin administering a potion to his unconscous brother, which does close most of the grevious wounds received, but does not stir to consciousness.

"Is the plan to lock away these brothers alongside the beast?" Octavonius asks his comrades in a hushed voice. "My vote would be at least temporarily to exact information from them, but I worry about the long term sustainability of it all. If they are working with angel types I doubt this will be the last time we see an attempt like this."

Let us disarm the captives, if his body is showing signs of healing from an administered potion, he is at no risk of dying. Aurelius speaks as he does just that.

Amala looks at the brothers!

"I say we immediately kill them for this act of aggression against us!! They hurt us! They hurt me!" she screams and looks at her body and her wounds that are starting to close now.

They have laid down their arms and are citizens of Cheliax, as such they are entitled to a trial.
At minimum charges concerning their actions are attempted breaking and entering, violent assault on agents of the law, enlisting and consorting with hostile outsiders while doing so, attempting to free duly imprisoned prisoners of the state, using magic in pursuit of their crimes, using lethal weapons in pursuit of their crimes...

Aurelius states as he secures the prisoners.

You could use precedent based on Armigers Zathrik and Arkhan against the Order of the Scourge, case number 4/X-79-9. He almost hears a voice in his head.

If you slay them now, Lady Amala, you turn them into Martyrs, but if we crush them at a trial, and then slay them, we kill both them and their memory. Is this not a greater vengeance then a mere martyrs death? Aurelius whisper to Amala in infernal, seeking to deterr her from slaying the brothers right now.

Amala throws her hands up into the air and looks at Aurelius and Octavonius with a sigh.

"Whatever!!!" she says frustrated and moves back into the prison leaving the prisoners to the others to take care of.

"Lock them up and misplace the key for a while, perhaps. Anything in their pockets?"

Also, convert first-level spell into CLW for Hal, seeing as Amala is already back to full.
