You all return to the Jail, where the wizard retires to pore over the scrool. He has little difficulty in scribing the scroll into his book. Meanwhile Amala strolls over to the cell where Riley sits on the cot with a discosolate on his face. As Amala grills him again concerning what he knows of the Angel Knight and her role in the Glorious Reclamation, he cries out in frustration "Stop this please! I told you all I know! Let me go, please!"

Once your business with the bard is completed Amala turns her attention to Caggan, still trapped in the pillory. "So finally come out to gloat at your handiwork, you B****? Think you are all powerful standing out there and not trapped like a rat?? Why don't you free me then we can settle our differences once and for all? Unless you are afraid of me?" Caggan spits out the words with venom yet ends his words with a chuckle.

What do the others think about freeing Riley? I’d do it. He’s really got no more information. :-D

Amala is laughing out loud after hearing Caggan.

“Ha ha … you’re on your knees and I’m looking down on you. That’s all I need! But I’d like you to feel me some more!“ she says and spits on his face.

Before leaving she walks behind him and kicks him in the balls!

Wordlessly, she moves back to the team.

He would stirr up trouble, be annoying and show up in a fight when thats not in our interest, imho. Keep him locked up, maybe as a lure for would be rescuers.

What do the others think about Riley? And what do we do with Caggan? I mean will we keep him in this thing forever?

I don't have a problem letting him go, although I do need to kill someone for no reason in order to prestige later...

I am assuming you are letting Riley go here. As for Caggan is anyone else going to check up on Caggan with Amala?

Octavonius would be fine with letting Caggan stay in the cell indefinitely. Maybe he'll change his tune in time. Maybe he won't. If someone feels more strongly about another alternative he wouldn't mind either way. Also due to his backstory Octavonius wouldn't mind making the jail a semi-permanent residence if we wanted someone to stay overnight to watch any current and/or future prisoners and to take care of their daily needs unless we already have people doing that.

Aurelius would "check" with Amala partly to make sure she doenst murder him in public.

OK I am assuming Amala and Aurelius are going to check up on the prisoner, while the rest of you are hanging out in the Jail.

Once the minstrel has been released from jail Riley wastes no time in fleeing the scene. That unpleasant business concluded Amala proceeds to visit their lone prisoner, currently ensconced in the pillory....As the spittle dribbles from Caggan's face he roars in a towering fury and struggles mightily from his bonds...As you watch the spectacle you suddenly notice Bolgart's face and body changing, swelling and growing distorted! a greyish fur sprouts over his skin and his face takes on an ugly porcine visage complete with tusks! As you watch stunned the bonds restraining Caggan - whatever he is - have shattered asunder!

She moves away 5 ft, draws her bow and shoots at the boar creature but she’s so startled that she fumbles.

Aurelius cares little about what Caggan is, but a lot about what he can frame him to be!

As Aurelius ponders what sort of beast Caggan is Amala is unnerved by the sudden transformation and her shot flies way above him! Meanwhile Caggan lowers his head and charges at Amala...

Hearing the commotion, Octavonius will also spend his turn getting as close to the action as he can. "All this constant commotion. Very nearly makes me miss my prison cell," he grumbles to himself.

What in the nine hells… Drawing his short sword, Hallidan seeks out the commotion. ”Playin’ a little too rough, are you la— Whoa!”

The rest of you react to the jailbreak here, including Cimri who lingers behind the rest of you. Amala's arrow strikes true but does little damage, while Aurelius fails to make contact here.

Caggan steps forward maddened by rage and continues to pummel Amala...

Rushing in while the creature is distracted, he positions himself opposite Amala and strikes at (what he assumes is) a vulnerable spot.

My darkvision negates the concealment.

“Thanks Aurelius!!“ Amala says and again steps back 5ft, and shoots another arrow at the boar creature but she changes to her cold iron arrows based on Aurelius's suggestion.

But she again trips and the arrow hits the ground.

I am really happy his class is probably not Bloodrager with a claw Bloodline like Abyssal, and that he didnt grab "extra feature" at level 1 on top of that to have 5 natural attacks per turn.

Once Octavonius is outside he takes the briefest of moments to take in the strange scene. How had such a beast found itself so deeply entrenched in town? Shaking the thoughts aside, the old wizard stumbles to place himself within 30 feet of the creature without anything to block line of sight between them.

"If we need it, I have a spell that can weaken this beast!" he calls to his companions as he begins the flourishes and words necessary to cast it. "It will be much easier for me to strike the creature with a clearer shot! Step away when and if you can and I will aid us!"

Octavonius is readying a Ray of Enfeeblement to cast when and if "Caggan" is not engaged in melee combat to avoid the -4 to his attack roll

"Cold Iron? What are you talking about?"

Fellzir fires a regular bolt at the man-boar-pig, firing into melee.

That's a 15 after the penalty that I should have typed into the equation. I assume that's a miss.

Amala again struggles to hit her nemesis, as does Aurelius, but Hallidan's blade strikes true eliciting a roar of pain! Octavonius moves closer ready to target the man(?) with his spell while Fellzir's bolt is deflected away by Caggan's tough hide. Cimri draws her kukri and slowly advances forward working her way on the opposite side of the pillory.

Caggan steps back and proceeds to turn his attention to Hallidan...

Fellzir casts Blessing of the Watch and everyone in the party sees a small, unknown sigil appear above their heads that inspires them to get +1 to hit.

Hallidan steps around to the creature's other side to cut off its avenues.

Amala finds her blessings seem to have run out, fortunately Fellzir is able to bolster their spirits. Aurelius misses badly but Hallidan has better luck striking deep with his blade...or so he thought. No damage due to DR. Octavonius manages to find an opening to target Caggan...

...but Caggan shakes off the worst of the spell's effects! Cimri bides her time here waiting for the opportunity to strike. Caggan steps up seeking revenge on Amala...

"Blast you, stubborn brute!" Octavonius curses when he sees his spell have little effect. Feeling the magic burning into his forehead, he adjusts himself as necessary to avoid cover getting in the way and attempts to send an Acid Splash Caggan's way.

Aurelius manages to finally connect with a solid blow, while Fellzir manages to land a painful shot from his crossbow. The rest of you fail to connect however as even Hallidan's blow does little. Cimri finally sees an opening...
