Test of the Whitefang Wyrm! (Aftermath)
Frey wakes.
Three deathly missiles riddle the wyrm with form-tearing holes - it crashes to the ground, slamming it's head over a sheet of ice, cracking it, blue blood spilling across the crevice...
...an eerie silence permeates the air as the party waits for the Tatzylwyrm to stir...
...but after several moments, the finality of the situation sets in.
Griphook Ragnok |
"Yey! We did it!" Griphook shouts truimphantly. "But what'sh next? Should we wake the wyrm up?" he asks before he can even look that blood is spilling. "Oh no! We killed the wyrm. Ish it part of the deal?" he asks with concern.
Frey Syltran |
"Well ... it wasn't part of our deal with the wyrm, but he was lying. It was absolutely part of our deal with the village"
Frey uses a little Presitigation to cause the letters of the poster to appear on the ground.
"Over the past weeks, a creature some of us have come to know as the “Whitefang Wyrm” has been spotted lurking near our settlement, stealing fish from our nets and baskets and leaving nothing but wreckage in its wake. We believe the creature’s lair is somewhere on or across the ice floes of Whitefang Bay. As this creature poses a threat to the survival of all of Aaminiut’s residents, we have prepared a sack of ivory and oosik carvings from the Erutaki and silver bracelets and armbands from the Ulfen, payable to whoever ends the creature’s attacks on our food supply. Proof of the creature’s defeat must be presented to claim this bounty.
-Elder Seshu and Bjorn the Blade"
"So we must begin the grissly task of gathering proof ..."
Richard Marsh |
Richard quickly reloads his weapon once again as the thing falls, "Well then that settles it, don't it. This beast wanted a test of strength and got it, can't blame us for being good. Aye, lets drag this thing back to town but ... want to look around a bit? Maybe it has a little spot of treasure laying around." the gunslinger suggests as the group recovers from the combat.
Griphook Ragnok |
"Oooohhh, yesh, yesh. That wyrm musht have treashure hidden shomewhere. I'll try to look around for awhile." Griphook volunteers and begins to search the area. Perception +5 (darkvision)

Akkeri Norðursins (Part Seven)
The party searches the icy cave, and makes the following discovery:
...is empty!
And eventually, they head back to town, and are approached by Bjorn and Seshu - the latter broadening a knowing smile - the former "welcoming" the outsiders with "So: Looks like you made it back alive. Don't suppose the Whitefang Wyrm eluded your capture!" he crosses his arms, and one of his eyes drifts towards the state of his rented equipment...
