I don't have much experience with ship building. I just always like speed & maneuverability.
Yeah, we upped the speed last time, and I figured upping a weapon would make sense, given the storyline.
I have no problem upgrading the ship, especially in this campaign. Some players have interest in that sort of thing, some don't.
Is everyone ready for me to post Season 2?
re: Urban Defenders, I'll PM you guys the Roll20 link at some point. I'd like to get all the players together to do character gen, so we'll hold off on that until I have at least one more player. My hope is to do weekend afternoon, one day a month. Hopefully everyone can swing that at least once in a month.

Fair enough. Do you have anyone in mind? I could ask the people in my Caldovan Marches campaign if they're interested.

Good deal. Do you mind trying your hand at Engineer (ship function)? Mechanic is kind of the Go-To class for that, but you can go with any class really as long as you have decent Engineering.
If not, we can look at other positions on the ship. Mystic (reskinned as a Psion, per campaign info) would be interesting, considering the OSF is preparing for war with Illithids.

Reminder as we complete our leveling up in preparation for the next part, 5th level is your first ability score bump. Choose four of your ability scores to increase. If that ability score is 17 or higher, it increases permanently by 1. If it’s 16 or lower, it increases permanently by 2.

I'll give it a shot... will depend on schedule. Sounds very cool!
Are you guys able to make either 3/19 at 1:00 PM CST or 3/26 at the same time? For 3-4 hours for session zero of urban defender? audio/video (video optional).

Sorry, I was planning on easing you in as Krema before adding the responsibility of a 2nd. It's a little less necessary for you since your Engineer can be made to fit most missions.
We're largely full up on main department positions; perhaps a Mystic from Sciences for situations that call for such things? Not a demand, just a possibility to look into.

Well, I'd imagine bullet-trains are quite common. Small shuttles for the more wealthy, but of course you have one of those available, should you choose. I'd say if you're going in the local area, anywhere from Newark, NJ to Hartford, CT to the spaceport in the Catskills would be accessible in a half hour from boarding.
Via shuttle, I'd treat it like a mach-speed flight, maybe an hour to Chicago, couple hours to Europe.

Okay, had to throw something together, as the world was kind of crafted as we built the first PCs, so info was strung throughout the threads.
Here's some info:
New Player Intro
The PCs started in, and are currently back in, a small-ish frontier town known as Albarra.
They are preparing to leave town to explore some bandit-type activity operating out of an old military complex not far from town.
Current PCs are:
Pious (Human LN Inquisitor)
Spizz (Kobold NG Sorcerer)
Rocko (Gnoll CN Ranger, though he plays CN very casual)
We just lost a Druid (Player ghosted, no idea if they'll return at some point). We could use a Cleric or other healer, or a Rogue or other sneaky person, but we can probably make any class work.

I'll never quite get the love for gnolls, but then again I've only ever pictured them as those WoW enemies. "You no take candle!"
Which come to think of it, those guys are probably closer to kobold.
Hmm... With the need of a divine caster, maybe a wild elf who venerated an elven diety relating to death? I like this idea of this deeply religious individual whose practices and ideals might be seen as barbaric to civilized people. Why they're even associating with normal society could be a personal mystery.
Mechanically, I'm tempted to dabble in necromancy, but that depends on player preference. They wouldn't be evil, perhaps more TN in nature. I'd still pick up the regular divine healing and what not, as that's what they're mostly there for. The idea of having more bodies on the field could be helpful for combat is all. Dunno, it's not something I've ever tried.

Never have to ask me twice (or did you?)!
I'll take the other character, currently roguey-goodness.
If Uret changes his mind, I'll switch. No worries at all.

I play Spizz. Words of power blaster based fire sorcerer. Very friendly, mostly grew up in a cave with other Kobolds. Thinks buildings are the coolest, working on his ability to speak common.
I think that Pious would probably have a problem with necromancy on principle, based on their name you should already have a pretty good idea about what the character is about. Spizz is too uneducated to have a distaste for necromancy, unless it's gross like zombies. Skeletons would be fine, because they aren't yucky.
GM, if we do end up with a rogueish type, can I trade out that trait I took to get trapfinding and disable device? It eats a lot of my very limited skills/lvl.

I know how that trapfinding can be as a non-rogue, particularly for something like a sorcerer. Skills are a very precious resource.

You can, though, I thought I had given you an extra skill point per level to compensate for that. Basically giving it to you for free (except the trait) was my intention. With that in mind, make sure your skill ranks add up. If we get a better trapfinder, you can either switch the trait and drop the free skill points or keep it as a backup.
