If you aren't familiar with the rules of "Dungeon Adventuring" (found in the Core Rules of OSE), you should take a look. They are pretty structured and I had intended to follow them unless there is a strong objections.
If you are unfamiliar with the rules, you can check them out HERE.
Cool then, cool now.

I've no objections.

Sounds good, thanks for the input. We'll begin this now. I've never actually played this way, so if it doesn't work out (that includes if you all don't like it, of course) we can drop it later. I can see how it might be particularly tricky in a PbP format.

OK, I think this is how we'll work the turn-based dungeon exploration. During every turn, each PC can perform a "major" action along with a number of "minor" ones. Major actions can include searching an entire room, studying something in order to find out more about it, opening a locked door, etc. In addition, everyone can chat as much as they like; that never takes any "time" according to this system as banter between folk is the lifeblood of PbP games. You may also perform as many "minor" actions that only take a few moments as logically make sense. So in the instances of the last two actions by Knuckles and Osseus above, I would say that Knuckles handing out the torches is a "minor" action, while Osseus' searching the rooms is a "major" one. You don't have to perform a major action every turn. If you don't, you're just assumed to be standing around or keeping watch.
My 10 cents is that stuff will get real clunky if we get too grainular given lapses and delays in posting.
Best to just 'insert' turns where player actions have reached a certain amount and bump on... if we need more than a major action, just shoot us an ooc and maybe we'll cooperate to make it a turn action or agree on a multi turn action for other priorities.

Yeah, I think this is probably a good way of going. What works at the table might not work as well in this PbP game.

Unexpectedly traveling the next few days, my posting will be erratic at best.

Apologies for my delays, folks, I should resume posting this weekend.
| GM BrOp |
Can I get a reminder of the NPCs names? I'll start using them more often and help flesh them out.
I've included the three NPCs you currently have tagging along: Ariadne Beornsdottir, Aiden Ablefingers, and Barnabas Bladecutter, and given them some descriptions which I placed in the "Campaign Info" tab.
I think it would work best if three players took on the responsibility of playing them and running them in combat. Would anybody like to volunteer?

I’ll take Barnabas.

I’ll be traveling all day tomorrow, should resume posting Thursday.

Apologies for being incommunicado. Having some RL issues with sick in-laws, currently have no ETA on resolution. I'll try to post when I can, but currently can't quote a posting rate.
| GM BrOp |
Apologies on my own absence (again!) this week. I took last weekend off and then got a new COVID booster that knocked me on my butt for two days now, but I'm back now!

Hi folks! I’m still alive, though currently my life has skewed towards resembling a cross between General Hospital and the Jerry Springer show.
I put up a brief post in the hopes that Osseus can still be useful as a secondary spotter - please feel free to bot him for perception checks and assume he'll divulge anything he notices to the party.
I'll continue to post when I can, but again, no promises as to frequency :(

Hello Friends
I have unfortunately had a health crisis come up and find myself needing to step away from the boards for a time while I work on getting better.
I am really sorry for all the games I play and more so for the ones that I run. I do not know how long it will be before I come back onto the boards, but I hope it is not too long.
Please take care of your selves and I wish you all health and wellness.
Daniel

I’m ok but have been very busy with RL issues, and in all honestly prioritize the other game I’m in (and have been in going on 3 years) when I have time to post. That said, things look like they’re settling down/in for winter and I hope to resume regular posting at end of this month or beginning of December. Bucking the trend, my holiday season is looking to be much more chill than my summer and fall have been.
